« on: April 07, 2014, 10:58:28 AM »
I have a single flutter pony, Morning Glory, who is unfortunately missing her wings. I love her body shape though and want to get her replacement wings so I'd love to see all your flutters with and without wings <3

Price Check Archives / PC on Copper Glow
« on: April 03, 2014, 02:25:50 AM »
Copper Glow is a bit of a grail for me and I was wondering what a good price for her as a seller has popped up on eBay with all the glow unicorns and a silver swirl.  The starting bid is £7.50 and £3 postage and there is already a bid so I'm wondering is this a good price or should I hold out. She's got her eye gems and has no other flaws but comes with no accessories

But here's who I was really excited for! I've been drooling over beauty parlour Ivy for so long but not found one a reasonable enough price with her hair in good condition.  Look at that mane, she is so gorgeous!

She meets her cousin Magic Motion Ivy! Vaporeon lurks in the background.

I got Wedding carriage Skyskimmer, Tipsy Tulip and Secret Tale

Skyskimmer is in stunning condition and I think she's fighting Sweetberry for my favourite g2. Her mane is so lovely.

Tipsy Tulip is missing a couple of hair plugs and her tail doesn't twizzle but I've wanted her for ages, I love her blue stripe and her name is so cute

Secret Tale came out surprisingly white in this photo but she is yellowed. She has some marks in the plastic on her chest but she's so lovely all the same. I do want to give her a hair wash.

And my current G2 collection!  You can just see my flutter Morning Glory's hair peeking in the top and Snookums is still headless out of shot!

Pony Corral / Can anyone ID a childhood G3 for me?
« on: March 12, 2014, 12:08:26 PM »
Hello everyone!

When G3 was relatively new, I remember being bought a pony. She was silver and slightly sparkly, with a rainbow mane. Ever since I thought she was Rainbow Dash but looking around ID sites I can only find blue Rainbow Dashes, and my pony was very definitely silver. I remember her being huge in comparison to my G2 Light Heart, and I know she was definitely an official pony. I don't know her cutie mark or if she came with any accessories, but I know for definite she was silver and rainbow-haired.

Though I'm not planning to collect G3, it would be nice to have her back again. Could anyone help me here with IDing her?

Pony Corral / Newborn Twin head removal
« on: March 08, 2014, 03:13:27 AM »
Hey all, I need to get the head off my newborn twin Snookums to cure her tail rust but I've never done it before and it is being ridiculously stubborn. I looked at the preservation project site and no amount of tugging and squeezing did it so I boiled her and snipped away any bits of glue and still the head won't come off. Help please?

Pony Brag Arena / First brag (and a little restoration too)(pic heavy)
« on: March 05, 2014, 02:06:04 PM »
I know this won't seem like a brag to most but these are my first ponies since I joined the arena! I only had three before and am still waiting for my big G2 lot so coming home today to two lovely parcels really cheered me and I had to share!

My first snag was a really cool lot. While hunting for bargain G2 to restore I find a lot with a Lady Cupcake in brilliant condition for £1.50 with £4.10 postage.  Why the high postage?  She comes with G1 Newborn Twin Snookums, G1 flutter Morning Glory and a bunch of Lady Cupcake's accessories including her gold chest and rainbow with comb. All that's missing is one gold pot and her crown/necklace/shoes. I was really surprised to win and though I was happy to pay 5.60 for just Cupcake loose having her with 2 G1 and accessories was awesome! The G1 are very dirty and Morning Glory is missing her wings so that's where some restoration comes in! I'll post new pictures when I clean the girls up. Should I be careful washing Cupcake's tinsel?

My second brag is from the lovely Starshine here on the arena. I won her lovely Magic Motion Sweetberry and McDonald's Sweetberry and to my delight she surprised me with an extra - McDonald's Light Heart! After all the stress and misfortune I've had recently it was so lovely!  I love my new girls

She's called Rosie and is an Alicorn. I've not coloured her yet but shes blue and silver with very pale blonde mane and tail! Her cutie mark is a shooting star that curls round her leg and she has a star on her chest <3 I want to get her scanned tomorrow and coloured traditionally and digitally

Pony Corral / Minimising saddle sores
« on: March 02, 2014, 12:38:07 PM »
I've got a lovely G2 Morning Glory who came with her backpack and I love having her wear it but I am aware that G2 accessories can stain ponies like other gen ponywear can. Is there any way I can try to stop her getting saddle sores from her backpack? Should I take it off every few weeks or months?

She's had it on about three weeks now in my care but came with it on so probably much longer and has no marks when I checked today but I am a little worrisome. Can anyone share their ponywear and accessories tips?

Trader & Shipping Support / Paypal holding funds - a buyer needs help =(
« on: February 17, 2014, 05:25:24 AM »
I'm not sure if this is the right place, but I'm really disappointed and confused.

I won a job lot of 9 G2 ponies on Tuesday night, hoping to be able to restore them over this week, which I have off college. I paid immediately after the auction ended, and from my end, Paypal is telling me my payment is fine and it has gone through. I've paid for and even recieved other items since then, so I know my card is fine. I know this isn't my fault. It's been six days and I've heard nothing from the seller, so I contacted them asking if everything was okay and would the ponies be dispatched soon.

She replied that paypal had put my payment on hold and she was waiting for it to clear. I've never sold via ebay and only started buying last year, so I googled to find out what that meant. From what I can gather, it is no fault of mine, but the only three ways to resolve it is either leave positive feedback, wait 3 days after proof of delivery, or wait 21 days.

