The Dollhouse / Random Doll Opinions
« on: October 18, 2018, 06:34:49 PM »
Hi everyone! I just wanted to list my opinions on some dolls here and also hear your guy's opinions on these dolls as well. This is just some random doll lines that I thought up on the top of my  head and was like "Oh, this would be interesting to hear an opinion on" but I don't think each was worthy of each one getting a different topic thing.

L.O.L. Surprise
So this is the one I probably learned about the most recent. I originally knew sort of what they were however I didn't know everything about them. Now that I do, I think it's a neat idea, however I feel like the packaging is really wasteful. I also feel like some stuff is priced way too highly. Also the babies themselves aren't very appealing to me, especially their pets. Cool in concept, but just meh overall.

Shopkins Shoppies
Shopkins used to be something I had no interest in as with the shoppies until I saw a customizing video with one of the shoppies. After that I fell in love with the body type of the shoppies and now want to make some customs of them for my own. However the only thing that bugs me is their molded on clothes and the fact that their eyes are really weird (otherwise I might keep a while for myself)

Ever After High
Back when EAH first came out, I never really thought much of them. I was way more focused on getting my MH dolls. But soon after getting a first edition Maddie Hatter (and reading one of the books for school) I soon found appreciation for the series. I always wanted to get a doll of Duchess, but in the end I only ever got Madeline, Holly and Poppy, and the big dance version of Raven (sorry can't remember the lines name). I really wish I got a lot more earlier since I now see a lot more on stores like Amazon that I would really like...

Once Upon a Zombie
Once Upon a Zombie was a series I had no interest in when they first came out due to the fact that I thought they were cheap Dollar Store dolls. In more recent years I've grown fond of them and would love to get a few for my own.

So anyway those were a few of the lines I'd like to hear your opinions on. You can also add on some dolls you'd like to hear people's opinions on too because obviously not everyone is going to know the dolls mentioned above. That is it for now, I can't wait to see all of your replies, bye!

The Dollhouse / Winx Club Mattel Dolls?
« on: October 09, 2018, 07:25:57 PM »
Winx Club has been a series I've loved for a long time and a couple years ago I found out about the original dub and the line of dolls from Mattel. However, I noticed they're usually for sale at really high prices and I can't really find much English/American information on it, as in most of the ads and stuff are in another language. Were the first line (the Mattel line) sold heavily in countries that didn't speak English or is it just a coincidence that there is hardly ever English media on these dolls? Also why are they so expensive?

Any information will be helpful! Thank you :)

Off Topic / Advice for new relationship <3
« on: September 05, 2018, 06:08:18 PM »
Hiya! Um, I know asking for advice on the internet isn't always the best thing to do, but it can't hurt can it?
((thought I'd get that away before getting into the real topic for today))

To cut a long story short, I have been asked out by someone I really like. I told them I'd wait until the end of the month for us to officially start dating since I wanted to have him know me more and to know him more as well. Also to add context it is a Long Distance relationship. I've been in two relationships before, both successful, but it never hurts to have more advice!
So, it would e most appreciated if you guys could give me some advice and tips :) We are wanting to have a serious relationship also, if that helps.
Thank you everyone or your help in advance :)

Pony Corral / Favorite Pony Friend/Pretty Pal and also Opinions on them
« on: September 03, 2018, 10:19:29 AM »
Hiya! I was just looking through the poses tab on the MLP Wiki and went to the unique poses tab and found that there were actually a lot of pony friends/pretty pals...a lot more than I thought there were XD So I noticed that not a lot of people talk about them much (besides Baby Leafy) so I thought "Hmm, why not get everyone's opinion on these guys in one spot?".

Everyone can pick as many favorites as they want, or if they just really like one set in particular they can just pick that set. Ex. If I really liked Year Six's set of the Pony Friends and only that one then I could just say the Year Six set of Pony Friends. :)
Opinions, of course, are always welcomed. So if you didn't like the Pony Friend/Pretty Pals then just leave your grievances here. The only thing I ask is that you explain why. (I'm always curious to know!)

I'll start us off:
My favorite(s) ((yes I can't pick just one)) Creamsicle, Oakly, Cha Cha, Baby Wooly, and Cutesarus. The first four appeal to me because they are both the most equine and the prettiest while being equine. Cutesarus I like because, as the name implies, she is so cute!! (I actually like all of the pretty pal characters but Baby Wooly has to be my favorite of them all) I actually really like these sets and I thought they were a nice break from the usual pony formula ;) However, it would've been nice if all of them had a pony friend like the Pretty Pals or if they got the prototype human friends with the pony friends. But I like them as they are. Part of me is glad they didn't push the gimmick too much but part of me also wishes there were more.

The Dollhouse / Monster High Wiki/Real Quick Question about them
« on: September 03, 2018, 09:45:54 AM »
So does anyone know of a reliable site which is up to date with the Monster High doll releases? I need one so I can see all the different werecats released. If not, can someone please tell me all the different werecat characters? It doesn't have to be every single release (like I know Torlei had multiple releases), but just the characters. And if they only had one toy release/toy line exclusive please list them out too (Like the build-a-monster sets had one I'm 99.9% sure).
I know there's a monster high arena, but I feel like it'd be a waste to make an account on that site just to only use it once for this one question. If it's a problem, however, I will go and make an account on there.
Thank you everyone for all your help and replies!

