Tagged along to an antique mall this morning with my parents; no ponies, but I did find a Fashion Star Filly (Calla!) for under $2. Her hooves are a bit scuffed, and her mane and tail will do well with a wash and condition, but mostly she seems to be in great condition! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

I didn't see whether this had been mentioned, so I thought it worth posting for those of you who have Walgreen's in your area... Anyway, I stopped by a Walgreen's before coming home today, and they had loads of stuff on major clearance! I got several of those Girl Scout wafer biscuits (the Peanut Butter Pattie and Thin Mint kinds) for 29 cents each, and I also got these: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe Monster High Frightmare was only $1.29! They had a bunch of Flara Blaze, too, but I already have one of her, so I only got this one. They had a fair few of Flara, though, so if anyone else collects those and needs her, I wouldn't mind picking one up if they're still there later! They had a fair few left of the CMM Nurse Redheart - $2.99! I feel lucky they still had that old stock Nurse Redheart...I never picked her up when I first saw her when she was released, and regretted it ever since. She's such a precious looking pony! Her design always felt vaguely reminiscent of G1 Sundance to me. There's another Walgreen's near me, so I plan to check it before I go to the gym later and see if they have anything else good! ETA:So I checked another Walgreen's, but they didn't have ponies or MH on clearance, so maybe it's just some locations. I hope everyone else who checks has good luck!

What could be inside this tub??? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or login I've acquired a few ponies here and there during my hiatus, but since coming back to the Arena, I've browsed around more frequently, and recently saw a listing on a secondhand sales app - this large tub FULL of ponies! I quickly contacted the seller, and luckily, no one else had claimed them yet! I got 140 ponies plus a few ziploc bags of accessories for just $100! I took some really quick shots that I already posted to Instagram as I first went through them all, but I want to share them with yous, too, of course! I know the photos aren't great quality since it was late and I took them with my iPod, but if you happen to know a PC for any of them, feel free to chime in! A lot of them are being added to my herd, and some are going to my sister and her kids, but there are some that will need to be rehomed at some point. I'll make a separate PC post in the Corral another time with better shots of the ones for sale/trade eventually, but right now I'm more curious about the deal I got than anything else. It's been I think about a year since I was really around, so I figure I may as well re-introduce myself. I know there have been a lot of new members since I was here last! Life kind of got in the way and made me have to take a hiatus from actively collecting, so I took a hiatus from the forums as well, to help avoid temptation Anyway, I've been a lifelong MLP fan - got my first ponies back in the mid 1980s when I was very young, and never stopped loving them. I still have most of my childhood collection, and when G3 came around as the US reboot, I started collecting off and on again. When I was around the Arena last, I had begun an informative inventory blog for my collection, which is linked in my signature - check it out if you like! I only made a few posts, but I am excited to start it up again soon. As for me personally - I'm currently working customer service while I try to find a job in my field, and taking a financial hiatus from school. I got my undergraduate degree in anthropology with minors in linguistics and criminal justice, and now I'm three classes away from a graduate certificate in forensic death investigation. In addition to ponies, I also enjoy gaming and reading, and over the course of this summer, I've started running. I really love the Zombies, Run! app, and I'm a member of the Hogwarts Running Club. I've done so far three 5k runs for runDisney's virtual series, and I have several other virtual run events that I'm registered for and working toward. It has become a slight obsession. For those of you who are interested in pets, I have two cats, Lyra and Luna Flop, and I live with my parents currently - they have one small dog who is littler than my cats (Oh, and for those of you who remember the enormous haul of accessories I came into when I was around last - yes, all of them are still available! I will be slowly but surely listing them in the near future, so be on the lookout for those if you're interested in buying or trading )

