Ok, so first thing I did was set my Vampire Girl's hair and let it dry. More on that later Then I broke out the paint box. My main goal was to work on my Sea Monsters. Detailing their fins and to a lesser extent their tentacles. The color was intended to be similar to their hair color. Back to my vampire girl. I removed her lips ages ago when I decided to make her a brunette. I rooted her in bitter chocolate brown and chestnut brown saran. So I set her hair and after working on my sea monsters, I worked on her. This is like my third attempt at doing her lips >.< The color isn't exactly what I wanted. I suppose I shouldn't have been afraid of making it more purple but it'll do until I get some more paints and maybe be able to mix up a color I like better. Through various exercises of photography, whether it's just getting the right set-up for an idea I had or photocontests, I've developed a little world for my dolls. Mostly my CaMs and customs/reroots, but a few stock dolls make 'trips' into their world. How about yours? We've has questionaires before, but this is profiles. Whether or not you use them in an OC context or a near-cannon contest, let us know a little about them! Who in their world are beast friends forever, boyfiends, ghoufriends? Brothers, sisters, cousins? How does it work for you? A little insight into your world. Basically, all my dolls do now attend Monster High (or the Night Class) or my version of it  I'll cobble together a few profiles myself, but I seem to have several bold personalities clambering for attention at the moment. My list of CaMs/Customs/Reroots. Not all of them have had that much thought put into them, but some of them have. Some of them aren't even finished yet still have personalities Neri McKraken (Sea Monster) Spoiler Neri McKraken is a Squiddish Sea Monster. She's 16 in Monster Years. She's not close to her parents but is close to her sister Mera. She's a sweet girl who loves fashion and makes friends easily. She's an avid swimmer and is even on the Swim Scream with her sister. She doesn't have a boyfiend yet because she just hasn't met the right guy. Her beast friend is Bellatrix Strange and is often the model for her designs. Other close friends include Ichabod DiCapitatio, Lexington Street, Brooklyn Lane, Demetria LaRoche, the McIllyochs, and Bryoni Pendragon. There aren't many ghouls she doesn't get along with, but Delilah DeMorte rubs her the wrong way sometimes. Her favorite subject in school is Biteology, with a preference for Marine Biteology. She can also speak shark, something that's rare even for Sea Monsters. She works part-time as a model, but she wants to take it to the next level and eventually landing a movie role before settling into a career as a Marine Biteologist. Despite not liking Delilah all that much, her favorite hang out at the Maul is Cafe DeMorte where several of her friends work after school. It's also centrally located to all the beast shops. She likes to shop but spending time with her ghoul friends is the best. Mera McKraken (Sea Monster) Bellatrix "Bella" Strange (Triclops) Spoiler Bellatrix "Bella" Strange is a Triclops that's 16 in Monster Years. She's creative and fun loving. She has a large family, who are loud and jolly, even when they argue over silly things at the dinner table. She likes to draw and design fashions and she she knows how to stitch things together with mad style. She likes almost everymonster and always manages to see the beast in everyone. Her beast friend is Neri McKraken but she gets along with everyone one, even Delilah DeMorte. She likes hanging at the Cafe DeMorte because of the creative atmosphere. They have karaoke set-up and also encourage aspiring artists to do their original stuff. She loves music and often has her fearbud stuck in her ears when she's working. Her favorite subject in school is Home Ick. She aspires to be a famous designer and is greatful she has such a willing model as Neri on hand. Also, some of the guys are willing to help out when turns her eyes to male fashion. She has a special third-eye seeing ability that happens randomly and can often get her in a bit of bind when she interprets what she saw incorrectly. She suspects that part of this ability is what allows her to see the good in even most stuck-up girls in school. Very few of the girls change their hair colors so this list will be more contained. I'll work on completeing this list but I know some things for certain, some things I need to investigate further. Only girls with Saran hair are listed here. I'm also going hold off on the girls with mostly black hair. RD supposedly has two different blacks where the texture and sheen are different, I need to investigate that more but RavenBlack/CM Midnight should do. My colors are based on dollyhair's colors at the moment. FrankieWhite - Ice White only available at dollyhair.com Black - need to investiagte further as it could be kanekalon but I doubt it. I've been thinking for awhile the Night Class needs a better banner (we just kinda threw one up when we opened) So I want someone that can make the Homescumming 2012 Court and (8 ghouls) in a banner for me. That is to say draw and color them.

Without spamming too much (details in my sig) I spent the majority of yesterday taking pics and TRYING to get them on to my computer. I think my canon has lost it after all these years and when I figured out how to use my Olympus' internal storage, I couldn't get them onto my dang computer...until today...after I restarted it  duh. But the end results were worth it. I didn't wanna waste any of my hair either so I just used hair from the wigs (took a whole wig and about a third of another) and decided to try a low placement. This werewolf girl used a dollar store doll's scalp. it's a bit flat but her hair is so big and awesome you'd never know. Experimented with rooting my It's My Nature Daniela. It turned out great even if she needs more hair around her part, but I was working with a smaller amount than usual and I am not buying another hank just for that and will probably never work with Kanekalon again. Meet Ryllis~! Akoya's my first pullip in about a year. Boo on type four though. I can't understand why the neckhole is almost right under the chin >.< It gives her a breath sucked in look. Maybe one day I'll feel up to explaining who the McIllyoch's are and why they make me love werewolves so much. But in the meantime; I rerooted my second 2.0 Clawdeen, Aideen McIllyoch. I had to add in lots of additional plugs because the stock hairstyle required fewer plugs but since I wasn't giving her a ponytail, I had to beef up her hair a bit but now I have her how I want her. It's just proof that Clawdeen can make anything look faboolous and fierce. DT Clawdeen in the CaM Vampre outfit. She even rocks the red barrette and those shoes are to die for GB Clawdeen reroot in the CaM Skeleton outfit with 2.0 Cleo's tights. Ok, so I was thinking of offering up CaM roots in trade for dolls (or outright money maybe). Just not sure if there'd be any interest or even a niche for me since everyone and their momma's seem to do it themselves anyways, and no one here knows me because I don't do the whole pony thing.
I've done a few regular reroots - A Draculaura that ended up with my friend trillian, a GB Clawdeen, a Jackson Jeckyll, almost finished with another 2.0 Clawdeen.
Then I've done the Dragon Girl (which sold on ebay for $30ish) and my personal Werewolf Girl has her hairline drawn on and waiting for her hair.
a few things to note:
-I don't style. I kind of suck at it right now, so if you want a style beyond something basic, you'll have to play with it yourself.
-I prefer working with Saran hair, it feels better to me and is what the majority of MHs are rooted with but if another type was preferred, or needed for streaks, I'm game with that.
-Hair buying. We go halfsies. I prefer buying from dollyhair.com but Restoredoll does carry a few colors in saran that they don't. The reason I'm willing to pay half is because there'd be some left over.
-Color: from dollyhair, I can request mixes, but keep the color 'chunks/streaks' to around 3.
-Rooting usually takes me around a week.
any other questions or flames, just post here. It's ok to tell me its a bad idea, but it's something.
