Well, I went to a toy exposition in Liège (Belgium), I thought there would be more ponies but no, they were just put in one single scene with barbies. The exposition was a bit confusing, I think they were trying to be political or trying to talk about stereotypes and genders, but since I don't care about that, I just didn't mind very much about the texts displayed along the scenes so it was pleasant enough nonetheless to see each scene.

So here are some pics I took when I finally spotted some ponies.

Well, hello everyone. I don't draw that very often anymore. I posted juste one drawing this year, but I'll show you my DeviantArt gallery, because why not ? It might please some people's eyes.   

I have made slow progress and I'm still learning. Well, we can clearly see my "skill curve" over the years, all the way from 2012 to today for this gallery.  But before that, I tried to draw horses when I was 10/11. I've been drawing since my early childhood. I still remember to use my pony plushies as models, nearly all my drawings have a pony in them, I was between 5 and 9.  I'm pretty sure I was scribbling since I could hold a pencil and I'm not stopping anytime soon.

Hi everyone !

Well, I have found in a flea market some months ago this tiny G1-looking pony. It's Posey, isn't it ? Well, it doesn't look like a charm. Maybe it's a fakie but... I don't know, it doesn't look like one at all. It has this giant mane too... This is really intriguing. I can't find any inscription on it, it's too small to have been marked. Does anyone here have any idea of what this is ? It's cute though. ^^

Hello everyone !

A friend of mine just gave me her childhood ponies, thinking they were fakies I intended to custom, I discovered she had a Twinkle Eyed pony (Whizzer) and a Rainbow pony (Moonstone). I am so happy right now even though they are in really bad shape. (Dirty, probably rusty, mane cut off, "makeup" with sharpies,...) I really want to bring their honor back, I need your help !

Well, Moonstone is the easy one, just have to clean her up, remove the stains, maybe sunfade, scrub the rust off the inside and make her mane better looking even though it'll be short.

But Whizzer is the most important and delicate. She is as dirty as Moonstone, but since she is a Twinkle Eyed pony, she needs special treatment I don't know. That's where I need your help. Tell me all I have to know to restore a Twinkle Eyed properly. Her eyes are already damaged on the front face of her gems. What should I do to repair her eyes properly so she doesn't have that weird looking white spot ? Also, she is really hard, so I know she's not like the others. I will have to apply a good amount of heat to pop her head out, I guess. What chemicals am I allowed to use on her without ruining her eyes ?

How do I remove my pony's heads properly ? They are so hard sometimes it looks like their head and body is just fused together. I damaged enough pony necks, I need to know how to do it the right way. T-T

So, yeah, I'm so happy to have them, it is such a surprise, I really want to restore them the best way possible ! Send Help !

Hello everyone !

Well, this is incredible how time flies so fast. We are going to be in 2018 pretty soon now. The end of another decade. We're getting ready to celebrate 2020. So I was thinking, since Hasbro releases a new generation (very) approximately every 10 years, it is sensible to assume they're preparing a new one, isn't it ?

How would they look like ? How do we want them to be like ? Will there be a G5 soon ? What will become their so popular TVshow ? Let's talk about that and some other things regarding a new Generation, it might be interesting. Or not, and this topic will peacefully sink. 

Here's my opinion on the topic : I've always liked the G1-2-3 designs. They look really cute to me. I'd like to see G5 molds being something a bit like those G1-3, big and detailed ponies with various poses. The G4 toy design is not really appealing to me. I'm not sure why. They're cute though, but hey lack diversity, especially in the poses.  And I'd like to see a whole ton of different ponies, I love diversity. I'm not into the "Let's make 360 versions of the 6 sames ponies" idea like G3.5 did.
It would also be great if we encounter more dudes in that generation. How are we supposed to make families with babies if there are no boys ?  Bring the Big Brothers back !

For FiM's case, I really hope they'll continue it. I love where the series is going. There is so much more they could do. I really hope season 10 won't be the last only because of a new generation coming. And I don't want them to stick with G4 until the serie's extinction. I want the choice in the middle : Keep FiM and sell a new generation of toys.
I encountered the series during the first hiatus, in 2011. Season 1 was done. I have always been asking those questions since.
Now, whe're in 2017, it is time to ask them to everyone.

I didn't find a "restoration" section, so I guess this is where I need to go. Sorry if I'm wrong, feel free to move my topic if needed.

So, there is my problem, I'm a newbie in restoration. I am trying to get my ponies clean and infection free. I'm a bit paranoid and don't want to start an epidemic in my collection. (I keep them under 70% humidity to avoid fungal development)
I already read all the guide in http://www.mlppreservationproject.com but I probably missed something, haha.

First of all, I'd like to know how to repair a faded / yellowed pony. I've found wide brownish/yellow marks on my Sunbeam. She should look light blue, but she is just discolored with a yellow tint. I soaked her in a Sodium percarbonate solution for 6-8H but it didn't do anything really about the yellowing or her original color, but I guess it got her rid of any fungi.
Do you have any experience with Sodium percarbonate ? What should I use to get rid of the yellow traces and get her original color back ? I live in Europe so maybe some product brands are not sold in my country.

Next up, I got Sherbet yesterday, she is adorable but has "Highlighter marks", purple spots on her back leg and a bright yellow trace on her forehead that didn't go away with water and shampoo. It is said in the website that those are fungi too. I'm about to get her soaked in the same solution for at least kill the fungi and prevent any spreading but I'm afraid it will fade her color. Well, I should'nt worry since Sunbeam didin't fade at all, but Sherbet is really colorful. The product description says it has a whitening and antibacterial effect. Do you think it works on fungi too ? Probably, but I'm never sure.

- How do I get rid of yellowing on a pony's body ?
- How to I get a pony's color back ?
- How do I kill fungi ?
- How do I get rid of those various spots and traces ?
- How do I prevent any epidemic ?


I also have an other question, haha :

I had to get rid of rusty washers on Sunbeam and Applejack, their tail is rust-free and all, I am ready to tie them with a plastic zip lock, but do you have any good method to get the tail back in its place ? I had to do it once on another pony a couple of years ago, its tail popped out while I was combing it, its washer wasn't rusty and I struggled so much to get it back, I had to trim its tail at some point, my heart still hurts when I remember it.
