Arts & Crafts Corral / Gen 2 Pony Art! - Ivy Sprite now up!
« on: February 15, 2014, 09:25:44 AM »
I love G2's designs so I thought I would try some pony sketches! They're only in B/W for now and I have a fourth page in progress. I have begun to colour them with pencils and i'm doing a sprite of Ivy based on her sketch, but my scanner is unavaliable to get the coloured ones up.

I might even turn Ivy into an adoptable if her sprite turns out well!

Update! I finally did Ivy's sprite. I'm not happy with the shading but I've not done spriting in a very long time.

Introductions / Hello everyone! =3
« on: February 13, 2014, 01:43:52 PM »
Hello! I'm Eleanor but I go by a variety of names around the web, including but not limited to: Stars, From Beyond the Stars, Vive/vivalagiygas and Abyssal Dreamer. Just call me Stars if you like  :silly:
I'm an 18 year old girl from England and I'm currently studying English Literature, History and Fine Art. My other hobbies include video games, drawing and painting.

My first ever game was actually My Little Pony: Friendship Gardens CD ROM at age 4-5. I loved it to pieces and my very first email address that I still use today was nellie_sweetberry in honour of Sweet Berry, who was my favourite pony in the game. I still have my copy on my wall even though it doesn't install anymore. As a child I distinctly remember having the Canopy Bed playset with Light Heart and I once had a G3 Rainbow Dash, but where these ponies went between moving houses and such I do not know.

For my 18th birthday I was bought a Sweet Berry as a joke gift, but I really loved her. She was in beautiful condition (a few highlighter marks but I'm determined to get them off!) so I decided to google and try and find out more about her. I discovered she was the Basket Surprise Sweet Berry and I decided after reading through Dream Valley and MLP Preservation that I wanted to restore Generation 2 ponies. Not only are they the generation I originally fell in love with but I love their designs and I think they have less popularity than G1 and G3/G4. They're also cheaper to get hold of than G1!

I currently have alongside Sweet Berry a Magic Motion Ivy and the Secret Surprise Morning Glory with her backpack! They all came to me in lovely condition so all they needed was a hairwash and condition. I've got nine 'bait' ponies on their way to me to restore, but to be honest their only issues seem to be missing eye gems, a bit grubby and a hair trim here and there, which is easily fixable.
Here's a bad picture of my three girls, I'm lacking good lighting and a good camera XD i've also tied Morning Glory's backpack ribbons into her tail but you can't see it.

Sorry for rambling! I hope I haven't bored you XD