I'm not leaving positive feedback until my ponies arrive and I am happy with them. She isn't going to post my ponies until the payment is cleared. I feel I'm now stuck waiting 21 days for my ponies just to possibly be dispatched, and I don't want to hassle the seller by asking her to ship via ebay (which I think releases the shipping costs from the held payment) or post them out of her own pocket so I can leave positive feedback. I'm very nervous about buying and selling online as I'm very inexperienced and I've never had this happen before on a purchase, so I feel rather helpless. I don't want to bother the seller further, but I don't want to leave feedback without recieving my ponies, but equally I'm hugely disappointed to be waiting that long for ponies that could have easily arrived by now (and other ponies bought after have)

Furthermore, the seller only had one recent negative feedback when I won the ponies, and it wasn't on a pony lot and she had tons of positive feedback on other pony sales, so I felt pretty confident. Now I find she's got another negative feedback since I won the auction, both to do with items not arriving, and now I'm just very stressed and anxious about what should have been a really exciting purchase =(

I've seen lots of support on held payments for the seller, but nothing from the buyer's perspective, and I don't know what, if anything, I can do.

Pony Corral / My Little Pony: Friendship Gardens CD-ROM discussion!
« on: February 16, 2014, 02:31:22 PM »
I couldn't find a thread of this through a quick search so I apologise if this is already being discussed somewhere.

My first experience of My Little Pony was through my also first experience of games - the Friendship Gardens cd-rom. For the uninitiated, this was a PC game released in 1998 and featured 5 Gen 2 ponies - Ivy, Light Heart, Sweet Berry, Sundance/Sun Sparkle and Morning Glory. You could raise your own pony, who you named and chose her colours. You grew her food, brushed her hair, gave her medicine, taught her how to jump, put her to bed, and when she was brave enough, take her over the bridge to Friendship Gardens.

There you and her could play in Ivy's Salon, Bake with Sweet Berry or play games with Light Heart in their cottage, dance with Sundance in her Dance Studio or create pictures with Morning Glory in the Schoolhouse. When she had done all these things, she could go over the rainbow to the rest of Ponyland. You'd never see her again but apparently you could get postcards from her (I never had this happen to me, so I do not know for sure)

I loved this game to pieces and all its little details. I love the music, especially when your pony sleeps. I also love the little books in Light Heart's house telling you about the ponies and giving you colouring sheets of them. My bug bear with it was that those books showed Morning Glory as this beautiful peach pony with lilac hair, when her model in the game looked nothing like that, and on the cover was purple with pink hair! Even her toys are pink with purple hair, not peach and lilac. I think that disappointed me as a child.

Does anyone else remember this game? Share your memories of it here!

Adoptables / .:Gen 2 Adoptables:.~ OPEN ~ Pickup: Nence, Kittyberry
« on: February 16, 2014, 02:01:18 PM »
Reopened!

After the success of my G2 art thread I thought I would open up some adoptables. For the time being, I only have an Ivy-inspired base avaliable but Sweet Berry and Morning Glory esque bases as seen in my art thread will be avaliable soon! These are completely made by me with their art style heavily drawn from G2, because G2 is adorable.

.:Ivy Bases:.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

You can pick from the first set of eyes, inspired by G2 artwork, and the second set which is inspired by the G2 toys. Her bracelet is optional. These are bases 1 and 2 respectively.

.:Rules and Guidelines:.
  • I will happily do any body colour and pattern you can throw at me. Please be aware that regardless of where you are in the queue, simpler requests will be done before more complex ones. If I find it too difficult, you can request another pony.
  • I am not the world's best scratch spriter, so the same applies to cutie marks. I will do my very best but please understand I'm doing all this on a touchpad, not even a mouse, so more complex cutie marks may come out dodgy at best.
  • I can happily do two coloured and tri coloured hair, like Ivy seen above and other Gen 2 ponies like Light Heart. I can do different colours on the forelock, the three mane sections and the two tail sections. If you would like more colours than that or arranged differently, or gradient hair/dipped hair, please be patient with me. Like body colour, simpler requests will be done first.
  • Hasbro ponies or OC ponies are equally accepted.
  • If it is an OC pony, references are loved, even if they are only in the form of another adoptable. It will be very difficult for me to accurately represent your OC unless she's very simple if I don't have any form of reference. I don't even mind if you badly photoshop some hasbro artwork to show me, a visual guide is ten times better than a description.
  • Lastly, have fun, don't remove my credit (if you want something smaller, let me know) and please be patient with me. I wish I had endless time to sprite ponies, but unfortunately, I don't. Sometimes real life will get in the way, but I will try to keep everyone as updated as possible. I'm sure this is a board rule already, but don't hog the slots. I'll only do one pony per person at a time, and unless I'm sitting here requestless for weeks try to let other people go before you go again.

If you're OCD about the colour of your pony I am totally cool with accepting hex codes for the colour sections of the forum. You don't need to fill out the rest of the forum if you have a very good reference, but every detail helps.

Price Check Archives / PC on Tutti Frutti
« on: February 16, 2014, 09:14:32 AM »
I've just found my younger sister (somehow) owns a fairly decent condition Tutti Frutti. She could do with a hair condition and her symbols are faded (but still visible), but is in otherwise good condition. She's loose with nothing else from the birthday party pack. Out of curiosity, what could she be worth?