I had no luck with my previous thread, but I have better photos of the ponies my friend sent me - he ended up letting me just have them as a Christmas gift, but wants to know a fair price for the lot, as he'd like to give his sister what she could have gotten for them. A fair few of them have seen better days, lol, so I'm not expecting it to be much, but I want to give him an accurate estimate of the lot's value. We've got some Ponyvilles... visitors can't see pics , please register or loginWhatever these are, lol (they're pretty cute, though - I haven't decided yet if I'm going to keep them or put them up for sale/trade later on. So yesterday afternoon, I checked the mail and found a notification card for a package - our mail carrier is lazy and won't get out of the truck if they're supposed to get a signature for something. This happens all the time. Anyway, so I went to the post office this morning and (in addition to some medication for my dad, lol) there was a small box for me from Sweet_Stuff! visitors can't see pics , please register or login(I was so excited, I didn't think to get a photo of deboxing until I'd already sliced open the tape seal, lol) visitors can't see pics , please register or loginI teared up when I opened the flaps and saw Sunbeam sitting there on top - she's a set completer for me! I now have ALL the Year 2 Unicorn & Pegasus ponies, which is my first completed set! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThe rest of it! Sunbeam has a little bit of symbol rub on one side, but the glitter on the other side is flawless! The base of her tail is a bit crunchy, lol, but nothing a nice deep condition won't fix I'm so happy to add her to my herd, her light aqua color is SO pretty! Buttons is really lovely, too - her flocking is to die for! It's only rubbed in a few teensy, unobtrusive spots. She can't stand very well, but that's not a surprise considering this pose seems to usually have that issue I'll just have to get her something small to prop underneath her raised hoof. Sweet_Stuff, thank you so much! This was such a kind and unexpected gesture! What a lovely way to start the year. [stickied 8/1/15 - kiwimlp ]unstickied 14/1/15

Went pony hunting this weekend, and had a little bit of luck - yesterday I found Medley, Glory, and one of those little seated baby Tara fakies. I already have Medley, though, so this one is going to my sister. Now that I have Glory, I only need Sunbeam to complete the Year 2 Unicorn & Pegasus ponies. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginThen today, I found a plush Blossom for $1! She will need a surface clean, but she doesn't have any kind of weird smoke or pet smell, so that's good. I was never really interested in the G1 plush, but now that I have seen one in person and realized how cute they actually are...I might need all of them, lol. Oops. visitors can't see pics , please register or login

My mother is kind of terrible at hints, so when she "nonchalantly" asked me last week if I had already gotten myself any of the MLP Snowbabies figures, I kind of figured that meant I was getting one of them for Christmas, lol. It turns out, though, that my parents bought me all three! They're quite cute in person, and bigger than I expected! I guess because I don't collect Snowbabies or pay attention to them in shops, I didn't realize the actual size of them, haha. If I were creative, I might try to figure a way to turn the babies into Spike, but I don't mind leaving them as is - I'd hate to accidentally ruin them, particularly as they're gifts. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginAlso, not MLP, but I went antiquing with my parents today for something to do, and found these two porcelain unicorns, different from the ones I found in another shop previously: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSo I guess I collect unicorns now, too. lol

I got hit by Big Bertha, but didn't realize why, so I had to dig around and find the signature rules thread - I wasn't able to comment there and couldn't find if there is a current signature thread, so I'm posting here just as an fyi. I didn't realize the weight was over; I tried deleting my ISO banner, but that didn't do anything, so I tried changing my png banner to a jpg, but that also did nothing to make the weight meet the accepted size. It wasn't showing up with its transparent background, anyway, so I just deleted all of it for now.

So I went through the accessories that were included in the G1 lot I got from its original owner, and it looks like there's some good stuff! I picked out the stuff I'm keeping or passing on to my sister, but I'm not sure what fair collector value would be for the stuff I'll be looking to pass on. Today, I bought a girl's childhood collection from her - originally she was asking $65 (USD), but she accepted my offer of $50. I couldn't believe my insane luck when I got the box home and was able to see who all I ended up with! Starting off small(ish)...I'm not sure what these came from, but they look like paper dolls? What makes this even more unbelievable for me is that my group of Twitter friends and I did a Secret Santa - I'd had a brief conversation with one of them before I went to the flea market last month, joking about hoping to find a $2 Mimic. We mostly all play tabletop games, so he thought I was talking about D&D Mimic. I showed him a photo of G1 Mimic from the wiki, and he asked me "well but can she change into a chest and punch adventurers in the face?" I told him she can do whatever she pleases, as she has magical unicorn powers. Anyway, he ended up being my Secret Santa: visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginMimic with Mimic. I actually cried when I opened her last night, I was so happy, but as my offer was accepted on the childhood collection lot last night as well, I wanted to wait and only post one brag, lol. He said when he was assigned me for Secret Santa, he knew he needed to get me this pony because of the conversation we'd had, and he included a D&D mini-figure of a treasure chest Mimic to go with her.
