Update 12/30/17!!
I got a few more additions done in time for this year's holiday season! I never got the chance to post the though! I will keep the new pics at the top of this thread for easy viewing and then move them down into spoilers once I make new things!

First up I made some FiM characters to go with the pony theme! Next year I hope to add in some G1!

I loved the art from the movie so I took all the lineart from either the movie or its stock art! Twilight sits a little funny so she has the present to block the fact her butt isn't on the ground :P

My big project this year was patching up the paper mache horse, but she is saved! It took a lot of work, and her feet got so warped she couldn't stand on her own anymore, so we had to glue wood boards to her back and use steel poles for support. But other than that I think she's looking much more festive this year! I did all the extra sculpting of her accessories with paper mache air dry clay.

Hey everyone!
The past couple of years i have been working on and off on holiday decorations for my family's home! I've never really showed them off anywhere but the neighborhood and since most of them are MLP themed anyway i figured I should start showing off here! I mostly just make decorations for Halloween and Christmas right now, so I'll try and seperate the two from each other. I'll continue to update this thread as I make more things!

Old pictures are under spoliers to try and keep loading times down!

Anna and Elsa, This was maybe my 3rd or 4th year carving pumpkins? Unfortunately I think I've lost pics of my earlier year pumpkins for now :( I got too ambitious for my own good, lol I wanted a silhouette of the two sisters in front of a snowflake, but i did too much carving and broke the snowflake, so I tried to do a bunch of smaller ones. It looked awkward and I don't think many people got what it was.

This was a little "test" pumpkin. The design is off one of my favorite albums.

To this day this is still the best pumpkin I've ever carved and I have no idea how I did it. I use the same tools every year but I've never been able to achieve the same result.
2016:
I'm not sure why but I never took a picture of this pumpkin. I wasn't really proud of it but it wasn't the worst thing I had done either.

Tried to do a movie style Pinkie Pie. I cut too deep and she really started to fall apart before Halloween (Hence the paper towel holding her up :P ).

Yard Decorations:
All of these are traced on wood (so don't give me too much credit for the art! :P) and then cut out and painted and sealed with outdoor acrylic paints. My dad is nice enough to cut them out for me still, and he does an excellent job everytime, so he deserves credit for that!

The Haunted Mansion Hitchhiking Ghosts in fron of my mom's Haunted Mansion shrine.I thought I had a pic of them outside but I guess I don't! I'll try and get a picture of them outside before we take them down this year!

Christmas Decorations:
Yard Decorations:
These are made the exact same way my Halloween ones are! I've only made two so far, but I plan to eventually have a a grand, all generation pony party in our yard for Christmas!

I found this paper mache horse at Goodwill last year and patched her up and painted her to look like My Pretty Pony. Unfortunately she wasn't stored properly and her hooves got broken and warped and she was falling apart along her back and belly as well. I was able to patch her up a bit, but her hooves are still warped and she no longer stands properly. I'm still working on restoring her for this year, but she may end up with a metal pole in her belly so she can be secure in our yard :(

Sigs & Site Support / Is my sig still too heavy?
« on: August 07, 2013, 07:03:57 PM »
I just noticed my sig got pulled for being to heavy, I tried to flatten the image but i have a bad habit of making huge files and I'm not 100% sure how to check the weight, so it could still be huge. So can someone tell me if it's still too big? and if it is how can I fix it so it's not?

EDIT: I just made it a .gif file as well, i don't know if that brought the weight down at all or not
