Okay guys, I work with fish for a living... and I am trying to make a list for a "side collection" of all the ponies with fish or fish related symbols. There aren't a lot, but I've got a good list but maybe I'm missing some? Also, I'm not up on Nirvanas - so if there is like an Argie variation of someone, please - let me know!!
*Fish and fish related means... symbols like ocean creatures like fish, seahorses, plants, crustaceans, etc - I'm not counting sea ponies here - I'll even accept Whales and Dolphin symbols - even though they're mammals, they're still "fishy" enough for my list at the moment*
Okay here's the list I have so far:
G1: Seashell SS Angel DnW Baby Flicker Sunshine Wave Runner Sunshine Sea Flower Tropical Sea Breeze Bubblefish SHS Sunglory Baby Mermaid Sea Princess Baby Mermaid Sea Shimmer Baby Mermaid Pearly Splish Splash Splosh Mummy Sunbright Baby Sunbright
G1 Nirvanas: Italian Seashell French Seashell South African Seashell Dutch Delphin Pony Dutch Shell Pony
G2 Eve Her Majesty Pearl Baby Ocean (?? What is this ones cutie mark? I can't tell from pictures online...)
G3 Baby Ocean Dreamer Summer Shores Underwater Art Pony Seaspray August Breeze Aurora Mist Hidden Treasure Sand Dollar Shell-belle Strawberry Reef (ehhhhh maybe, I know it has coral but also has a strawberry, lol!)
G4 BB G4 Sea Swirl BB G4 Sapphire Shores
My list may be complete, I don't know for sure... but I'm looking for additions like nirvanas and others like I mentioned, that are maybe variations of some of these ponies -even if it's something like, Oh there's a NC version of so and so, looks the same but it's NC, or something - please add if you can help!! Thank you!

Okay so I searched the forums here for other topics on Paypal's Bill Me Later. I contemplated, and did, make a purchase and intended to use Bill Me Later to pay for it (and it was offered on the listing). So, once the listing ending, I went to pay for two items together with the Bill Me Later. I logged in, followed all the instructions in a timely manner (no timing out) and then was eventually directed back to eBay. I read it quickly but I remember it saying something about my transaction still pending... Well, I got an email confirming my order of both items, and then I went to eBay and it shows that the larger dollar amount item is "unpaid" right now. I also logged into Paypal to check my Bill me Later account, and the only charge showing up is the smaller dollar amount item. Does anyone have experience with this? I was approved for a MUCH higher dollar amount than I spent, so it shouldn't be a matter of anything like that. I'm wondering how long I should wait to see if I should try to pay "again" or... what... I did try to pay again right after to see if maybe the higher dollar amount item didn't go through but it just gave me an error. I'm assuming it's still processing or something, but it's got my nerves all wacked out... so... talk me down? LOL Any experience or advice would be helpful! Edit: As per the third post here, my issues are resolved and my ponies will hopefully be on their way to me shortly!

Hi all, I'm trying to match a hair color for Euro Baby Schoolbag. She has an interesting green color... and I can't actually find that set of ponies on the Hair Matching Guide that I was given... I was just wondering if anyone knew what shade (let's say of DH colors for now... other similar colors from other sites would be helpful too!) Here's a photo I stole of her just in case you could name this by shade: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd I stole this picture from Google Images - so, if it's yours, I can either credit you for it or take it down... I was thinking it was the same as Medleys hair or Gusty's hair? I don't have one to physically compare. It just seems to be more of a matte color than shiny like Medley's or Gusty's... Thanks!!

I'm sorry if my post is a bother but I just wanted to say that after having issues a while ago with DH and watching this thread I did place an order. I had absolutely no problems with this order and was really happy with it. I don't know about hank size as this is my first DH I've ever successfully ordered from her, but I just wanted to put in m positive two cents. I hope the rest of you can get your orders straightened out, and sorry if my post is a problem.

