So who is partying with me today?  Well partying with me when I get back from work that is.

If so quick question - saw a bagful at our local thrift but am not familiar with em so did not pick em up.  Do they resell well?  Are folks looking for even common ones and any ID sites?  This is the first time we have really seem in one bag, we see once in a while in mixed bags, but first time just Zelfs.  I know Cleocat is sort after, heck the imp wants one if we find it (love all things Egyptian) but no clue on the rest of em.

To say it is has been a little chilly round these parts is an understatement.  So cold the Great South Bay of Long Island has frozen over, it is salt water.   Here are some fun photos and yes that is Clonecommander all bundled up walking on water.  Feel free to share your icy photos!

Oh and here are some from Mill Pond, Sayville, sadly Clone has not been able to do anymore work here for her Gold Award because of the cold and the snow cover on the area she was working on.  Hoping that by Spring break it melts so she can get done!

Pony Brag Arena / 2014 was a very good year (a bit pic heavy)
« on: February 18, 2015, 05:37:31 PM »
Okay so I used to be a brags mod so you would think I would be better at remembering to brag and or take pictures so I could brag, but yeah no!  I have to admit last year was a super year for us for finding things at the local thrift stores and well we have some high lights from many of our (and when I say our for new members I collect with my daughter Clonecommander) collections.  Missing are the tons of Legos we managed to score and all the odd extra MLP, MH, Clones or Breyers.  Just gonna hit the highlight reel!  LOL

First up, the child's, oh wait she is 18 so I guess young ladies MLP Baby Pony Grail Baby Squirmy!   Sadly in need of tail (nudge, hint) but other wise a super little guy she has always wanted.  Found hiding in the middle of a bag of G1's.  Oh and some of her buddies from that bag that we did not have.

Now this gal is not one I ever thought I would find, and while she needs some love for her hair, she is still a super find for us and a must have for our MLP collection!  Funny thing is I was just thinking about My Pretty Pony a few days before we found her.  I was walking around with her tucked very securely under my arm the whole time we where in the store.

Okay in the Breyer area besides scoring like crazy at Fest we have found tons of stuff last year - lots of it bodies, but some of it awesome.  Like this fellow who is one of the best, and one of my favorite models in one of my favorite finishes, Glossy to the max!

And for the MH collection - well before my daughter admitted she liked them I had found a Holt Hyde sig doll and sold it on ebay.  Well fast forward two years and look who we found - another Holt Hyde and this time he got wrapped up and give to her for the holidays.  Also with him is a sig Duce and she just fell in love with Lagonna so she got hang out too!  Kind of a grail of hers to get another.  And now I do not feel bad about selling that first one.

And that is just the tip of what we scored last year.  I wonder what this year shall hold for us?

Off Topic / T-Shirt Fund raiser question
« on: January 17, 2015, 06:51:47 AM »
Okay where or who on the web would you use if you wanted to create t-shirts to make money for your organization?

The original plan was for our Robotics team to make the shirts but the captain of the team feels doing it online would be better since folks can chose their sizes.

I think doing it ourselves might net a higher profit margin (since I would be donating screen and inks and the girls supplying the labor) our only cost would be the shirts.  So I need to see how much you actually get from an online place but have no clue where to look and who does what online.

Need some help with an ID - apologies for some of the picture quality, the first day we saw this duck I had forgotten to put my daughters card back in her camera so shot on memory and since it was almost full the camera automatically lowered the settings.  The second day we saw em it was drizzling.  We have not seen it since but would still love to try and figure out who it was - I am leaning towards some kind of funky cross.

And now for someone else a bit different - as far as we can figure it is a Canadian X Domestic Goose cross!  The first one I have ever seen and I have been birding for years (and years)

The stuff looks especially since there are many model horse customizing techniques that use powders not paint.

prepaid or no contract phones - I have Virgin Mobile and just found out I can no longer transfer money between my two phones so I need to find a new carrier that I do not have to top up as often so the second phone does not build up so much value or will let the two phones share.  I do not use my phone enough to have a big carrier monthly plan so not going there.

Here have some :cookie: for your help and input.

Anyone ever tried dying on of the translucent type pony bodies on the inside?

You know like the G1 and G3 Sparkle ponies.
