Pony Corral / Replacement irises for BBE Baby Ponies?
« on: January 09, 2018, 08:58:56 PM »
So, I bought a Baby Sundance in need of TLC off of eBay. And part of the TLC she needs, well... Her right iris is missing.
What would be a good source for a replacement?

Pony Corral / Mixed-gen Meetings
« on: November 29, 2017, 11:37:18 AM »
Was originally going to just post about a pic or two of mine, but figured it would be better to make this a more general-purpose thread about pictures of characters of different generations meeting and interacting. I'll start with what I've got:

This one, I've already shared elsewhere on the Arena. Megan riding Shining Friends Twilight Sparkle while Sundance watches.

And here, Megan, Sundance, Starcatcher, Princess Celestia, Twilight Sparkle, and G4 Pinkie Pie have gone out for a treat at the Satin Slipper Sweet Shoppe, where today Lickety-Split is helping out Scoops behind the counter.

On Black Friday itself, I got this big Twilight Sparkle plush at thrift for $1.64

Then on Saturday I bought "All About" Big McIntosh, Shining Friends Twilight Sparkle, and Titans Return Broadside. I wanted Shining Friends Twi because she's a proper depiction of Alicorn Twi that's basically G4 Fashion Style scale, which is a good size for...

Pony Corral / Question about the Carry Case and Collector's Cases
« on: November 22, 2017, 01:58:46 PM »
The G1 cases have inspired me to make similar cases for my ponies. Buying enough of the official ones to hold everyone I have and plan to get would be greedy, plus I want to make ones tailored to kinds the official cases aren't as well suited for (Flutter Ponies, for example) as well as specialty cases (such as a Megan and Sundance case).
What I want to know is, what material are they made of? Is it just laminated cardboard?

Arts & Crafts Corral / Sundance outfit concept(s)
« on: November 21, 2017, 03:56:04 AM »
I love the Megan and Pony Wear sets, I want them all (sadly don't have any yet). Anyway, I thought it would be fun to design an outfit for Sundance that matched Megan's from Rescue at Midnight Castle (as seen here), to make a full set of it. Here's my concept:

Orange saddle blanket (to match Megan's shirt), iron gray horseshoe-style shoes, and either a brown (to match Megan's vest) or denim blue (to match her jeans) saddle. What do you think?
Also want to design one to go with the Escape from Katrina outfit since now that this is on my mind.

First thing's first. My G1 toys are all secondhand loose, and the only one to still have ribbons was Molly and I believe her hair ribbons are a different length than the standard tail ribbon. So, I would like to know for sure how long the standard tail ribbons are so that I can cut proper-length replacements.

Second, my Hollywood had her mane cut severely short. I would like opinions on which Dollyhair color would be the best match (I was thinking Moonlight but I would like to hear what others think).

Third, I was wondering if it was safe to use rubbing alcohol on ponies to remove things like ink marks. I know from reading the horror stories that acne removal products are a bad idea on pony plastic, but I was wondering if rubbing alcohol (which is a simple solvent that evaporates quickly) might be safe.

I very much want Dream Castle and Paradise Estate, but my current earning capacity (recycling money and a spring seasonal job) is not likely to get me the purchasing power for them any time soon.

So I am asking for measurements of the walls and doors and roofs and crenelations and such, and ideally tracings of round and arched openings, to use in making homemade surrogates out of cardboard and such.

My thanks in advance to anyone willing.

ETA: On reflection I would like the measurements for the Show Stable too. I might be able to afford that at some point, but it could be a while and it also seems like it might be a more manageable starter as far as these building projects go.

Pony Corral / Megan and Sundance encounter something

Megan and Sundance were exploring today... and what should they happen across? A living breathing Spinosaurus! Not the nastiest beastie they've ever encountered, but still.

This was a gift I drew for a close friend, of her ponysona getting married to Silver Spoon, Diamond Tiara, and Twist by Princess Twilight Sparkle. I think it turned out okay, but that's just me.

Arts & Crafts Corral / NPA: Pokemon/Super Sentai pun (featuring Greninja)
« on: September 14, 2015, 11:12:17 AM »
As some of you might know, Power Rangers is adapted from Japan's long-running Super Sentai series, starting with Kyoryu Sentai Zyuranger. Seasons 2 and 3 of the initial "Mighty Morphin" era did something a bit special: They used the giant robot footage and monsters from Gosei Sentai Dairanger and Ninja Sentai Kakuranger while sticking to the Zyuranger costumes (well, the Green Ranger was depowered when the shot-for-Power-Rangers "Zyu2" footage ran out and was switched to the white Dairanger suit). But those of you who remember all of Season 3 or have rewatched it recently enough might recognize the Kakuranger suits anyway, since they were used for the Alien Rangers from the planet Aquitar. With that nerdy wall of text out of the way, behold:

Dream Castle Turret Roof and Winch Bracket (not the winch itself, just the bracket) for sale. Turret roof has broken flag base in it. Both have a little dirt. $4 for each or $7 for both

A note to prospective buyers: It will likely take me a few days to get the items shipped if they are purchased. The reason for this is that your payment for the shipping costs is directly paying for the shipping costs, so unless paying for something as goods automatically creates a shipping label and deducts the cost of the shipping from the payment, I will have to wait for the payment to process on Paypal and then for the amount the shipping costs to transfer to my bank account.

Never mind, I can ship quickly.

Price Check Archives / Funko pricing question (repaired pony)
« on: September 08, 2015, 05:36:21 AM »
So, I want to sell my Funko Dr. Whooves. His tail was broken when I opened his box, so I had to glue it back on, but he's otherwise fine:

Given that I've normally seen him going for $12, I was thinking $10 would be a fair price, but I have very little experience as a seller so I wanted to make sure.

Got it for $20 shipped. Missing most of the accessories, but the fence and the counter are there.

Hollywood enjoying a soak in the hot tub while having her picture taken (And by a camera who is himself/themselves a rare treasure). But that's not the main highlight.

Here are Pink Dreams, Yum Yum, and Wind Whistler (who certainly seems to be rare on the secondary market) having a slumber party.
