Well like previous years there will be a mid season hiatus after the airing of ep. 13 on June 9th. Ans speaking of ep 13: It and the 3 remaining of this half were released early in Finland.  Pretty sure the ep's are available somewhere, but of course they won't be translated.

 There is one screenshot going around from one episode (Marks for Effort) that's worth sharing. Every time you think they can't give a pony a new facial expression, they do it:

Thanks to the laptop I got back in October being far stronger than my desktop, I finally got to download and play this MMORPG.
I've got 3 characters there: My ponysona Chrome Thunder (unicorn. They actually had a cutie mark like my pony has), Maverick (pegasus), and Ice Crystal (earth. Yes that Ice Crystal ). Pretty interesting game so far. Chrome is up to level 28 out of 50, mainly thanks to joining a group of other players last night and wasting dozens of monsters from hornets to pegasus rock golems in the Everfree forest (jumped about 11-14 levels in a couple hours). As I type this Ice Crystal is dancing with some other players in Sugarcube Corner (they have  Ponyville FM playing in it).

The fandom is in meltdown status right now. The larger pony sites have clamped down on it, but this stuff is floating around now so be careful when browsing.

I attended a new pony con in Kansas City (actually Overland Park) called CanterlotKC (rising from the ashes of Midwest Brony Fest). Being a first year con with no big guests (only ones were Thom Zahler of the comics and popular MLP reviewer/animation maker Ilovekimpossiblealot ), and being on the same weekend as the last Nightmare Nights Dallas, attendance was pretty light. It was still fun though (and the lighter attendance made it more personal and less hectic).
 I hammed it up with 4 cosplays over the 3 days including a new one I made for the cosplay contest: A combination Changeling/Team Fortress 2 spy. Didn't win anything though (there were only 6 people in it). The best event was the musical Tesla coil display (it almost didn't happen as it failed to work when they first set it up. It was tested and the problem was found so it was held after the cosplay contest).
 I took both of my R/C trucks loaded with plushies and was running them around the event:

Needless to say they were popular, but maybe the biggest fan was a 2 year old boy who was with his mom (grandma?) and was walking around the hotel (wasn't attending the con) when they saw my Celestia one (with my Cele plushie in the back).

 I was a sponsor so I got a t shirt, comic, poster, and some buttons as part of the deal. The Luna shirt glows under blacklight, the treasury edition of the comic is signed by Thom (an arc he did), and the paper pony (Raripunk) is from Miki Silence.

It looks like the con will be back next year.

I mentioned a while ago I was planning on making a Tempest Shadow brushable custom. I was going to use either a a Celestia or Cadance/Luna for a base. Instead of paying big bucks for brushables that are out of production for the most part I turned to China for my needs. I found both  a Cadance mold and a Celestia mold Luna. Wound up getting 1 and 2 of each respectively.

 Now that I have a Tempest brushable my custom plan is cancelled. I can still use them for others, but I don't think I can now because the Cele mold ones are beautiful:

Both have a single black streak in their tail. As for the MLP logos on the hooves, both just say "Pony":

So it looks like my Luna army has grown by 3. 

I picked up these G1's for $2 at a garage sale today. They had some dirt and stains on them (the SS is in great shape), but all of them have a strong musty odor, and one of the babies has tail rust. Is the tail ribbon original?

I cleaned them up with some cleaner for pet stains, but the smell is still there (I haven't washed the hair yet).

And the garage sale that has these was a half block from my house.

 While at work a few days ago, I got to thinking about the fanmade items in the fandom. At no point in the history of My Little Pony has there been so much fanmade stuff, of quality equal to, or even exceeding the quality of official merchandise. And I have to wonder: What value will it all have 20 or 30 years down the road when MLP is up to Gen. 6 or 7, and the G4 fanbase has moved on (or sadly passed on)?

 Look at all of the custom brushables, sculptures, and blind bags there are. And plushies. Oh man the plushies. I'm sure the amount of custom ones made is now in the 5 digit range, in sizes from tiny to life size, and from one offs to mass produced ones like White Dove's. Some OC characters even have mass produced plushies now like Snowdrop,  Fluffle Puff (Fluffle's creator sold over 160 of his plushies at Bronycon earler this year, plus many more before then), and Dustykatt's OC Overhaul *hugs his examples of the first 2*. And even the Onlyfactory bootlegs come into play.

 Then there's the  other items. Woodcrafts,  art, Silver Slinger's stuff, buttons, models of buildings, clothing, etc. etc.. And of course all of the one of a kind items made for convention charity auctions (including stuff I made) that have sold for hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

 Will any of this stuff still have value in the future generations? Could they wind up in the category of folk art antiques/collectibles like many handmade items from the early 1900's have become? Many of us won't be around long enough to find out, but it's something to think about.
