I would looove some dollyhair comparisons, if anyone had these colours and could do me some pics. *bats eyelashes*

In particular, I'm looking for comparisons of oranges and of yellows.

Especially: Tigerlilly, Pumpkin Spice, Satsuma, Nectarine, Marmalade (so, kind of the 'true' oranges)
and
Pinapple, Lemon Drop, Napalm, Butterfly, Yellow Fever.

A week or so ago I finished making a G1 Rarity.

She was originally a bait-worthy Sparkler, with no symbols to speak of, pink stains and pen marks all over her, a chipped horn and no mane. I found her sobbing at the bottom of my bait box, crying "I'm so pathetic!" She thought looking like that was the. Worst! Possible! Thing! So I agreed to give her a makeover.
She was given a full body repaint in a nice simple yet sophisticated white. Her symbols and eyes were carefully handpainted in lovely shades of blue, and she was given a perfect sweep of matching eyeshadow. Her symbols and eyes were given a nice glossy coating to bring them out. Fabulous!
Then she was given some stunning, sweeping locks in Sour Grapes.
Finally, I styled her hair as close to show accurate as I could get it.


But by this time it was night, and we weren't happy with how the photos came out, so we rescheduled for another day. In the meantime, however, Rarity decided she didn't like her hairstyle and let her curls fall. Rather than redoing them, we agreed she looks much more elegant like this.

b. what her hair colour match is in Dollyhair?

So I'm currently making a custom of G1 Twist. Her streak is *actually* fading pink on the originals, but a lot of people think it's white because so many have faded.
 
 Now...should I rehair my custom with a pink streak, or a white streak?
 
 Her G1 friends will pretty much all have a white streak now, regardless of what colour it was when it started - I also don't have any of the pink Dollyhair on hand, so I'd have to order it and wait for it to arrive, whereas I do have white and can do that now.
 
 Thoughts?

This is the mash-up swap pony I made for DevlishSmooch!

Out of her list of favourites, I picked Red Roses and Ice Crystal. I like to think they got it onnn, that this is what their daughter looks like!

She has had a full body repaint in a custom mixed shade of pale, minty green. Her symbol is a mix of Ice Crystal and Red Roses' symbols. All painting - symbols, eyes and FBR - were done in acrylics. She was rehaired in soft, unspun merino wool, has genuine swarovski crystal accents, and has a little swarovski crystal pendant dangling from her neck. Her hair is styled and tamed (haha) with satin ribbon and stain roses. She was sealed with Testor's Dullcote. She's only my third completed custom, and my first G3, so I'm quite happy with her, and I'm glad her new mummy is too!

I was pretty pleased with how she came out, and I'm thrilled that DevlishSmooch likes her!
And now I can stop worrying about her getting lost on her journey halfway around the world!

So the main thing I'm having trouble with on my latest custom is top eyelashes. I wanted to make them fairly long and thick, but when I have to paint them over the contours of the eyeshape (G3 bait) they go all wonky.

Does anyone have any ideas on avoiding it?

Any ideas how much this lady would go for in very near mint condition?
