As part of their reorganization plan following chapter 11 bankruptcy, Toys R Us has announced they will be closing 182 stores across the US. Going out of business sales will start in February and end in April. While it's a shame, it's not surprising. Toys R Us stores and outlets have been declining for some time and their product prices tend to be quite inflated. Maybe if you're near one of the closing stores you can get some good deals! Wall Street Journal has confirmed they will be closing almost all, if not all, of its stores in the US and UK.

So I came across this on a Jurassic Park merchandise blog  Now, before you freak out (but we got a line a few months ago???), this is just ONE pony toy, not a full line. Throughout December, Mcdonalds will be offering a "Holiday Express" toy line. As the name implies, this is a train set! Each piece of the train is a popular toy line or animated film such as barbie, transformers, hot wheels, and despicable me. My Little Pony is included, with Rainbow Dash getting her own railcard. I've been meaning to show her off here for awhile now, preferably with a proper photoshoot, but I don't have the time to take some nice pictures of her. Layla is a Fairyland Fantasy Art Hippogriff, and a wonderful present from my best friend. She did her faceup and everything! You can see she has a wonderful watercolor like effect with pinks, purples, greens, and gold on a white base. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginShe also has a more "lion" like tail, a second head, and some fluff to replace her wings. Her eyes are pink and blue, but I accidentally let my putty dry out, so I'll need to buy more before I can get her other head set up  Hope you all like her! She's very special to me.

We found out some interesting and confirmed information regarding Scootaloo recently. Haven't heard it? Well, that's because it wasn't in the show, but one of the chapter books! "But the books aren't canon!!" Eh, to each their own, but a show writer confirmed it and the show has been tying in more and more to the published media  We now know that Scootloo is not an orphan like the popular fan theory suggests. Her parents just don't seem to be around much, poor Scoots  So who's raising her while they are away? Her aunts! Yes, aunts plural.  I think this is really exciting news, as we're finally seeing an LGBT+ couple in the extended MLP universe. It's understandable that they would sneak this into a book instead of the show, because it's a bit easier to sneak under the radar. Here are pages from the book, "Ponyville Mysteries: Riddle of the Rusty Horseshoe" Please note that due to the history of previous threads on the extended MLP universe and LGTB+ characters in the show, this thread will be carefully watched. This most recent episode is a Cutie Mark Crusaders one!
In a continued effort to help blank flank ponies get their cutie marks, the CMC open their very own day camp! Unfortunately trouble begins to stir when young Rumble makes a scene, declaring blank flanks are better because once you find your cutie mark, you'll be trapped doing what it represents forever! While obviously untrue, he easily convinces the others to join his cause, and the CMC must figure out why Rumble has such strong feelings with the help of Rumble's older brother - Thunderlane.
Not a bad episode for the CMC! I usually don't like episodes centered on their activities. Rumble's song was also pretty fun, props to Ingram for producing another great piece for the show.

I'm so distracted with the upcoming film I haven't been keeping up with episodes! Whoopsie  Wow, we see Zecora twice in a row! That's pretty awesome, I love getting to see her. In this episode, Zecora falls ill after being sprayed by pollen from a strange flower. The sickness would eventually turn her into a tree, and there is no known cure. Fluttershy seeks the help of Twilight to find some kind of cure and Fluttershy stays up incredibly late looking for a cure to help her friend. They realize the "mystical mask", a legendary cure, is actually the pony Mage Meadowbrook. Together with the help of Meadowbrook's ancestor, they get to work finding the cure. Some interesting points about this episode: - This episode also ties in with the Legends of Equestria comic series by IDW! - This is the second time the name "Mage Meadowbrook" has been nused in the show. The first time was S5 E2, where twilight claims it to be the name of a magical eastern unicorn. This is a big continuity error in the show. What are your thoughts? For me this wasn't super memorable, but I appreciate the continued comic tie-ins.