Hello everyone! Lately I've been getting back into drawing, but I want to develop my own style. So, for this reason, I am going to be drawing human-ified ponies (I hope I worded that right XD). Sort of like EQ in concept were it's basically humans with multicolored hair and skin and everything like that (except no pony ears or the weird hair tail things and no cheek cutie marks). And of course, it'd be in my own style.
However, horns and possibly wings would still be there.
Currently, I'm going slow. So I'm working on only head down to about waist or maybe a bit higher. Later I will probably move to full bodied humanoid ponies.
So why exactly am I posting this? And why is there a G1 symbol?
Well, I need your help! I need help coming up with ponies to human-ify. I can't promise I'll be able to post all of them here or that I'll even finish it, but never fear because this is all free. So basically you have nothing to loose by requesting a pony for me to take my own interpretation on a human version of them.
My only requests are:
1. They must be a G1 pony
2. I would prefer them to be a female (however, I might be up for trying boy ponies)
It would also be nice if you could provide a picture, but if not that's fine as well :) If you would like me to give them anything specific, then you can say so in your request as well :D
I might do the requests out of order depending on what interests me more. But I will try to get everyone's requests done! This will go on until I can't draw ponies anymore. I would also like some critiques on them ^.^ (However due keep in mind that I'm young and art is more of a hobby to me...also I only have MS Paint as of right now XD)

You might also be asking "But why does the title say "and maybe also some ponies"? I have an answer for that too. I might, MIGHT, also be willing to draw some ponies as well. I have my pony style mostly down, but doing ponieswould be a nice break of pace for me.
So if you want a pony drawn as a pony, please specify that you want it pony drawn in your reply.

I hope I put this in the right Corral (I was debating on whether to put it in Adoptables or not, but I guess this would be the best one since no one is really adopting anything? It's more of just a fun art challenge for me), but if it's in the wrong one then let me know and I'll have it moved to the correct one. :)
Thank you everyone for your requests! And thank you for reading this! Have a nice day :D

Pony Corral / MO Majesty Vs. Playset Majesty
« on: August 25, 2018, 07:38:40 PM »
Hello everyone! I just found out that I guess the MO Majesty and Playset Majesty were both made differently (I originally thought MO Majesty was just extra stock or something like that), and the main thing is that Playset Majesty tends to be of lesser quality than MO Majesty. Also I guess Playset Majesty has a farther back hairline? Maybe? I don't know for sure.
So, if someone could provide pictures comparing the two and listing out the problems with Playset Majesty, that'd be wonderful! I've been wanting a Majesty for a while and I want to make sure I get the right one.  ^.^
Also, as a side note, does anyone know is MO Majesty came with the crown?
Anyway, thank you to anyone who can help me! All replies are appreciated :)

Pony Corral / Garden Wishes with pink hair???
« on: August 17, 2018, 05:01:18 PM »
I'm working on making the g3 unicorns in g4 style, and while I was reading Garden Wishes' on the My Little Wiki, and it says the streak in the middle of her mane is light pink. Every version of her I look at, however, look like they have white in their mane and even my own looks like it's white. I know the wiki gets a lot of stuff wrong, so are they just wrong or is most of the Garden Wishes hair faded to white???
Any information ASAP is appreciated!

Pony Corral / The Most Unique Colored Ponies or Most Unique in Concept
« on: August 14, 2018, 11:38:51 AM »
Hello everyone! Today I find myself trying to hear some of your guy's ideas for either the most unique colored ponies (colors you don't usually see on a pony) or just unique in concept (I.E. If they have a symbol out of the ordinary). I always love to look at some interesting ponies and that's why I'm asking all of you today! Please note that the colors can be colors like pink or purple if they are a unique shade of that color. For example while pink is a very common color for ponies, a de-flocked Hippity Hop would be acceptable due to her unique dark pink.
An example of a pony with a unique concept would be Port-O-Bella with her cool mushroom theme!
Ponies from any generation are allowed!

Pony Corral / Question about certain G4 Ponies
« on: August 09, 2018, 06:13:21 PM »
Okay so ponies I really want (Diamond Rose, Feathermay, Flitterheart, more) are all like really expensive on places like eBay. Is it because they were early line ponies or are they actually rare? Any information is helpful! Thank you!

