Pony Corral / Extreme frizz?? Unsure of what to try next

So I recently got a Scoops! I've been wanting her for a while, and she's in such great shape too, just some dry frizzy hair. I've conditioned it and detangled it, a couple times now. Its much softer than it was but, the ends of her mane are crinkly and all squiggly. It doesn't look bad from a distance, but it still feels awful.
I have no idea if the boil method removes the squigglyness of the ends? Does it work? Or are there other methods?
I'm almost considering getting a Scoops with nice hair but an okay body and doing a transplant? (Of course the donor Scoops would be getting an alt rehair or something, I wouldn't leave the poor girl bald!)
But I want to avoid that hassle if possible.
