 Marshie's MLP Arena Sitting Pony Adopts! Hello all! I decided to open up some adopts for MLP Arena! These can be used as signatures or profile pictures on the Arena! With these adopts, I am open to doing any hairstyle and adding any extras (glasses, piercings, clothes, etc...) for OCs and ponysonas. Characters from the toylines, shows, and other MLP media are all fair game as well. Below are some examples of each species of pony! I finally ordered and received my copy of The My Little Pony G1 Collector's Inventory by Summer Hayes! This book was made back in 2008 and I was curious if any of the prices inside have changed due to some inflation of USD? (I don't mind either way, I'm purely curious!)

If you saw my antique mall post, I was able to pick up 6 ponies. It was a lucky find! Unfortunately, a few had matted, knotted hair. I was working on G3 Rainbow Dash last night and today in order to fix her hair up a bit! I do not intend on keeping her, since I really only have big interest in G1, but I was wondering if there was any way to get her hair a little more presentable for when I put her up for sale? Today, I was off work so I decided to do a little bit of antiquing! I enjoy a lot more than just ponies at antique shops, and last time I went to this specific antique shop I found zero ponies. I had some good luck today! I found three G3 ponies and three G4 ponies! (I do not collect these two generations, but I'm more than happy to make them clean, defrizz hair, and resell!) To be more specific on which ponies I got, here they are! G3- Rainbow Dash Styling Pony

G4- Fluttershy (I believe she is the Fashion Style?)
- Pinkie Pie (I believe she is the Fashion Style?)

I was looking to get a Takara fakie or two and make a custom out of it, but was wondering if anyone went through this process already? If you have, post them below! I just wanted to know if the material of Takaras are different (mind you, I do not currently own a Takara fakie so I do not know).

I haven't been extremely active the past two weeks and that's because I just got done with my black walnut harvest!
Black walnut grows naturally in the Eastern part of North America, mainly the US area. They are sweeter and a bit more floral than normal walnut you can buy at the store (which is typically English walnut). They have a harvest time of late September to early October.
I just got all of them husked and tied into cheese cloth for the drying process! This takes about two weeks for them to be completely dry. This has been my biggest harvest yet and I only plan to get bigger harvests from here! I'm super excited to start baking with them, mainly banana bread!
What are your favorite recipes that use walnut? I want to try some of them out!

How do you display your ponies?
I’ve been meaning to get a shelf or something to start keeping my ponies in, but I’m not to sure what kind to get (sealed? open shelving? etc...) and I was wondering if anyone could give me suggestions! If you have links to your shelves or boxes or whatever, please feel free to link those here!

What's everyone's other interests other than MLP and other 80s memorabilia? Personally, I'm into horror, true crime, post-hardcore music, photography and art! I feel like I'm strange for liking cute things and horror/dark things at the same time, but I hear it's actually pretty common! Hello everyone! I was doing some restoration on G1 Moondancer and ran into a bit of a predicament. On her right hoof there appears to be a spot where the vinyl has been eaten away by mold or some other thing, leaving a small area of thin plastic (see attached image). I was going to just break the vinyl and fill it with apoxi sculpt, but I was also wondering if there was any other way to go about this? What is your favorite type of pony from the G1 line? Mine are the Twinkle Eyed Ponies and Twice as Fancy Ponies! I love the Twinkle Eyes and the story behind how they have gemstones for eyes is so strange that I just couldn't be more in love! The Twice as Fancy ponies are a favorite due to the large cutie marks and the small details they have on their cheeks! Lem me hear about your favorites!!

What's everyone's favorite song from G1? Mine is a toss-up between "How Does My Garden Grow" and "Oh, for a Rainy Day". I love Posey's singing in HDMGG and the soft tone in her voice. As for OFARD, I love that song because rain and overcast days are my favorite! I find myself thinking of the song when I know rain is soon in the forecast! Let me hear your favorites and why!

Do the pony collectors here have more luck finding ponies in the wild at thrift shops, garage sales, or flea markets? I'm trying to make a game plan for this weekend when I plan to search all stores and garage sales I can for some G1 ponies! Was just curious where you all have more luck finding some ponies? Cheers!

Hello everyone!
My name is Marshie and I'm new to the community! I am a 22 year old from the United States. I recently graduated from college in May of this year (bad timing right? lol) with a degree in broadcasting media! I'm currently a full time employee at a simple $13 an hour job (not media related) just trying to get by.
I only recently started collecting G1 ponies! I got my first G1 pony back in March (Firefly!). I got her for the sole reason of learning how to restore her, as she had a lot of issues with her mane and some marks on her vinyl. Restoring old 80s ponies is just a unique hobby I decided to pick up, and they are just so cute and great for display!! I only have 3 G1 ponies (Firefly, Starshine, and Moondancer) but I am very eager to expand my collection.
Feel free to ask me any questions, pony or not! Look forward to being in this community!
