Pony Corral / Names that don't (seem to) match symbols

The thread about not "seeing" symbols sent my brain in this direction, but I think it would derail the other too much so it needs its own thread.
Do you ever scratch your head wondering how they came up with a symbol and then named the pony something that seems totally not in synch, *or*, in the opposite direction, why they *didn't* name it something in particular?
It's a mystery (to me, anyway), why a green pony with shamrocks isn't called something shamrocky or St Paddy's Day-ish. Lotsa Luck or Lucky or... you know, even "Clover" (since those names came later anyway, she could have claimed them, right?). I get the "Minty" part (the green...) and actually like it a lot, but... well (as far as my brain goes) the G3's fixed that problem by giving her *mint candies* for a symbol

, but I often wonder what the idea room sounded like when they were brainstorming a name for the green pony with shamrocks....

Oh, EDIT: and since then, I miss having a green pony with shamrocks... whatever her name might be...

I'd like to have all the accessories from the G4 mane six (AJ,RBD, Twilight SParkle, P Pie, Fluttershy and Rarity) in the set that came with luggage. I purchased Diamond Dreams and Cherry Pie, thinking I wouldn't bother with the others (less is more... something like that), but discovered that I really really like the little luggage accessories. Does anyone have them who'd be willing to sell them for $1.00 plus shipping for each set of accessories, or trade for something in my sales/trade thread? (URL in sig). Would prefer to get them all from one person, to save on shipping, but if I need to split them up between, say, two sellers, that'd be okay too.

Pony Corral / Wave 3 blind bag trading cards... anyone notice this?

Hey, I just received my first two Wave 3 blind bag ponies, Sea Swirl and glowy Rarity (via a trade with the wonderful tinrobo

), and noticed something on Rarity's trading card. Well, first, let me say, I'm disappointed in these trading cards in that they don't have a big color image of the pony on the "front" the way Waves 1 and 2 do and instead have a pic of 6 of the ponies from this wave. Each of the cards has a different six pictured. It looks like the package insert from the first two waves, the advertisement showing all of the ponies in the set. But on the reverse side with the description, there's a "portrait", and in the upper right corner there's an image of the cutie mark.On Sea Swirl's card, the correct CM is there. On Rarity's... welp, it sure as shootin looks more like Twilight Sparkle's mark! Is this an oddity, or is this an error-- and if so, is it an unusal or a common error?

Pony Corral / Who was selling G2 eye gem replacement crystals? OR... info needed

A while ago (probably over a year) I purchased some swarovski (sp?) crystals that were sized to use as a replacement for missing G2 eye gems. I can't remember who that was (thought I did, though, and PMd the wrong person LOL

). I need more, so can someone tell me where I can purchase a small amount of them, or maybe someone knows who it was that was selling them. I only need *one* and she sold them in pairs (or at least smaller multiples of two than you have to purchase from Fire Mountain). Plus, she had the right colors.

Barring that, if I have to go ahead and purchase a bigger lot from Fire Mountain (or whereever else), does anyone know what size crystal to use to fit the G2s, and which colors are the best matches for the G2s in general? (I need a very light green for either Drifter or Dreamer, but if I can purchase a combination of colors, I want to get those that match G2s--then maybe I can be the new Gem Lady if she's--whoever she may be!-- no longer selling them. Heh)