So, for a long time during the reign of G3 ponies - I was either a MIB collector, or I was in college away from my collection, and not participating in MLP collecting at all... I really wasn't super into collecting MIB - I mean, I love the ones I have, but it's so fun to have them loose, and styled etc... so, I finally broke out my measly loose G3 collection (I seriously had like... 3 loose), and started picking up some here and there are thrift stores when I found them... I have no way at all to display my actual collection (meaning my G1s), but I did get a small bookshelf for my G3s (though now they're spilling off of it and everywhere else...) The only ones I don't have on display are any of the ones in the "standard" molds that they started using when they made like pony clothes (rubber clothes?) for the G3s. All of those Core 7s are stashed away, just really no place for them! Plus I have like 4 different Pinkie Pie's that are all in those poses, lol! Anyway, onto the ponies! I haven't ID'd them all yet - especially from the Purple ponies on down to the blues. I hope in the future I can keep finding new ones (since there are SO many more) that I don't have at thrift stores and flea markets... They're so cute. Definitely my favorite generation after G1.

So I went out of town this past weekend to visit a friend, and to basically go flea market-ing, thrift store-ing, etc. We all love to do that (there's a group of 4 of us that like to go and we all look for different things...) and I've been on kind of a hot "pony streak" lately - I'll find one at the Goodwill or some place almost every time I go (though, mostly McDonalds ponies or ones I don't personally collect, but I rescue them!) And FINALLY the flea market and thrift store gods shined down upon me and granted me a TON of things!! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI did get two fakies... the big one in the back and the purple Magic Meadow/Cabbage Patch pony (though, it has glass eyes so it's a fakie of a "fakie" right?)... then I was lucky enough to find several G1s, the BBSoD shell, a like 85% complete Show Stable (has almost everything, just missing some tiny stuff and Lemon Drop/Brandy), a G1 Bubble bath container, a G1 McDonalds Bookmark, a Mommy charm - a bunch of pony clothes (though the star thing on a rope is something else... Moondreamers maybe??) one G3.5 that my friend picked up for me, and a bunch of G3 ponies (most of which I didn't have yet)... It was crazy! I NEVER EVER EVER get this lucky... and some of the G1s will be upgrades to my own which is amazing! They all have pink hair (look at that Baby Tiddlywinks, shes CRAZY PINK!) I also found two G3 little hardcover books with Kimono and Minty, they each have brushable hair. All of them are a mess, and I did notice one I picked up has some ink marks - but otherwise, I'm getting them all ready for their spa treatments to defrizz and decrinkle tinsel, etc. I can't wait until they're all cleaned up! Anyway, it was amazing. I just had to share because this was a haul that I'll never forget lol! (And probably won't happen again for a LONG long time!)

I know each customizer is an artist, and artists have their own tips and tricks and secrets they'd rather not share...
But I really would love if someone could help me out with one, big, thing that I've always wanted to learn how to do...
Does anyone have any advice on painting custom symbols that look like REAL mlp symbols? I mean, the real ones were like "silk screened" kinda on, right? Like a rolling paint over a stencil... is that basically what it comes down to? My free-hand skills will of course have to improve to get the kinds of details that some of the symbols have on them, but... I mean... I just don't know how to paint a symbol that doesn't look like a giant painted symbol.
Any advice on what type of paint (brand, thinned out, mixed with, etc), brush, technique? I've got a Baby Tiddlywinks (NBBE) who's absolutely adorable, but unfortunately has huge blue ink marks all over, and I wanted to customize her, and instead of making a completely OC, I was hoping to kind of make a "real" MLP type custom...
I just need some help? Also, what's the best way to not make my base coat of paint on the body look so... "painted"... ?
Thank you for anything you can share with me!!

