I hadn't even realized it until I pulled out my SHS tonight! Just one away....yay!!!! The other day a massive boatload of custom ponywear arrived from the lovely and talented bewilderness, including skirts and legwarmers for my SHS. Pics this weekend!

I'm no expert, but I'm curious to know how long most doll lines last. Some, like Barbie, just keep going and going and going. But most faddish type dolls tend to last a few years and fade out, correct?

While I love Monster High, I've become addicted and I'm terrified of them lasting for another few years. I KNOW I won't be able to stop buying the dolls or custom fashion for them. Please please PLEASE assure me that they won't be around too much longer! PLEAAAAAASEEEEEEEEE!!!!

I'm at 25 and counting...I cannot let this get out of hand!

Pony Corral / The 30 Day Challenge

Yesterday I was deeply saddened and disturbed when PayPal revealed that I was only $800 from reaching a total of spending $5000 in a twelve month period. I've spent that money on loads of stuff, particularly ponies and Monster High. Bad, BAD tuney!

As such, I've decided to take a thirty day vow of abstinence in April. No more eBay browsing, no more participating in Monster High threads, no more stalking etsy. Thirty days of saver's bliss. But I can't do it alone. I'm going to need your support, and I'm going to need fellow savers to band with me!

So who wants to join my 30 Day Challenge in April? It means no buying ponies, customs, dolls, or any collectibles. One month! Imagine how much I could save! Imagine how much money YOU'LL save!

P.S. If you plan to enlist, say so, and I'll update this post to include the names of all challenge participants.

In exchange for Draculaura, I'm looking for the CAM werewolf, though I'm open to other CAMs. The dress on Draculaura has not been sewn in the back (I guess the seller forgot) so you'll need a sewing machine to finish it!

The Dollhouse / Today I come out as a doll collector to my family...

I posted this on the main MH thread, but nobody noticed, so I decided to make it a thread of its own.

Today is a big day for me. It took me a long time to come out to my immediate family about my pony collecting, and today I've decided it's time to introduce them to Monster High. I'm going to put a few dolls on display - Clawd, Gil, Frankie, Clawdeen, and probably Abbey, Toralei, and Ghoulia as well. Honestly, they shouldn't be surprised. I was playing with Barbie and Ken at a young age. That is, until mom threw Barbie away but told me she was "away in Africa on a missionary trip." Ken remained a while longer, until I started dressing him in drag. So really, they have no reason to freak out. HA!

How did your family react when you started collecting dolls in addition to ponies?

As many of you are quite aware, Beyonce used to be into MLP as a little girl. How do I know that? Thanks to good ol' People magazine, of course!

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / It's been almost a year and a half...

...since I was collecting G2 LPS. I haven't bought any since then, but the other day I decided to rearrange my pony/transformers display cabinet, and I added about 50 LPS!

Nostalgia took over, naturally, and I've rekindled the desire to buy more! However, I have a ton of pets I need to sell/trade first! Another thread on that soon.

So who else collects the G2s?

Why the hell do the sets only come with one torso that doesn't match the dolls? I'm baffled. It's so completely ridiculous. Whatever exec approved that deserves to be taken out to the country, and well, you know...

I'm falling in love with the sea monster girl. I think she's be a perfect candidate for rehairing. But here's my questions...

1. Can the build a monster dolls be rehaired?

2. Do you think it's possible to dye the torso to match the sea monster's blue skin? I know Lagoona's a much paler blue, but even that would be better than that white torso! Just a matter of finding a poor Lagoona's torso...hehe...

3. How hard is it to get a hold of this set?

So what's going on in your 'niche' of the Arena?

Is there an awesome photo thread in Customs? Some really neat art in Brags? A fun thread in the Corral? Some newly discovered gems in Nirvana? Now is the opportunity to link the rest of the Arena! C'mon, tonight is the night to get out of your comfort zone!

Basically you can replicate plastic objects with this little machine. Perhaps one day we will be able to replicate rare MLPs!

I'd love an army of Baby Moondancer's and Glory's. When I was doing a swap with skydreamer, I bought her one of each. I posed her two next to my two, and it was the cutest little foursome ever! I'd love to amass a small herd of them. Something about a herd of adorable little white unicorns brings back memories of The Last Unicorn and has this great 'true unicorn' feel.
