Oh man, guys. I finally managed to get a copy of the book "Rainbow Rider's Birthday Adventure". It is all the cracktastic crack I have come to expect from UK MLP comics, paired with THE WORST PONY ART I HAVE EVER SEEN. The result? Hilarity!I'm going to gradually scan it in and post it here! (Also on my Tumblr.) Let's start with the cover and the first interior page . . . visitors can't see pics , please register or login visitors can't see pics , please register or login

What's the line right after Applejack says "Applesauce, anyone?" (Around the 1:35 mark.) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QP_rIAkb_v8Sounds like the first phrase might be "Sunny and pleasant"? The end rhyme in the next phrase might be "present"?

Okay, this isn't recent news. It happened in 2008. Still, I find it interesting as I didn't know this before! It looks like the rights went like so: 199? to 2005 - Rhino - License expired in 2005, after which the license went to . . . 2005 - 2007 - SonyWonder, which closed in 2007, after which the license went to . . . 2007 - 2008 - TV Loonland (um, nice name.) In 2008 Hasbro released a press release declaring it had "reacquired the worldwide distribution rights to the Sunbow Library of Hasbro Classics", including Taken from: http://www.tvshowsondvd.com/news/Transformers-Hasbro-Reacquires-Rights/9624#ixzz212cdBgPABoth TV-Loonland and Hasbro have issued press releases today about this transaction. TV-Loonland's notice, posted first below, states that they will receive $7 Million US Dollars in this transaction, and Hasbro's statement notes that they in turn get "ownership of nearly 1,000 episodes of classic programming." Properties named on both include Transformers, G.I. Joe and My Little Pony.
I think we should start trying to get Hasbro to release COMPLETE versions of Rescue at Midnight Castle and Escape from Catrina on DVD. They are in the "Complete First Season" that Rhino put out, but they have each had a song cut out of them.

Sooo my understanding is that it's tricky to run a raffle using PayPal. Does anyone have any advice? I'm planning to raffle off Ditzy Doo the Muffin Queen. (Please don't PM me about it yet, though.)
I was thinking--what if I "sold" a little pony jpg or something, and people were enrolled for a "chance at a free gift" (Ditzy) for buying the adoptable . . . would that work? Will PayPal be tipped off if anyone uses the word "raffle" or anything like that?
[moving to TS ~ good luck with the raffle! ~ hathorcat]

Wow, this is super-cute! What a nice way for Hasbro to celebrate all the runners-up of the character design contest, not just the winner! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginDidn't someone on the Arena have a friend who submitted the pretty Egyptian style pony? (They even put furry hooves on the little baby pony like she had in the design--nice touch!)

Hey guys, like I posted in the Corral, I am planning to get a couple backpacks to donate to low-income kids and want to make them MLP themed. I'd like to sneak a pony or two into each backpack as an extra surprise! So if you have an extra Rainbow Dash, Fluttershy, Twilight Sparkle, etc, who you got with a playset or something, I would love to have them! I am looking for brushables (small, not Fashion Styling), loose but in nice condition. (Can have factory flaws, but no haircuts, etc). Also they have to be less than $5 per pony, including shipping, because otherwise it’s cheaper for me to just buy one new, y’know? Oh, any of the Cutie Mark Crusaders are fine too.

My office is having a "backpack drive" where people buy a backpack plus school supplies to provide to low-income kids. Since they specifically mentioned they are usually short on little girl backpacks, of course my mind immediately went to MLP. Anyone seen any cute FIM backpacks out there yet, and if so at which stores? (I am in the US, BTW.)

What would you change about a MLP show (any generation) if you could change one thing?
MLP & Friends - I would snap my fingers and magically change all the animation to "Rescue at Midnight Castle" style animation. (If I could change TWO things, I would get rid of the incidental music--not the songs, but that random background music that was always the same.)
MLP Tales - I would make some of the main characters pegasi and unicorns. Even if there wasn't any magic in the show, I still want to see pegasi and unicorns, darn it!
G3 - I would give them villains.
G4 - I'd change Pinkie Pie back to being Surprise. I just love Surprise.

Breyer600 sent me the sound file quite a while ago, but I only just got around to adding pictures and putting it on Youtube. It's a really fun story and honestly quite creepy in spots. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aQkZ_8UVXSA

I also mentioned this in the Rump Ice Cream thread, but I wanted to post it here for people who weren't following that . . . I started a Tumblr called Heck Yeah, Pony Scans! to share the scans of pony stuff I have, mainly G1 comic books at the moment! I love the old comics, they are truly my favorite pieces of pony-related merchandise because they're so creative, funny, and random . . . and often quite adventuresome too! So please take a look and most importantly, enjoy! I have just started posting scans of the Red Cloud story . . .

Hey guys, I need some advice! I’ve been thinking for a while now about adding a third kitty to my home, but I don’t know whether to get a girl kitty or another boy. I currently have two neutered male cats who are about seven years old. They were raised together and get along wonderfully. They are also both very attention-loving and kind of goofy. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI’d like to hear your observations about female and male cats you’ve had! Also, have you had any issues between the genders when your cats hit puberty? My male cats have never sprayed and I would like to keep it that way! The kitten I adopt will be neutered/spayed at an early age no matter what. I’m not adopting an older cat because I know from past experience that my current cats get VERY upset about full grown cats on "their turf", but they like kittens—I once found litter of kittens abandoned in a restroom of a public park and had to keep them about a week until I could find a rescue group to take them, and my boys absolutely loved them. They would groom them and try to get the kittens to chase them. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI feel kind of bad because I know it’s harder for older cats to get adopted, but I do want my new pet to be able to integrate as smoothly as possible!
