Ok, so, I found g5 ponies!
I wasn't expecting to find them this early in Sweden, but of course I picked them up

I've liked g5 since pics first started coming out, but I was on the fence with the molded hair and jointed bodies.
Like a lot of you, I thought they looked like they were made out of hard plastic, and I wasn't sure I was going to like them. My plan was to collect just the brushables, and maybe pick up Sunny with the skates, because, well... she has skates. (I love skates and skating)

But... they've won me over. I adore them!!
The plastic feels like g4 plastic, more or less. Except the hair, which is very gummy-y and soft. (I want to eat it, it looks delicious ;_; ) I love how expressive they are with how much you can pose their heads. Pipp is shorter than Sunny. They have a pretty good size muzzle! They remind me of g2. Aaaaah, I'm so excited to have them! I hope to find Izzy and Pipp, too, I want to complete this set!

Before the Holidays, I was commissioned by Nefalia to design and drag the official mascot for the upcoming Swedish Pony convention - Ponyfest!
The event is now announced ( thread here! ), and so, I can post my artwork
(I have gotten several questions about this on Instagram already, so if anyone here is wondering - YES, fanart is totally fine! Tag me as the creator if you upload (@shiayehsponyland on IG, shaiyeh everywhere else), but don't sell it! )


So here is Inga, the mascot for Ponyfest!

Since this pony convention is in Sweden, I wanted to incorporate some Swedish themes in her design. Her colours are those of the Swedish flag, and her symbol is a nice little "Fika" - a cup of coffee and something sweet to eat - in this case, a cinnamon bun (or kanelbulle, as we say )!
