I found an auction for a pony I need for a swap, the listing clearly stated more than once that items purchased within 48hrs of each other would get combined shipping and if the additional item ended later to contact the seller and they were willing to work out a buy-it-now.
I bid, and won the auction. Contacted the seller letting them know there was an additional accessory they had for auction that I was interested in and would like to purchase. I also placed an offer on that accessory at the starting bid price to help get their attention and so they would know which accessory it was I wanted. I never heard back.
2 days go by, ebay is prompting me to pay for the auction that I won, stating that I could be considered a nonpaying bidder after 48hrs since the auction ended. So I paid for the pony that I won and its shipping cost, hoping that if I won the accessory I could again contact the seller to combine shipping and drop/lower the shipping price listed for the accessory before the pony shipped out- it was over the weekend so I figured it'd be enough time.
I wont that auction too, contacted the seller to let them know that I had won both and wanted to combine.
No response, again. Now it's been 4 more days, and I've just been notified that my pony has shipped! Which to me means that the seller has completely ignored my messages about combining and I probably wont be able to get out of paying full shipping for the accessory (which I wouldn't have bought if I knew it'd be shipping separately)
2 days ago, when I got the invoice reminder from ebay for the accessory auction- it gave me the sellers mailing address- which I feel like has never happened before, but it was for the purpose of paying by check. I'm 99% certain that I recognize the seller's name as someone from here- I contacted the user here on the Arena that I'm thinking it is last night. They have not opened my message on here yet so Im not 100% sure, but if its the person Im thinking it is, they are a known and reputable MLP collector so Im really confused as to why this is such an issue... *EDIT TO ADD* I had my users wrong, I do recognize the name, but its not the Arena member I was thinking of
Is there anything else I can do? Is there some way for me to notify ebay that I was within my timeline to get combined shipping, prove I attempted to contact the seller multiple times so that I dont get listed as a nonpaying bidder? I ultimately dont want the item if I have to pay the full shipping cost (more than the price of the item...)

Is there currently any difference in the figures being released in the blind capsules vs the sets? I know there are pony, sea pony, and equestria girl variations. And that the item they come with/sit in can vary. But for example, is the pony Rarity any different from the blind capsule vs the nature set, school set, or sparkly dessert set? Like a different body pose or expression? The stock photos make them look like the same ponies are being reused and knowing Hasbro thats what I assume... Can anyone confirm? Before I start buying too many of these darn things!

My wife and I had the room set up previously, but it was an unfinished room that I had hung up sheets and thrown down a cheap rug as a temporary set up. We got some water damage, repaired the leak (fingers crossed), and took that as the opportunity to get the room professionally finished! Finishing the room we were able to also move in my giant "lovesac" previously shoved into another room where we never sat on it. So on another thread about G3 ponies, I mentioned adding Anchors Away to my wishlist immediatley upon getting an anchor tattoo. @Leave a Whisper asked to see a pic and mentioned there might have been a tattoo thread at one point- so Im starting one up now! My forearm was smaller then and it was adequitely sized. Before I got married last summer I went back to the same artist and had the sun & moon added to expand it b/c it then looked puny on my arm. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe anchor&fish I got last Novemeber. The scallop shell I got in...April?May? Got the shell along with a dear friend of mine who got the same exact stencil, just smaller w/less shading. I am on a life mission to get matching tattoos with as many folks I love as will participate! I also have plans for a dove above the anchor, a lighthouse down the backside of that arm, and a trident somewhere nearby. Show off your tattoos!!

So I DIY'd our pony room 2 years ago. (Old Thread: http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,381161.0.html) And now a leaky chimney causing us to take all that down gave us the opportunity to do a pony reno again! This time we hired professionals to get the job done right once and for all! Here's some pics I took right before disassembling everything: It'll be arranged *mostly* the same way when this is all done. Except there will be a seating nook that was previously storage and we'll finally debox those ponies since we have more acrylic shelves waiting to go up And here's a few pics of the room totally broken down from ponies, the very exciting new drywall from the other day, and the beginning of laminate flooring they started today!! The pros have estimated they'll be 100% done by Tuesday! My wife and I are going away for the weekend so we wont get to preview much of progress they make between now and then. But I am so excited, Im beside myself! Theres a lot of external stressors in my life and my new pony room will be the perfect respite!!

SOLD Spoiler I have a full set of the 6 35th Anniversary Collectors Pose ponies, mint in box. I would strongly prefer to sell them as a set. I am not looking to profit, just cover all associated costs. I paid $63.69 for the set of 6 (with tax) Shipping and PP fee's will be additional. Woohoo! Looks like Im the first brag post from the MLPfair! (This is my first fair- actually first convention ever!) Im spending tomorrow in Magic Kingdom so unfortunately wont be pony-ing any more after today. But! I am so thrilled with this haul!! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe morning was insane! I actually felt pretty bummed that I hadnt run around buying faster- because it seemed like thats what everyone else was doing. And if I put something down for a second someone else would immediately buy it. But after lunch I had much much better luck. The energy in the vendor hall had calmed down a lot and I bought 2x as many ponies (and for better prices) than I had in the morning. So it really was an overall success!! (My wife also wound up scoring a hoard of new baby ponies- her primary collection) My wife & I cosplayed as Lickity Split & Port-O-Bella. It was great fun to have so many people recognize and enjoy our looks. I purchased a pair of G4 items on Ebay that I havent seen make it to many stores yet, paid immediately.
The seller reached out to let me know shipping would be "Delayed" and when I asked for how long, the said they haven't received the items yet themselves. Im bothered that someone would list and sell something that they do not physically have- ESPECIALLY with out at least stating so in the description.
I want to give this person the benefit of the doubt, but Im not sure how long to wait..?
Their ebay is all MLP related so there's a chance this person is a member here as well, their ebay feedback is all positive so I want to give them a chance. I havent seen these items in any stores myself so its not really hurting me to wait..except I did already pay.

I know I saw a few posts in a different thread where folks collected some of these star trek figures. Im verrrry tempted to start collecting them, I love that there are so many accurate variants and the small size. My brother in law collects the small GI Joe figures and Ive always envied that collection but GI Joe just isnt my thing, Trek on the other hand.... lol
Plus I've slowed down my pony collecting, its always been in phases. Im going to the fair this year and will probably come back with a good haul, but I planned to take a break after that anyhow. And Im so addicted to the thrill of the hunt!
What do you all think?

I started logging the year imprinted on the hoof of my ponies into my collection spread sheet and I've noticed some inconsistencies from when I thought certain ponies were released.
For example, my Mainsale, Merriweather & Dancing Butterflies all have '84 stamped on their foot but I thought those ponies were released sometime between 1986-1988?
And my Love Token & Good Weather both say '87 when I thought they were '91?
Is there any logic to this?

Anyone know how tall the FIM collection canterlot castle is? Amazon says product height is 14" but Im assuming thats the box. Pic under spoiler
