Recently I was lucky enough to have friend in another state  start looking for ponies for me. While I do really appreciate that this person is willing to look for them, she doesn't really know what makes a G1MLP different from other gens or fakies. I gave her a little primer but if there is a guide up somewhere that I can email to her that has  pics and info on how to identify an original MLP from  g3s and fakies and such it would be great if someone could point me toward it.

Apparently my memory can't be arsed to remember which blind bags I have already bought so i have an extra Shoeshine & Minuette each with card and bag. I think I'd just like to trade them for other blind bags

Do you take your ponies out to dine with you? I do these days. Well, I take AJ anyway since she is so travel sized  She's very polite about dining out, though sometimes she stares a little too hard at my food. Haven't gotten any odd looks yet. Or perhaps I just haven't noticed them.

AJ goes with me to Johnny Carinos. We enjoy a yummy house salad with sun dried tomato vinegarette while waiting for a pizza.

is there any demand for styling G3s anymore?  I have 2 that I found at thrift stores and was wondering if they would be worth selling.

G4's: So over the last few months I think I've seen quite a number of people say they never saw this or that pony or set in their area.It's certainly the case here. I check at least 2 walmarts, a TRU and 1 Target regularly for pony stuff and there have been some ponies I have never seen in my area as well. Blind bag boxes too.My walmart had wave 1 box after box and then only 1 wave 3 box and no more last I checked.

I don't recall having such a problem with G3s. I bought nearly every G3 that came out for a while and I rarely  remember  pouting that  a store didn't have a set or that my Target never got any of the holiday sets.

I don't have the desire to buy every G4 like I did with G3s,but it certainly is frustrating to never get some ponies in your shopping area. I loath buying 2nd hand  due to the mark up. I have come to really like the blind bags but it's frickin hard to find them when only 2 stores out all the  places I check ever have them IF they have any in at all.

Did anyone , at least in the US, have problems getting a hold of single release ponies for G3 the way it's hard to get some single G4s? I get really frustrated with Hasbro about this. It seems like they should make the G4s more available and even out distribution especially since g4s have a show to help with their popularity and sales.

I have been to nearly all the stores in my immediate area that I know carry ponies and for the last 2 or 3 weeks there has been hardly anything IF anything at all in the way of single ponies. They've had some of the big headed newborns and  I've seen  big Cadance and some little playset, but no single ponies.  It's starting to aggravate me. I assumed Target was clearing out  for new wave of ponies, but it seems like it's been too long a stretch without any singles. Same situation when I went to visit a friend in a another city. The Targets and walmarts had zilch. Only 1 walmart that I've been to has had blind bags, and the latest box is long gone and hasn't been replaced yet. My Toys R Us always has a terrible  "selection" every tome I've gone to it over several months too.

Is this happening to  anyone else right now? I now Hasbro's distribution seems to suck, but  nearly a month with hardly ANY ponies around ? what the heck grrrr...