Hi all, so I just recently had a chance to compare some of my TE ponies to new ones that I got (in hopes to upgrade them) - and when I was looking at them side by side I noticed that some looked to have much lighter, clearer gems in their eyes... but that the TE ponies with darker eyes had more iridescence on the gems themselves... So I assume this is just rubbing? Like the ones that seem lighter or a different color are just worn off more? I took a few pictures: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginDifferent angles - it's not just the camera flash, as you can clearly see the difference in real life also... I first noticed in on Galaxy, but it really didn't show up in the photos as well as it does in real life when you're just looking at them: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe one in back, or behind - is the lighter one. It's like rose petal pink in the normal light. The one in front is not nearly as pink, more purple-y and much darker in real life. So, if this is just rubbing, I assume the "darker" one, with more irridescense is less rubbed and therefore in better condition... but are there any variations of the gems used in the TEs?

Okay, I need some help... does anyone have information on this Wysteria here? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI don't know what she was from - maybe some random set or something? You can see here she's much larger and more detailed than the McDonalds G3 Wysteria (and isn't the Henna version of the McDonalds toy)... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBut she IS smaller than an adult G3 pony (and obviously has a molded tail...) Anyway she's been an odd-ball in my collection, no idea where she came from, but if someone can fill me in, I'd be grateful! Thank you for looking!

So, I don't know anything about Fashion Star Fillies - except that I used to have Joelle and Cliff (? the boy) when I was a kid. Regardless... I have kept myself away from collecting them because collecting MLPs is kind of a big thing to do in itself, so I try to stay focused... even though I do like them, especially when I see someone with a whole bunch! Anyway, I happened to pick up a lot with some random "MLP" clothing, and instead of MLP clothing (well okay, there was a nightgown for the Sweet Dreams set), most of the clothing was Fashion Star Fillies. I found this website: http://www.fashionstarfillies.com/clothing/tfunfash.htmWhich has let me identify what I have - but does anyone know how to value these items? They seem to be far more "rare" (in terms of showing up correctly identified for sale) than MLP clothing does... I couldn't even wait to post this, I've been working on this custom for... like forever now. And she's FINALLY FINISHED! Now, I'm not like "a customizer", my skills are lacking as far as refinement and such, but this is what I made, and I LOVE her. I am definitely planning on making her some companions like this one... typically the kind of customs I like most are the ones who look like real ponies (not real horses, but like they could've been made by Hasbro)... so this is way outside my range of what I wanted to do originally... But, the background story is, she started as a Baby Sunribbon (A pony I wouldn't normally ever want to customize, and ACTUALLY was in my "spa" because she was an upgrade to mine....) who my dog Quorra got a hold of and chewed off two of it's legs, put holes in the other legs, chewed off the entire face on one side - including muzzle, mouth, eye, cheeks and ears... So I decided to try my hand with my apoxie clay and try to remake the body. Well, I did kind of a wonky face, but it's my first attempt ever. So then I wasn't sure how exactly to make it totally smooth with the original body, so I struggled dealing with that... I'm not someone who has any pony hair to rehair, I've never tried, I really want to learn, but without those resources, I turned back to sculpting. I had made a few other customs I never finished with sculpted hair, and I like the look of it for certain things, so I did that. Then I finally had an idea of what I wanted to make... My original idea was something completely different - and that kind of explains why she has wings that look that way (super simple, not even like baby pegasus wings) - but, I was having trouble getting her paint to not be sticky... so I bought an airbrush. This is also my first attempt at airbrushing... lots of firsts on this girl. Once she was airbrushed, she didn't really look the way I wanted because my craft store has a junk selection of colors only really for cars and planes - lots of tans, greens, blues, grays... (oh yeah, and I made the mistake of taping her eyes off to try and save them? Just ended up with me having way too many layers of paint between her original eyes and the new top coat, so that's something I learned to NOT do next time)... so ANYWAY she kind of became this: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginSo she's resculpted, sculpted hair, air brushed, then hand painted. Her embellishments are mostly pearls, metal cogs and chain. Lace bow and lining around her feet, and some clay/ceramic roses. The fur on her is real Silver Fox fur. I still have some extremely minor details to fix - her eyes need some touch up work (my first ever repainted eyes, and my hands shake like CRAZY so it's super hard for me to do detail work...) and her blush I need to fix (it's part of where her face was chewed off so it's kinda wonky...) Please feel free to critique her, or anything... I just want to improve as a customizer Anyway, thanks for letting me share. I think I am going to use her as a base to possibly open commissions for these types of ponies (but I know that belongs in the Custom Sales forum, so I'll speak of it no more here!)