With the removal of the FIM forum, it's time to move our weekly episode discussion here to the corral! Expect them every Saturday  (Please forgive my lateness on this one!) This episode is a Rarity-centric one! After getting her hair messed up by Pinkie's super sticky party string - a day before a photoshoot no less - Rarity and Pinkie go to Zecora to find a solvent to remove the string. But - it removes Rarity's hair instead. Eek! It's up to the rest of the mane six to help Rarity see that there's more to her than just her looks. This wasn't a bad episode overall. We get to see a lot of Rarity's business savvy and there was even some callbacks to previous episodes! Specifically we see Granny Smith at the market selling alongside Grand Pear and Big Mac walking around with Sugarbelle. We also got to see the baby cakes and Zecora again. I love the punk style Rarity took at the end. I've seen lots of wonderful fan art of it. This reminds me of when I saw a user here at the arena make a punk custom of a baity G1 Glory they got  What are your thoughts?

*The movie is here! Please tread carefully if you are trying to avoid spoilers *Hey folks! Now that the FIM subforum is gone it's time to start our integration into the corral. I think the best way to start is with the MLP Movie, which is only a few weeks away!! Are you excited for the movie? Skeptical? Want to know what's going on but not sure if you'd like to go see it? Come share your thoughts! I've personally dug up everyyyy little bit of info I could on the film since the very start. Before the end of the FIM Forum, the enitre plot had practically been uncovered! I will be adding spoilers to this thread, but I'll be keeping everything under spoiler tags. If you plan to discuss movie spoilers, please also keep them under spoiler tags for those who aren't interested! Yes, you read that right, I'm not joking. I'm not 100% on if the name will be dropped in the film but I believe it's possible, this tidbit was found in one of the books.
As for her story, Tempest and her friends wanted to one day attend Celestia's school, the same one Twilight did. They were all promising students, but Tempest tripped running out of a cave trying to escape on of the Ursa's and tripped, breaking her horn. With a broken horn she couldn't perform magic properly anymore, it wasn't controlled well enough. As a result she couldn't join the school but her friends did without her. The scorn and betrayal are likely what turned her against Equestria. She sided with the Storm King under the belief that he would be able to fix her horn (this does not appear to ever happen).
The Seaponies Spoiler It's been hinted at for awhile, and with some toy reveals from Hascon and information from the movie site, we know for sure that the seaponies are not originally seaponies. These seaponies are actually Hippogriffs! According to the movie comics, the hippogriffs actually have their own continent. They were chased away when the Storm King came to take over, so Queen Novo hid herself and her citizens beneath the sea, safe from his influence. Celestia is the one who tells Twilight to find Queen Novo, but refers to her as "queen of the hippos". The Series of Events Spoiler Not 100% confirmed, but from one of the books it appears that the events go:
Canterlot Celebration -> Tempest's Attack and capture of Canterlot -> The mane six travel to "Klugetown", an area in Equestria's badlands. This is where we see the windmill scene -> The ponies meet Capper here, and Capper intends to sell them for a reward -> The ponies are on the pirate ship next (likely from capture by Capper and sold the the Captain) -> The ponies fall into the sea after the ship is harpooned -> The ponies are rescued by Queen Novo who uses her peal to turn them into sea ponies -> Twilight is captured by Tempest -> The rest of the ponies go to her rescue -> The storm king is defeated -> Happy Friendship Celebration!
tl;dr

As the wonderful TornadoTwist revealed on her MLP Merch site today, it appears we will be getting plushies of Songbird Serenade and Tempest Shadow at Build A Bear! According to her report the street date is August 31st! We will also be getting "mane 6 ponies with a slightly updated design and capes with a seapony tail style." There's not a ton of customization options, and it's a bit heavy on price, but if you (or your kiddos) want to be a pony, here's a fun chance. Also, it seems they have similar books for characters such as Batman, Superman, Wonderwoman, and the ever wonderful Rainbow Brite!

Hey guys! So, I recently moved and I've yet to bring my two BJDs over because I don't have anywhere to really put them? I'd like to install a shelf for them, but I want something big enough to be safe so they wont fall or break. Any recommendations? On another note: I also have to Drabbits, these are art dolls that you can puppet via a long wire that goes into your shirt (the doll rests on your shoulder). I also want to display them, but finding a way to do so with the wire is an issue! If you have any recs, I'd like to hear them as I have three of these guys
