So my friend is in Paris at the moment and she found a vintage toy shop called Lu Lu Berlu. Apparently there were LOADS of vintage MLP for sale as well as other vintage toys such as Care Bears and Jem Dolls. It sounds like heaven. Check out the website: https://www.lulu-berlu.comIf you search for My Little Pony, tons of MOC ponies turn up although not all of them are for sale. Some are a little over priced but most seem reasonable enough. Has anyone been in this shop in Paris before? I think it’s definitely worth checking out for anyone near Paris! Also my friend said she bought a pony from there for me...I can’t wait to see which one it is!

I have a Princess Tiffany that I need to whiten, but I wanted to check whether Princess Ponies can go in peroxide baths? Most of the iridescent coating her come off her symbol anyway, but I don’t want it to take the silver off too. Has any one tried this before?

I have a LL with a severe haircut who I would like to rehair with long, straight hair in the original colour.
Any idea what hair is a match for her? Lucky Clover looks pretty close but that's Medley's colour and I don't think LL has the same hair colour?
Thanks in advance!

So I was thinking back to when I first started collecting as an adult (well, teenager) and who was the first pony I bought.
I got into collecting because I found out that my Mum had taken my ponies to a car boot sale when I was about 13 and sold them all! I was so upset. I had some ponies that are now very sought after - Nurse Tenderheart with hat, Glow n Shows etc but I didn’t know this at the time obviously! So the first thing I did was go on eBay and try to search for them to try and buy some of them back.
This led me down a deep pony internet wormhole where I ended up here and addicted to searching eBay to replace my long lost ponies!
The first pony I bought from eBay as an adult was Cherries Jubilee! I saw her and remember thinking she was just soooo pretty and I had to have her. She wasn’t even a pony I had as a kid, but for a long time she was one of my favourites and I ended up buying many more ponies from eBay with money from my part time job after that.
The irony is, now I don’t really like poor Cherries Jubilee at all! I don’t have her in my collection any more, but she was the pony that got me into collecting as an adult so I do have a bit of a soft spot for her!
What was the first pony you bought as a ‘grown up’? And why?

I’ve just stumbled across a giant sweetie pup in a store in my home town that sometimes has vintage toys for sale (like a shy pose Applejack for £15, is she drunk?!). The tag says ‘Very Rare!!!’, so it’s probably ridiculously overpriced but I couldn’t read a price on the label. The owner does know a bit about vintage toys, or at least does her research, but most of the toys are very over priced.
I have never seen a giant sweetie pup before though. Are they rare? I want to try and get a photo but the cabinet is really near the cashiers desk and the owner isn’t exactly friendly so will probably take offence!

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSo I'm not really into Nirvana ponies but I've admire Dutch Butterfly from afar for a while...I was never actively searching for her but when one came up, I couldn't say no. I mean, just look at her! And that hair... Safe to say she's one of my new favourites, and I think I might just have to get some more Dutch ponies to keep her company

I've searched everywhere but can't find a definitive answer for this one.
Has anyone found an exact match for Dutch Butterfly's hair? There are several on Dollyhair that look close, but without having hair and a pony to compare I can't be sure.
Thanks in advance!

I bought a baity Princess Tiffany that I was planning to restore. It's been many years since I've rehaired a pony and My Little Customs are either not trading any more, or are slow at updating their website as everything is out of stock. Is there another UK supplier of nylon hair? Or does anyone on here have a hank of Virgin Snow they'd be willing to sell? Mininum order for Dollyhair for UK customers is $9 and there's nothing else I need!

So in 4 weeks I am going back to California where I married my lovely wife last year. I can’t wait We are going back with our two best friends for our anniversary. We spent 3 weeks road tripping in northern California last year, and this year we are also doing a week in Florida after we leave CA. We are spending 2 weeks driving from Santa Barbara/Santa Ynez to LA, stopping off at Palm Springs, La Jolla and finally San Diego before catching a flight to Florida where we are planning to drive from Miami to Key West, then Naples (?) and then Crystal River before flying home from Orlando. If there are any CA/FL locals here, or anyone who has traveled to these areas before I’d be very grateful of any tips, hidden gems or cool places to visit. Also places not to visit. We aren’t into theme parks so we’re not doing the whole Disney/Universal thing (and don’t even mention Seaworld just...noooo). I had planned to go kayaking in Florida but after seeing on the news about that poor lady who was eaten by an alligator I’m seriously reevaluating my plans... Please let me know if you have any cool/fun/weird suggestions of things to do!

I took the time today to give my ponies some TLC - even though they are in cabinets they seem to collect a lot of dust so I rearranged some sets, gave them all a wipe and also put some new ponies on display. I've been collecting for about 15 years (god I feel old now!) but I downsized my collection considerably following a change in my circumstances. This meant I sold all of my playsets (RIP mint complete Dream Castle and Nursery) and some more common ponies. I held onto the rarer or mint ponies that I knew I would struggle to get again. I am SO glad I didn't sell everything - in a way it has been a good thing as I now concentrate on just finding the ponies I like the best or completing sets rather than 'catching em all'. I also like to find ponies in the mintest condition possible which is in itself a fun challenge. So anyway here are my ponies and new acquisitions from the past few months Pony cabinet 1: visitors can't see pics , please register or login This shelf is a mix of childhood ponies and mint pink haired ponies that need to hide from the sun: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginMy favourite set, Glow n Shows: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAll I am missing is Blue Heart Dazzleglow but she's proving elusive! My aim is to eventually get the flocked and deflocked versions of all of the ponies. Hope you enjoyed the photos. I think it'll take me years to actually get everything on my list ticked off but I'm in no rush!

So my wife was asking me questions about ponies the other day - the usual questions like who is most expensive, which ones do you need to get next etc. I was showing her pictures and explaining why they were so expensive, mostly to justify me spending more of our hard-earned money on them...but anyway... ...This led to the discovery of the most amazing game to play with non pony people. It's called Honest Pony NamesTMYou basically show a non-collector photos of ponies, and they name the pony. The results are hilarious, and sometimes very sweet.
