Off Topic / Windows 7 Spider Solitaire (4 Suits) Winnable or Not?
« on: July 21, 2017, 04:51:53 PM »
I've been playing Windows 7's version of Spider Solitaire and have beat 1 and 2 suits but have not won 4 suits, even after 1000+ games and even changing how I play. I don't want to think it's not winnable but given such a high number of games played without a win, one can't help but wonder. Has anyone had success winning the game with 4-suits (ie 2 decks of cards)?

Off Topic / Another Reason I Love Cats
« on: May 19, 2017, 11:24:11 AM »
So there was a hornet in my house recently and having been stung by one, I know they're not something to mess around with (though given their size, they're kinda scary as it is). Fast forward to today, apparently the hornet had gotten weak enough that my cats were able to finish it off.  Who would've thought cats could turn one of the more aggressive insects into a mere play thing? So I guess just having a little patience and a cat can take out a hornet without using anything special :D

It just boggles my mind how Hasbro can be so good at animation with the G3 movies but when it came to the Newborn Cuties shorts, they didn't even get lip movement for one of the shorts. How did that get accepted for release? It's like they weren't even trying.

Pony Corral / G1 MLP Lyrics Solved
« on: April 13, 2017, 07:15:13 PM »
In the G1 pilot Rescue from Midnight Castle, there are lyrics in the song that it seems were very difficult to decipher. However, the video below is in much better quality and after playing it at half the speed with YouTube's closed captioning, I've deciphered the lyrics as "Sunny and pleasant, and for the present". Plus when you place with the lyrics that follow "No sign of trouble in sight", it fits perfectly as the previously unclear lyrics before it are describing the current state of their world. I think it was the way "present" was being sung that made it hard to believe that it was the word being sung.

Guess that means these lyrics can be finally put into place wherever they were left out.

For those unaware, there was a G3 MLP movie advertised for Fall 2003 to be in theaters (and there's indications it was to be live-action and cartoon)

So given this info, how do you think this movie would've played out? Perhaps a villain would've shown up?

Pretty funny stuff and there's more in this guy's channel. This is probably my favorite though.

Spooky set of coincidences here. I'm not a believer in superstitions or whatnot but crazy that this actually happened. It sounded like a joke to me when I first heard about it.

Pony Corral / Game: MLP Misheard Lyrics
« on: October 06, 2016, 11:34:38 AM »
I'm sure we've all misheard what the lyrics of songs are and thus unwittingly changed how the song was meant to be. This is a game where you find MLP song lyrics but change them based on how they could be heard. Also include what the song is and what the lyrics should be.  :)
Example: The Rainbow Song
Misheard: Ink. The sunrise is ink, and so is a roast.
Should be: Pink. The sunrise is pink, and so is a rose.

I'll start from the same song:
Misheard: Blue. The ocean is blue. This guy is Bluetooth
Should be: Blue. The ocean is blue. The sky is blue too

Off Topic / I think my dad's car radio was watching us
« on: October 01, 2016, 11:53:14 AM »
Ever have it where you're doing something and the radio plays a song that directly seems to fit with what you're doing? While outside loading old TVs and computers (the bulky kind that are very boxy and really not ones you see anymore) into my dad's car, my dad's car radio happened to be playing Another One Bites the Dust, which fit with the fact that these were pretty well dead computers and TVs. Once we got back from the fire house training facility thingy (where they accept unwanted things like this), the radio was playing Burning Down the House, which was even more fitting. I rarely expect a radio station to play one song that relates to what I'm doing, let alone two.

Trader & Shipping Support / Buy with Caution

easyshop2008 on eBay has some pretty negative feedback regarding not sending items and/or lying about the condition of the item. They have some MLP items in their store, which is why I put the thread here. Granted it's not all negative or neutral feedback but someone to watch out for. Another thing to note is that in the negative feedback, the seller responds with only positive comments, as if they've been praised.
