A non pony related situation, but answers of course can apply to other transactions.
I recently spotted a doll on eBay I have really been wanting. The bid starts very low, but the item is local pick up. This is perhaps understandable, as she would be hard to ship, and I happen to be traveling to the area in about a week. I am worried about risks here, as there would be no proof of me receiving it or not receiving it, and the seller does not have feedback. What protection do I have here? If the seller flakes, will I be able to submit a case to ebay, and if so, will they really side with me?

Last night I had a weird and vivid dream where I came across a street full of garage sales, and one of them had all ponies. The weird part was they were a combination of G1 and G3, with wider legs and torsos, sqwishy plastic, G3 themes and colors, and G3 faces, though it didn't strike me as weird in the dream. I finally found a G3 winter baby (G1/G3 winter baby, I guess?) I have on my wish list for a low price, but alas, she was not with me when I awoke.
So my question is, have you ever experienced MLP dreams? What were yours like?

I had so much fun hosting the Literature and Lore Swap. I had Minty Socks for my own partner, and she had such great options! Jo from Little Women, Anne from Anne of Green Gables, and Luna from the Harry Potter series were three of the options, and all three of my top favorite literature characters and childhood influences! A new venture for me. Also, the description of "grey green eye" seemed so beautiful to me, and I loved mixing a color I thought was a good fit. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginShe has a copy of the First Edition of Anne of Green Gables (dang, girl, you may want to consider cashing that in) and also an open book with the poem "Highwayman" by Alfred Noyes. A movie series where she reads this poem really struck me when I was young, for some reason, so I wanted to give the poem to her. I also wanted to give her a stand with green and plants, as it is a beautiful theme in the series, and Minty Socks mentioned liking the setting. Why is this show not more popular! I just love it so much, and it's always hilarious to me. They have been doing a lot of new episodes lately, and it continues to stay amazing. Come talk to me about Star vs! Also, I know it's a children show, but I need a harem ending for Marco, or I will not be satisfied.

Anyone here planing on going to Anime Crossroads in Indianapolis? I'll be hosting a panel on MLP customization at 10am on Sunday, February the 26th, if you would like to come to learn and/or share information. It will be my first panel. Hopefully my experience in other presentations shows and everyone can have fun or learn something! If it is well received, I may do more of this presentation in the future.
In this panel, I will be presenting information on how to customize ponies! Information is tailored to fit an inexperienced or new-to- customizing audience, but after the presentation, there will be discussion where experienced members can provide advice or ask questions. The presentation will include links to other great resources (but if you're on the Arena, you may already be familiar with a lot of the links I will be showing). I will have materials and ponies on hand to enhance learning and ability to answer questions. I hope I will see you there!
Anything you would really want to see in a customization panel? Any advice on presenting you would like to share? I'm excited to present and hopefully make more pony friends!

I'm working on a fun custom, and I am needing to do a FBR in Mimic's color. But what color is she really? I don't have this lovely gal in my collection to compare, and pictures of her vary so much. So what do you think? Is she more of a lime or a pale yellow? What level of saturation or neon effect does she have? Anyone want to mail me a Mimic so I can be sure? Feel free to share your pictures or discuss! If you have her, do you have a standard of measurement (e.g. paint color or other item on the market) to compare her to?

This pony was created for a slightly belated private Christmas Swap. Have you ever come across a valuable pony that to the untrained eye looked worthless? Maybe a beauty who just needed to be uncovered or a pony so rare any condition is of value? I find that sort of thing rather interesting. When I first started collecting, I was shocked to see how much a Nirvana could be worth with missing characteristics, and as I've been adding to my herd and bait box, I have been surprised what a simple spa day can do for a pony. I am planning on making a presentation on customizing, and I would like to include some education on ethical baits, so if I could use your pic to demonstrate the need to think carefully before altering older ponies, let me know.

I like the Kurt Adler's Christmasy themes, but poor Applejack had tiny, wall eyed, and to far apart eyes. So I managed to get around fixing her! I removed the original eyes with nail polish remover, repaired the missing orange paint, and then gave her back her eyes that I know and love. Spoiler My sister has gotten found of customizing and has requested baits for Christmas. Anyone have a lot of baits they would like to get rid of? I would also be looking for other reasonably priced custom supplies like hair, but my budget is meant more for a beginner. I would need to secure something in the next two weeks, as our Christmas is actually taking place on the 18th, and I would like to have time to ship and prepare it as a gift. She is mostly interested in G4 but wants to expand and said any bait will work. Hit me up!  Found, thanks everyone!!

Happy Halloween! Here is my custom for the Halloween Swap! She was inspired by sugar skulls, Dia de los Muertos, and pictures of horse and pony skeletons. Her new owner, archidraca, reports she is named Skullita. This is probably my favorite one that I've done other than Abandoned Place. Here is my creation for dashesndots! Here's her list to get a peak at what I incorporated: 1.mini stars and/or hearts 2. candy/sweets3. tiny fruits, especially strawberries! 4. roses
5. faeries6. corsets/ribbons/bows 7. butterflies8. teddy bears / other cute animals She also mentioned thinking perfume puff hair seemed cute to her, so I had to try it! This is the first time I've done a perfume puff, and I really enjoyed it. She smells like strawberries! This is also the first time I felted something, and I certainly enjoyed that as well. I'm kind of getting into the idea of backcards a bit after the missing links swap. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI'm pretty happy with this one, but if I did her again, I would leave off the glitter spray, as the effect on the yarn makes her look a bit eternally dew soaked. Okami_Amaterasu asked for a Rockin Beats Pegasus, and I had to pick this interesting option! I also notice that all four in the original set had guitars, so I thought they could use a singer. I created a brush mic stand to match. In my research about the Rockin Beats, I learned that in the cartoon, they already had a signer, Melody, so I created a back card story to work her into the cannon. Before reading about Melody, I had wanted to give this on that name, but I think Harmonic might sound even better. Now, this pony actually gave me so much trouble, the neon paint just didn't act right! It was usual in its drying time, texture, flexibility, and thickness. I feel a little dissatisfied with the FBR, as it has some minor cracks and unevenness around the hair and eyes, but hopefully her hair and being on display helps hide the flaws. If I could go back in time, I would probably rehair her before the paint job and try to to less touching up in general. I feel like this pony just didn't want to be a custom, because I also had her hair holes split nearly half across on one side, requiring repair. Despite her issues, I hope you enjoy her. I did really like creating her cutie mark and story.
