Pony Corral / I feel like the only MLP fan in this state

It's no secret that I love MLP & MLP:FiM but I feel like most people I tell around here just don't get it. It definitely makes me a bit jealous when bronies & pegasisters find fellow fans in their area because I feel like there is just no one around here.
Am I the only one that seems to be facing this problem? I just think it would be cool to know a few people in my state to talk to about ponies and even help each other with pony hunting  ^.^  Guess I'm also just starving for pony friends in general, I feel like everyone I know is getting really tired of always hearing about my constant pony tales  :lol:


I live in CT by the way... I feel like all the fans around here are either in NY or MA  :huh:

Pony Corral / G4 male pony brushables, yay or nay?

I feel like I'm always waiting for Hasbro to release a G4 male brushable (we'll just pretend that Shining Armor doesn't exist because lets be honest, he's a bit of a mess).
They've started releasing them in blind bags so my question is, do you think they will get around to making a few of them into cute little brushables?
Would you buy them? Which male ponies would you like to see be made into toys?
I would really like a Big Macintosh for my collection, I'm just sayin  ;)

Customs / Custom cowboy hats for Applejacks *for sale* :)

When I bought my first G4 Applejack she just didn't seem right without a hat on. I styled her hair like the show and had her sitting on my shelf all pretty but I just couldn't get over the fact that she didn't look right without one.
It bothered me so much that I ended up pulling out my clay and just making her one myself  :)
I know they sold one with her in a certain playset but it just seems to hard to come by, so I wanted to put it out there that I'm willing to sculpt little hats for other people's ponies as well  ^.^
The hats are sculpted out of Sculpey clay, so they're a bit fragile as far as getting tossed around or being dropped. They're custom fit so they will stay on your ponies head for show reasons without falling off.


I'm asking $4 per hat and all proceeds are going straight into my pony fund. As for right now I'm only going to accept offers in the US, sorry.

I'm looking for good-excellent condition ponies. No hair cuts, no major symbol/eye rubs, no (major) marker/pen marks or cancer. Dry hair and slight body fading is okay.
I would prefer to try and keep trades/sales in the US for shipping reasons.

Pony Corral / Blind Bags at CVS!

I mentioned something about this in the 'Diamond Rose and Cherry Pie found in Target!' thread and some people were a bit shocked. I didn't know if it was heard of before or not after that so I thought I should make a proper topic to give you all a heads up  :biggrin:


Yesterday I was passing through Granby, CT and my mother and myself ended up stopping into a CVS on the way to get a dog collar, so while she was looking for that I checked the (VERY small) toy isle they had for ponies. They had about 15 ponies in stock (including Diamond Rose for those of you looking for her) and I was about to walk off with her when I noticed a MLP blind bag box on the shelf just below them. It was covered with other toys and honestly looked like it had never even been touched before lol So I went through it and got a few ponies that I had been looking for. It was a really unexpected but awesome find  ^.^

The bags were priced $3.99 each, which let me just say is a bit ridiculous since the Toys R' Us I went to when I got my other blind bags were only $1.99.
I'm planning on checking my local CVS soon to see if I have any luck there. It'd be A LOT easier than having to find a way out to Toys R' Us which is almost an hour away from my house.

Just figured I'd give you all a heads up in case your local CVS carries them too because I know many of you are looking for them!

Pony Brag Arena / Early B-Day Haul :D

So I woke up this morning to a huge bag of ponies my mom had bought me today. My birthday isn't for another month but she couldn't wait to give them all to me so I got to go through them all today  :biggrin:  It was so unexpected and to top off all the ponies, she also went to our local McDonalds and convinced them to let her have one of every pony so now I have the whole collection  :shocked:

I knew I had some ponies stashed around here and it took me a good while to find them but I did manage to find a couple!
Shield your eyes from Rainbow Flash's hair, it is a mess and a half  :shocked:  I can't wait to give them all the star treatment and fix their messed up hair xD

I know I have a bunch more G3 ponies and at least one more G2 more around here somewhere...
I also just recently saw a picture of the G2 McDonalds toys and realized that I had some while I was growing up, now I'm determined to go to my grandmother's house and find them  :P  Thank god for my grandfather who kept doubles and triples of just about every MD's toy that came out since I was born, I'm pretty optimistic that I might be able to find at least one, still in package MLP toy  :biggrin:


I'm thinking of fixing them up and maybe putting some up for sale  ^.^

Pony Corral / Re-Styled My First G4 Ponies!

About a week ago I went out and bought myself the Mane 6 (minus Twilight). It really bothered me how the packaging messed up their hair (not to mention that Hasbro could've put a little more effort into styling them), so I began looking up online how to properly re-style pony hair. I say properly because back in the day I used to cut, comb, etc but I had no idea what I was doing and the last thing I wanted to do was to mess these little beauties up  :lol:
I'm really, really happy with how they came out and to be honest I want to show them off a bit  :P

I started off with Fluttershy because I figured she would be the easiest to do and I was right. I barely had to do anything except wet her hair, part it, style it with my fingers and let it dry.

The second pony I did was Rarity, don't ask me why but it just happened that way haha I re-did her hair twice, the first time came out good but I tried a different method the second time and liked how it came out better. I ended up styling her facing the wrong side though so her cutie mark is MIA  >_<

Next was Pinkie. After I got the hang of straw curls with Rarity I figured Pinkie would be good to do next. I re-did her hair twice as well, the first time the top of her hair didn't come out right but second time it seems to be too much. Honestly I might re-do it again.

After Pinkie came Applejack. I wanted to do her before Rainbow Dash because RD is my favorite and took forever to find so I wanted to have at least one pony under my belt with cut bangs before I touched her. I'm really happy with how AJ came out though, the bangs and everything. It annoyed me that she didn't have a hat, so I took it upon myself to make her a custom one out of clay  ^.^

And last, Rainbow Dash  :biggrin:  I'm relieved that I didn't mess her up and I'm actually happy with how she looks seeing as I cut the most length off her mane than any of the others. For both her and AJ's bangs I used a little trick so their bangs wouldn't stick up after I cut them by putting on the visor that came with my RD to press it down flat to their foreheads, it worked really well.

Introductions / Hi Everyone!

Hey :heart: !
 Well first off, my name is Shannon  :) .
I've been an MLP fan ever since I was about 7yrs old, my sister got me into them and it's been love ever since. I recently just got back into my love for them thanks the the G4 ponies.


I really enjoy customizing and styling ponies so I'm hoping I'll be able to get my projects out there for other pony lovers to see  :biggrin:
I can't wait to meet more people who have a love for MLP as much as I do because right now I'm kind of lacking in that department. I'd love to make some friends so don't be shy  ^.^
