I honestly never thought I would have plushies in my collection, I always thought when I started collecting MLP last September, that it would just be G1 (gazes fondly at all of the other Gen ponies in my herd  ). So there I was at a carboot sale, and I saw this fluffy pink leg sticking out of a huge box full of teddy bears- and who did I pull out only Cotton Candy  ! It was only when I showed her to members on the arena FB page that I confirmed she was even really MLP, like I said I know nothing about plushies  . She is just the perfect size and shape for hugging, I love her! She needs a wash and style, but for now, here's Cottoncandy visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Update! After fixing her loose wing and giving her a wash and style, here is Little Flitter now visitors can't see pics , please register or loginBigmylittleponyfan and myself decided to do a private pony swap- She advertised in the trade centre that she wanted a G3 pony in return for a G1 pony- I had a lovely spare Perriwinkle and a Breezie that I thought she might like, so I contacted her aaaaand---heres my lovely girl, Little Flitter- she still has her original wings! I've never had one of these little beauties before, and It's safe to say I am hooked on them now ^_^ Thank you bigmylittleponyfan for being an awesome trade partner, I hope your girls arrive safely! visitors can't see pics , please register or login

Hi all! I have a lovely G1 Italian Glory, who has been washed and everything but her body is a rather dull creamy colour instead of white, and I am thinking of sun fading her. I have never sun faded a pony before, let alone an Italian, so I am a little worried about how to proceed- with their painted symbols and eyes, what is safe to paint over them so they won't fade too, that I can easily remove afterwards? For anyone out there hoping to re-curl those tail streamers on B-day pony, here's what I did. I washed B-day as I would any other, the usual shampoo and conditioner in the hair and style, and carefully twisted each streamer around a pencil, keeping the ends in place with a very tiny piece of tape (very easy to remove). I let that sit overnight, with a hair scrunchie around her neck to keep the pencils where I wanted them (so the whole ribbon will curl even near the root of the tail). Then the next day, I got the hairdrier and focused the heat over the streamers, making sure to get them nice and warm. Once I did that, I popped her on my windowsill for about two minutes in the breeze, to cool her down. Then just carefully remove the tape/pencils, and voila- that worked! I've wondered about this, when you see faded ponies that are otherwise pristine, is it a done thing to re-dye them to get back their original "skin" colour? How is this done and is there a specific type of colouring used? I would love to know. I'm not hugely "in" to restoration but I would like to know more ^_^
