I’ve been thinking. With a lot of g5 talk taking place, what will the future look like for the trademark flank tattoos on our beloved ponies? What sort of name do you see Hasbro giving them in g5? Markings? Symbols? Perhaps they will keep being called cutie marks, as g3 and g4 did? What do each of you think lies in store for these butt designs?

This has been something that I have pondered for a while- every generation thus far has had a name tagged to it, except for g2 because it never received an animation, and g3 not having one just seems a bit odd to me. Or maybe I’m just not aware that it does have one?
For example:
G1- My Little Pony/ MLP & Friends/ My Little Pony Tales
G2- none
G3- My Little Pony
G4- MLP Friendship is Magic/ Pony Life
What additional titles would you give to gen 2 and gen 3 to allow them their own identifying names?

I have long been enamored with these cute little beans. And while they have a few character blurbs that hint at their personality and world, I have often continued to wondered about and it’s lore and nature of their world that isn’t offered in product packaging. Why are they all earth ponies? Why do they lack symbols/ cutie marks? What significance does that Lily of the Valley flower on their packaging have?
For a while, I have begun seen the Takara ponies as sort of living in a real paradise, having to care for the earth and nature while the ponies who have symbols and flaunt their powers were far removed and seeking out their own paradise estate and have become nomads- sort of like a garden of Eden type situation, I suppose. And The Lily of the valley flower that is seen featured with the Takaras, I have felt is a reminder from the marked ponies to return to their roots and be earth caretakers with them, finding the happiness they seek out.
I definitely want to learn more about the Takara ponies, and I wonder what you guys think of their canon characters and lore (with what little I do we are provided through translations of product packaging). What sort of lore and characters would you give the Takaras? Would you adapt what has already been provided, or create your own?

It has just been revealed that Pony Life will get a second season in Spring 2021, before g5 is set to take the stage in 2022. Now, I like pony as much as the next person (though PL isn’t really my slice of cake)... but Here’s the problem with a instant stream of pony- even if it is just filler like PL is...we don’t get a break from ponies, ever. A hiatus in the toyline and the series is DESPERATELY needed to make us MISS ponies and want them back in a new generation, rather than h omg a never ending stream of pony everything that only serves to overwhelm and turn people off from the brand.
What do each of you guys think? Should Hasbro allow the brand to disappear for a while and start letting us miss it, before bringing in a new gen, or just keep pumping out pony and possibly allowing for fatigue?

I went thrifting for craft supplies (G4’s) to turn into customs, yesterday. Made a beeline for the toy aisle, and what is the first thing that I find? Fracking G1 Sunbeam! The original one from the 80’s! Holy cow! And THEN I discover an original Applejack! (I also found a double of G4 Honey Rays, who is a non mane 6, so worthy of keeping, even as a double, and Fluttershy, who I’ll definitely be using for another custom) surprisingly, their hair wasn’t bad at all. Still curly and silky. I bought something from someone in Australia and now they’re asking me for additional info that I either already provided on the shopping service and additional info like my phone # and email to fill out custom papers to ship my package? Is anything other than my address needed so ship packages out from Australia?

(Just want to make this clear. I do not condone torturing my or anyone else’s ponies in a fiery hell)
I feel like the answer is obvious, but I watched a pony crafter who goes by the name of Midnight Rarity just pop a g4 plastic pony in the oven to bake their custom clay mane, and I’m just curious if I could do the same and not melt the pony on even the lowest setting in a convection oven (I think MR had theirs at low 200’s?)
Can baking a pony survive? Anyone know what the melting point is for G4’s?

Name: Bonanza Split Nicknames: Bonnie, Bonbon, Brownie About: Bonanza is the unofficial mascot pony of all “My Little Pony” anniversary celebrations! She is a registered event organizer and is always organized. Her cutie mark is three scoops of Neapolitan ice cream atop two bananas, making a delectable and delicious banana split! No one makes them as yummy as Bonanza does! Quote: “You bet your Bundt cake that this’ll be an event to remember!” Notes: I wanted to inspire Bonanza off of MLP’s pink and purple logos throughout the years, but I wasn’t quite feeling it, so I made that the color scheme of her eyes, instead. And I made her body white like the typically white colored font used by the franchise. I had decided on her name long before her design, oddly enough, and just knew that I wanted her to be an unofficial mascot pony to future MLP franchise anniversaries. I chose to make her color scheme reflect her name, instead- that being the Neapolitan Ice cream and bananas that make up a banana split, which ultimately I felt worked much better for her. I incorporated the MLP traditional pink and purples in the heart motifs that pay tribute to gen 3’s logo, on her cheeks. A bit of Japanese Decora style fashion bled through her design as I worked on her. There’s always room for dessert! She also snuck some circus cookies earlier today. What a greedy little pixie. I have always had a massive sweet tooth. One of the cookies that I have liked fondly for many years is circus cookies. Sweet little morsels tipped with candy colored frosting and crunchy “confetti” beads. They’re delicious and I don’t see much talk of this cookie whenever favorite cookies are discussed. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBack in 2016, a book was released called “MLP the Dragons of Dazzle Island”, which featured Spike and Fluttershy going off to an island to gather gems for Rarity, but getting interrupted by the Dragon Migration and spawning season that’s taking place there. This story introduced a pony named Ruby Redheart, who is a dragon observer and expert dragon egg-hatcher (as she got her cutie mark in doing so). I think this is the one pony in all of Equestria who might’ve be able to assist Spike with his biological heritage, and it’d would’ve been great to see reference and cameo given to her in the g4 episodes, possibly allowing fans of the series to also get to discover the reasons why Celestia had Spike's egg in the first place, and even if Holder's Boulder is more than meets the eye. Even though it's a fossilized dragon egg, Ruby's powers might’ve still be able to make it hatch. There could’ve been a lot of potential for Spike episodes with this pony around. Shamefully, of course, this cute pony never even got a place in the toyline- neither brushable nor blind bag. Her only appearance was in this one pony book. Truly a disappointment. I fell in love when I came across her, then kind of forgot about her for a few years, and was o my recently reminded of her. She’s still as cute and lovely to me, though. Let’s talk about this pony!

Ever since the adorable little bean, Star Dancer, from the “A Day in the Life of Equestria” manga has her colors revealed by the manga’s official artist, I have been enamored with her! It took a while to find an earth pony that I could use for customizing, but I found a duplicate Cherry Berry who volunteered herself up for the cause! Due to her pearly finish, Cherry had to take so many coats of yellow to even begin transforming into Star Dancer. And by the time I was finished, I really didn’t intend to add anything else, but spontaneously decided to make her cheeks blushy like her picture. I may have also thrown some peachy pink shading on her nose, ears and legs....getting carried away.  Her hair was made out of yarn and I love how it turned out. Has anyone ever felt like they’re alone in liking a certain pony or line of ponies that others don’t? Maybe the pony or line is super obscure or under appreciated by pony fans and pony collectors. Or whatever reason. At times, I feel like I’m pretty much the only one who obsessed and adores the g1 Takara line, but I’m constantly proving myself wrong and snapping myself out of that mindset when I find that there ARE others out there that love these little pony beans enough to also be making fan art and crafts of them, like me! Recently, I find a post about them made by some guy called Ponitacupcake on LiveJournal (idk who they are, but I was overwhelmed with pride and support) made me realize that I’m not the only one who wants them rebooted (and felt the Transformers x FiM crossover was a squandered opportunity When there is another pony line far more fitting. https://vintage-ads.livejournal.com/6331370.html?embedHave you guys ever felt lonely at some point, in liking a pony or pony line?
