Pony Corral / I know this is a stupid question but...
« on: June 02, 2017, 10:12:42 PM »
I know I'm a moron. And I've seen people say things like "rub to non display side" and stuff when discussing flaws with ponies. I just have one question. What side of the pony is the display side and what is the non display side? And how does one tell?

Pony Corral / Pony population poll 2: what gens do you collect?
« on: May 30, 2017, 09:59:52 PM »
I am pleased to announce the second pony population poll survey is now underway. Y'all have ten days to cast a vote, so please, for the sake of science, vote. I got a few questions with the last poll, so I'll use this to clear up a few things.

1. All the results are anonymous. Meaning unless you tell me in the thread, I do not know it was you who clicked *option* . So even I don't know who you are. These are anonymous and I don't know who y'all are unless you tell me!

2. What is the purpose of this poll I hear you asking. The truth is, I wish to monitor the trend of people on this site, seeing if there is an 'common' collector, meaning the majority of our herd is *blank* year old *blank* gender who seem to collect *blank* generation and live in *blank* continent. With this data, I can compare the future data collections, seeing how the State of growth and shrink of our numbers change, and why. This is strictly for science.

Please, as always feel free to ask questions and voice your opinions. I wish to hear from you all very much. If you have one, give an idea for a future pony population poll topic.

Thank you for taking part in this survey.

As some preliminary data, please select the age range and gender that you fall under. Or just choose not to say. In approximately 15 days, the next poll, collection and country specifics, will be made public. Thank you for taking time out of your busy schedules to take this survey. The data will be compared for many years to come.

Pony Corral / Is it just me, or do ponies have a smell?
« on: May 14, 2017, 08:18:50 PM »
I've noticed with my g1 herd that almost all of the ponies have this smell. I have no idea what it is. I think it's the smell of30+ year old plastic. But whatever it is, I like it. It smells familiar to me and I don't know why. Do your ponies have a smell? Or is it just me, the crazy lunatic who just escaped the mental ward of the hospital. :lookround:

Pony Corral / pony survey! Get ready!
« on: May 08, 2017, 08:40:52 PM »
I've been thinking. There are so many here on the arena. In one year, how much will that change? Will the numbers grow or shrink? What gen is most commonly collected? What is the average pony collectors age range? And again, what will this be in one, two or possibly ten years? I would like to conduct a survey. The data from that survey will then go and be compared to the next. And the next and so on in order to track pony arena populations. the survey for age and gender will come out next week. And one new survey every week. I hope to see you at the polls!

Just a place for everyone to put pointless Facts. Because we can never have too much knowledge, right?

The first person to prove cows milk was safe to drink was obviously very, very thirsty.

Off Topic / Guess who went to the Calgary comic expo!
« on: April 29, 2017, 06:53:09 PM »
So, you may or may not know I was in Calgary today. With my fellow doctor who club members. We were at the comic expo. And of course, that's where all my cash went.
I guess I'll show these things I happened to pick up.

The ceil phantomhive figurine from black butler. We actually saw a guy dressed up as Sebastian. He even did the voice!

A lumpy space princess pin for my lumpy space bag. An animal crossing fossil pin. I love that game franchise!
And, a doctor hooves magnet.
A beautiful hatsune miku poster.

A beautiful black lady from sailor moon poster. The lady who was selling them actually gave me two by mistake. I want to go back and pay for that extra poster, but Calgary is quite the drive. And I can't get re-admission.

A mystery box. Really, I just wanted the companion cube box, but inside I found a Harley Quinn suicide squad pop figure, a Domo devil plush, some dota 2 phase boot knee high socks, a doctor who lanyard, some Wonder Woman stickers and, last but not least, a call of duty: infinite warfare coffee mug!
I recently got really into portal, and now I have a companion cube of my very own.

And finally, a rowlett plushy. He's sooooo cute!

Arts & Crafts Corral / I tried making pony clothes
« on: April 23, 2017, 05:50:03 PM »
I came down with something these past few days, and as such I couldn't do much. So, instead of resting like abnormal human being would, I made pony clothes! My first pony clothes! I made a tiny cape and bag for peachy. Never know when you may need a cape and a bag to hide a quarter in...

The bag

The cape, with a little collar for collarieness.

Peachy wearing it.

I'm thinking of trying to make little sock/boot like things. As this was my first attempt at making clothes, I know they don't look that good. But I'm happy with it. Want to make a good hood though...

Pony Brag Arena / Guess who got her grail pony!
« on: April 17, 2017, 06:17:51 PM »
So, in the super old part of the city, there is this antique mall. The old strathcona antique mall to be exact. It's huge, and I got a bit lost trying to find everything. But in doing so, I saw so many wonderful things. Mainly in upon shelf upon bin of pony! And so I bought a few new ponies for my herd. I never thought I would find a moondancer (my grail girl) with good symbols, but lo and behold, there she was among a dozen other ponies. And a bunch of others I never thought I would get.

A little buzzer winger. And the wings are good too!

A little sparkle firefly. Has a tiny crack in the hoof, but she's beautiful otherwise.

A McDonald's lady light heart, the start of my g2 collection!

A baby brother whirly twirl. The first boy pony in the herd!

Little peachy. She has some black dots on her front legs and cheek, and was dirty. The dots won't go away! Any clue as to what they might be? And how to get rid of it?
visitors can't see pics , please register or login

A little pony hat. It was on the peachy, and I have no idea what the hat came with. Any ideas?

And moondancer. The little darling has some discolouration on her horn tip, but the glittery symbols are so...glittery!

Off Topic / The funny thread!
« on: February 14, 2017, 06:10:40 PM »
A thread where you can share your strange, funny and hilarious life moments for the rest of us to laugh with you!

My story: I'm a huge wildlife fan! Except for spiders. Those things can just eat the insects well away from me. So, when I went to the wonderful down under to visit family last year, I immediately went looking for animals. Geckos. I found geckos. And I thought they were so gosh darn cute! My younger sisters on the other hand, did not. Grandma told us that geckos can't walk on carpet, so my sisters took the biggest rug they could find and put it under the door to keep any of the geckos from walking in during the night. Question for y'all Aussies out there:does this method actually work? Or was grandma being funny?

Pony Corral / What would you do for your grail pony?
« on: January 23, 2017, 07:08:40 PM »
I'm just throwing this question out there for curiosity. If you were in a room with everyone on the arena, and in the middle of the room was the most glorious of glorious grails you could find, how would you go about getting the grail? Hunger games? Hit and run? Just hide behind the trash can? Be the one beside me watching from my secret room orchestrating the entire thing, revelling in the chaos?
