My partner in the TFT Swap was Rosierjay.  Her first pick was the character Momotaro from the Fairytale of same name.  It's a Japanese tale about the perfect son born to a childless, older couple from within a giant peach.  He's one of those perfect characters that is the hero of his village, defeating the ogre's (Oni in the Japanese version, which are demons) on an island nearby and reclaiming treasure they looted from the town.  Well...in my story, he returns home carrying a tainted demon sword that has begun to possess him and turn him into an Oni.  Once he is corrupt...it will corrupt the rest of the village and THEY will be the new ogre village.

It took me a LONG time to sort out what I wanted to do.  I started four baits in totat and completed two full rehairs and three fbrs before I finally settled on something that felt right.  I sent him in a box that I covered in a Japanese fabric depicting Momotaro, with a copy of the tale I came up with and a dog figure whose tail I reset in a tighter curl so that he'd look like an Akita.  Sadly...I somehow didn't get pictures of the dog!   Momotaro's symbol is a rotting peach and he hides his taint from view on one side.  He is sporting, sandals, some banged up armor and the demon sword itself, Soul Rot (written on the scabbard).  Here are the pictures!

I've seen some gorgeous MH customs out there and I've begun some customizing of my own...but...I'm terrified of ruining a doll by trying to do the face up myself.  I love rehairing, it's great stress relief, but my confidence ends there and I don't have a steady hand.  I was wondering who the artists were that take face up commissions and I'd love to see some lovely face ups.  I bet I'm not the only one!

This is my half of a monochromatic swap with PandaBerryInSpace.  She started life as a baity Braided Beauty and I gave her an all blue makeover with a bird symbol since Panda noted she liked animals and a bird seemed the most suited to blue.  She is a fully rehaired and working brush n grow.  I'm thrilled I was able to rehair the mechanism and I loved doing it!  I'll definitely keep an eye out for BnG baits in the future!  Love them!

I.....have a problem.  I am starting to fall for the dance n prance ponies!  I used to hate them because of their Franken-bolt.....but they grew on me.  I especially like DJ and Player.  Been sighing over them on eBay and trying to behave!

Do you like these girls?  Do you have them?  Show them off, I'd love to see them!

This was a quick and easy custom for stress relief and fun.  I gave her a new symbol, new hair, and painted to hide a slice above her eye.  I did a quick change of eye color, too.  She was a gift for Lochnessmomster.
