You might recall that my Baby Sundance was missing her right iris. A few weeks ago I even made a thread about the eyepatch I'd finally crafted for her. But the patch is no longer needed. Quite while back I searched eBay for doll irises, and managed to find some (the starburst ones by GlassEyesOnLine) that were a good match for Beddy-Bye Eye Baby Pony irises. A little while back I finally ordered some of their smallest size (5mm). They were too big as-is, but I milled one down enough that it fit. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginTa-da! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's not quite the same blue as the remaining original eye, but I think it still works.

I bought Baby Sundance off of eBay a while back. In addition to the usual Beddy-Bye Eye bane of rust, she was missing the iris from her right eye. I did find a good match for the missing iris from a doll components seller, but I haven't got around to ordering it yet. I have, however, finally got around to making an eyepatch to cover the damaged eye: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's made from a piece of cardstock colored black with Sharpie and glued to some yarn. I coated the patch in glue to prevent ink from leeching out into Baby Sundance.

The 35th Anniversary reissue of the Pretty Parlor does not include the pink felt blanket-cape that the original had. I would be quite grateful if someone could scan the blanket, or a tracing thereof, for myself and others to use as a pattern for cutting replicas. Or point me to an existing such pattern if you know of one.

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI purchased a reissue Skydancer almost 3 weeks ago, haven't opened her yet. It's looking like she might be a darker yellow than the original, but I don't own an original so I can't be sure. What do people think?

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginPicked these two up at Target last Tuesday but have been dawdling on actually opening them up. Skydancer looks like she might be a darker yellow than her original release, but as I don't own the original I not sure. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFinally got around to unboxing and assembling the Pretty Parlor this morning. Here's a photo of it closed up. It's rather pretty indeed, although I plan to paint it to make it even prettier. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd here it is opened up for play and display. Peachy uses the later concave-hoof version of the Collector's Pose mold (which I hear is better at standing up, so it's good in my book), has an unglued/unfused neck (I don't know if this is standard for 35th Anniversary ponies, I have yet to actually unbox the others I have ), and her tail ribbon is sewn on (which from what I've read is standard on these reissues). The reissue Parlor is a bit lacking compared to the original - it doesn't have the extra ribbons or the felt saddle blanket, it only has a nameboard for Peachy (the original had nameboards for all eight Collector Pose ponies), and while the box recaptures the style of the original boxes the same cannot be said for the instructions (which are a bit less detailed about use and accessoriesand use grayscale photos rather than blue lineart). The slip with Peachy's story that names Twinkles is also omitted (although Twinkles' name is at least mentioned in the contents list on the box). Still, if you don't have the original it's not a bad buy.

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginA few years back I came up with an alicorn design for Megan, some of you might remember past drawings of it. Recently, just for the heck of it, I decided to draw a taur version. This is the result. What do you think?

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI got this Tinkerbell-printed teeny locket in a thrift-store mixed bag. I was thinking of customizing it into a Rainbow of Light locket for Megan but I'm not 100% sure on doing so. What do you all think?

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI've had this particular bit of horsing around planned for a few years, and had what I needed for the original plan since last year. And by the time I finally got to it Power of the Primes Elita had come out; after getting her I was inspired to tweak the idea a bit to include her.

So, there are some playsets I haven't been able to find the release year for (I've checked My Little Wiki and Ponyland Press). These are: - The Brush Me Beautiful Boutique
- The Rockabye Bed
- The Sweet Dreams Crib
- The Scrub-A-Dub Tub
- Home Sweet Home (I know it was 1989, but I'm not sure if it's Year 7 or Year 8)
Can anyone help me out, either by informing me directly or pointing me to a site with more complete info on them?

visitors can't see pics , please register or loginFor Mermay, I decided to draw a picture of Megan as a mermaid because that would make her Mermegan (yay pun). To add some interest to the drawing, I drew her playing underwater croquet with Seawinkle. I skipped doing a background because of time constraints, but I may go back and add it later.

Pretty much what it says on the tin. Currently a work in progress: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt was of course inspired by the official Carry Case and Collector's Case, and it's going to have a drawer like the latter. The body of the case is being made out of cardboard. I will clear-coat the inside after all the cardboard is together, to prevent issues. The plastic liner trays are being made from cut-up milk bottles, which will be hot-glued into position.

I'm looking for Baby Sundance's bridle. Her brush and comb wouldn't go amiss either, for the sake of set completion.

I found a Dream Castle listed on eBay for $74.99 plus shipping. It was the lowest price I can recall seeing for it in my years of on-off eBay searching for it, and I had earned enough money from my seasonal job to be able to pay for it, and I ordered it Saturday evening. Now, it was hardly in perfect shat that price. It was bare of accessories save for the bracket for Spike's basket winch, the original rope for the drawbridge had enterprisingly been replaced with a shoestring, and the clips on the side walls were damaged. And the seller said it was in need of further cleaning, lots of storage grime still on it. But all the structural pieces were present and accounted for, and the price was too good pass up. It arrived yesterday. The seller wasn't kidding about it needing further cleaning. Judging by the look and greasy texture of some of the grime, mice or some other creature had got at it while it was stowed away, so I had to give it an initial scrubdown with a damp rag loaded with a little bleach (plus throw away the shoelace), and that's taken care of that much along with some of the grubbiness. There is still plenty of the general grime of ages on it, though, still need to work on that. Would using a steam cleaner be advisable? I also of course need to get a hold of the accessories and replace the drawbridge rope, etc. I was thinking to use a length of twine at least for now. Does anyone know how long the original was? If not I should be able to work it out myself with measuring tape. I also need to replace the stickers. Does anyone happen to have a scan of the sticker sheet? And now, pictures: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe stickers in the bag are the ones that came off partly or entirely during the scrubdown. Some are torn, some are whole. [img]
