I'm having finding Portobella and g3 Lickety Split on ebay for price checks.
A local seller has those two, Scooter Sprite, g3.5 Sweetiebelle, Starcatcher pegasus with flimsy wings, and Coconut Grove, all g3 (except Sweetiebelle), for $35. Do your think I'd be able to make up the cost if I resold all but Portobella?

I'm honestly curious why some ponies are so expensive, G1 mail-order aside. Sweet Scoops? Mimic? Cutesaurus? G3 Portobella? Etc.
I'm not complaining about price, I'm genuinely curious.

G3 Celebration Castle and Rainbow Castle; and G1 Paradise Estate and Dream Castle
What would be a reasonable price if I find one and intend to resell it? Also considering selling my Celebration Castle. I just started getting back into MLP and only know a handful of things to look out for in flea markets, local selling sites, etc.
Any suggestions for other things to look out for? I know most adult male G1s are sought after, Rapunzel, a few mail orders, and some gimmick ponies. I made one bad pricing mistake when I sold what I didn't know was a rare pony, don't want that to happen again.

At the kiosk at my USPS, I would select large envelope, since it was in a large envelope after all, and shipping was about $1.50-2 to ship a pony. The kiosk was broken this time and I had to talk to a person. They said that it was a parcel basically if it wasn't paper, and that the cheapest would be $2.60 to mail (it was a Bushwoolie, so even smaller than a pony). How much do you think the post office would care if I continue to select 'large envelope' at the kiosk? It's not much of a loss to me, but that would make shipping go up to $3 for every single pony I sell, within the US.

Every Firefly I see has a movable head. Who else has a moving head? Why did they stop doing it? Or is it just that she had bad clue? I also noticed that Y3 pegasus ponies onward have less pointy wings. Afraid a kid would poke their eye out on such a dangerous plastic wing?

$5 for a bag of 12 ponies. Included were Salty (BB), Magic Hat (Magic Message), Princess Royal Blue (with a shiny symbol), two sweetheart sisters, Braided Beauty (Brush N Grow), a pair of newborn twins, and a TAF. Most of those are from sets I'd never had before. Never even held a Brush N Grow, Magic Message, or Sweetheart Sister before! Magic Hat's symbol didn't work, but Salty came with his hat, and I hear that his hat is worth more than I paid for this lot.
The seller was local and is holding onto a full Paradise Estate as well. If I can find a home for it, she said it's all mine, for free instead of her $10 listed price. It seems like a bulky item to sell, but I'm sure someone still wants it. Any suggestions?
I got my first princess and So-Soft ponies recently as well. That makes my want list super small now, and I hope I'll be able to trade for a Merry-Go-Round pony or Chief. I still think my roller skate Melody is pretty cool, and I've had that since I was 8, back in the days of dial-up internet. Finding that in the wild here in America woulda been like finding a unicorn (haha) but it made my day when I was a kid regardless.

Howdy! It's almost lie a super secret club here. I collected G3 as a kid, and G1 from antique stores when I could, with a clear preference for white ponies, though my very first was G2 Skyskimmer. (*cough*Fluttershy*cough*) Now, I'm seeking a couple G1 ponies (mainly Chief) and looking to sell what I find locally, as well as what I am no longer attached to. I recently got ahold of a complete Paradise Estate for next to nothing and don't have room for it.
My collection is modest but my goal is to have one of every major type of pony. I recently got a Big Brother, brush-n-grow, sweetheart sisters, a princess, a bushwolly, and a So-Soft. I still would like at least a Merry-Go-Round pony, maybe a happy tails or a chatterbox, but can do without beddy-bye eyes or perfume puff.
I also would so love to geek out about G1 ponies with someone. G2 and G3 also welcome. I only got back into MLP with G4 because I heard John de Lancie would be in season 2.