Pony Brag Arena / Good thing I decided to wait on the Pearly Ponies
« on: August 09, 2018, 05:18:27 PM »
Those of you might recall a post I made about mabe a month ago asking whether or not two pearly ponies were rare or not as they were selling for I thnk $6 at my local dollar store.
I decided not to buy them yet, and good decision I made. While I was on vacation in July, my aunts and I went to big lots where I found BOTH of them for only $2.50. WHAT A STEAL!
Their hair is in decent condition for late g4 standards, only minimal frizz on Sea Swirl. No greasiness or anyting! That was lucky of me :D
They also had the Applejack, but I was just there for the new characters ;)

Pony Corral / One Quick Question About So-Soft Ponies
« on: July 29, 2018, 08:03:14 PM »
Hi everyone! I have a quick question about so-soft ponies brought up by something my aunt had told me.
Apparently, I was supposed to get more g1 ponies than I already got (which is a can of worms in and of itself), but after identifying one of the ponies I was supposed to get (Shady), my aunt said something that interested me. She told me the longer they had her [Shady] the more her flocking started turning white.
Is there a reason for this? Is this like a normal thing or was my aunt just remembering things wrong? I think it's because the flocking was becoming worn, but I have no idea due to 1) my limited knowledge on So-Softs and 2) not seeing the pony in question for myself.
Any information is helpful, thank you!  :)

Pony Corral / Rust Questions v2: Because this time I'm not chicken
« on: July 28, 2018, 09:16:28 PM »
I know, I know, those of you who have seen my past posts are probably thinking "Really? Another post talking about how much she thinks tail rust is icky and disgusting!?" ...Okay maybe not all of you but you guys are probably wondering what it's about now.
All of this week I was going antiquing. I had to face my fear of germs on old toys and ended up coming out a little bit braver than before. I didn't find anything super rare or good (and nothing pony related sadly :( ), I did face my fear of touching old, naked, dirty, TLC-needing barbies. (And I only screamed and tossed one in disgust and fear ONCE! ...Alright some of you are probably thinking that's a bit extreme but it was seriously disgusting and it didn't help that it was in a dusty, moldy basement and it was okay after wards because I lightly tossed it into the table in front of me as a knee-jerk reaction.)
OKAY ANYWAY, the point is I came out braver, and slightly more ready to work on my big ol' problem pony.
Yes everyone, my infamous Bridal Beauty with the possible hunk of rusty metal in her symbol.
I've been reading the MLP Preservation Project section about tail rust and been watching multiple YouTube videos about how to fix it in order to prep myself up, but I just have two questions to ask:
1. How bad is it for the pony to just do nothing at all about the tail rust? Just to keep her on display/stored away? Are there any negative affects to doing this?
2. How costly is it exactly to fix tail rust? Plus, will white hair/tinsel be stained from the rust, or will it be hard to get out but i can for sure get it out? Will it always just be there as a faint mark?

That is it for now. Hopefully you guys can help! Also I'm on my way home, so sorry if I don't reply immediately for a few days. ^^;

Pony Corral / Why do you like Collecting MOC Ponies?
« on: July 11, 2018, 04:28:13 PM »
As an outsider looking in, I'd like to know why you MOC collectors like collecting MOC ponies? Personally, I couldn't stand having a pony in her box, I'd just be thinking about how much I'd want to rip her out! However, I'm curious to know why you guys like it (and how you have enough will-power to keep her in the box/card)?
Personally I only have one MOC pony and she's only on her card because I already have one of her (and I'm having trouble keeping her in the box anyway!)
The only MIB Pony I'd ever buy would be a seapony and, I'm ashamed to admit it and you avid collectors would probably kill me, I'd take her out of the box. (I would like the closest experience I could get to a seapony who's never been in water and this is the only way I can think of getting one. I know you MIB collectors are probably cringing at the thought, but lucky for you guys I'd never have enough money to actually buy one, lol)
The reason I can think of is because they tend to be worth a lot of money or displaying reasons, but I'm sure there's tons of other reasons! So, enlighten me collectors. I am very curious to know.

Off Topic / Emergency Room and Thoughts
« on: July 07, 2018, 02:24:48 PM »
Hey everybody. Recently I had to go to the emergency room and ended up having to get a bunch of shots and like my blood drawn and a bunch of other stuff I wouldn't think I'd ever have to get until I was much older.
While I was sitting in the emergency room bed thingy, I started thinking to myself what exactly is the point of getting all this stuff I have. What am I going to do once I get all of the stuff I want to get and is it even worth it? Is it worth paying $200 for a lump of plastic with hair in it?
I know it's supposed to be worth it if it makes you happy, but then I just realize it's kind of selfish to spend all this money on myself.
The more I layed there the more I questioned what am I even going to do with my ponies when I eventually pass? Would I give them to family? Would I sell them? I'm not sure.
Along with my self reflection of all my possessions, I started to wonder at what point do you spent too much money on someone? I want to get someone really special to me this Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask stationary set (I would keep the Sailor Moon half and they'd get the Tuxedo Mask part), but it's over $70 and I don't know why. Is it because it's limited edition? Well fair enough but it feels like almost EVERYTHING Sailor Moon related, no matter how common, is always an arm and a leg. Even if it is located near me, or if it's more common than dirt.
I thought about other stuff for a while, until I got very sleepy and slept for a long while.
I don't know what the point of this post was really...maybe I just needed to really let my thoughts out somewhere or something, I don't know. Well, I'll try to be on tomorrow with hopefully a more optimistic topic about ponies or some other interest I have.