Okay not really the FARMING life... or a really big farm... but, I just thought I'd share some pictures of my small hobby farm and all my critters who I love so much (We call them 'lovestock', not 'livestock'.) We started the farm because we bought a house kind of out in the country on a small piece of land and realized we basically bought a chestnut farm. We have something like 28 chestnut trees on the property. We also raise chickens, turkey, geese, and 2 goats. The birds are mainly for egg production, and incubation in the spring, and the goats are just pests. Oops did I type pests... I meant pets... no, I was right, I meant pests. So I have like a bazillion pix but here are some that I actually had a chance to upload to photobucket... This is Jive turkey. He's our star on the farm. He's the absolute nicest, funniest turkey in the world. He's a Royal Palm - on the American Heritage Breed Conservancy list. He just follows you around all day and hangs out outside. When you laugh, he gobbles. He's quite funny. We love him. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis little guy is named after one of the new FIM ponies - Drama Pony! He's a silkie chicken... and he's really a funny little guy. I don't know how he sees out of those feathers on his head! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere is a shot of part of our gaggle of geese. This is when the young ones were still small! Now they're all huge! And so noisy! We have American Buff geese, Tolouse, Chinese Crested, White Chinese Crested and some mixies. There are also 2 drakes who hang out in with the geese. They have no idea they're ducks and not geese, and the geese don't seem to notice either! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginHere's another shot of some of the ducks and geese: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThis is Qui-Lo - my male Chinese Crested purebred. He's hilarious - and acts as a sentry for the rest of the group. Sadly, he has no mate yet (though I know some of the young ones - none of which are related to him - are female, so he has a chance yet!) visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThese two goofy creatures are the dogs Sorta farm dogs, they're inside dogs... Red is an old roo now... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd a picture of some of the chickens: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginOkay sorry for cluttering up the wall but posting this but I just thought I'd share. I love taking pics of the animals (haven't done so in the winter, need to get out there), and I just love sharing what I've learned about them, etc, from living here so far. Don't know what the point of this post was really other than an excuse to share some pictures of farm animals, hehe But I'll share knowledge I have too if anyone wants to know, lol! (I'm no expert by any means!)

Hi there, I've seen some people make wonderful reproduction items on here... and I was wondering if anyone had made a reproduction adult sea pony shell? I would be interested in buying them (potentially of course depending on the price) and was looking for both the clam shell and conch shells...
Anyway, just thought I'd put it out there.
Also if anyone could point me in the direction of the reproduction Surprise Twins Mommy Babies (i'm going on a search through the forums now...) - I'd greatly appreciate it!

Hello all... I'm brand new to re-hairing, in fact, I've never done it before, but I really would like to start. So, my 'mane' question (harharhar!) is - how do I know what ponies had what color hair when I'm looking into replacement hair? Like... if I wanted to know what color hair Moondancer had, or what all the colors in the 2nd set of Rainbow Ponies - how do I tell? Is there a list somewhere I can look at? I have three ponies who I'm looking for what their color would be - Pinkie Pie (G4 version, matched to the brushable), Twilight Sparkle (again, G4 Brushable colors), and Moodancer (G1 unicorn)... Also does anyone have any quick tips on what tools to buy for this endeavor? Thanks! I'm currently searching the Arena now for tutorials
