It's been so long since we've had a swap! Actually, last year, I believe we only had the three I helped run: Literature and Lore, Official Halloween, and Official Winter Holiday Swap. We haven't had any applications yet this year. Before you know it, it will be time for the Halloween swap, but there is still time for swaps before people get wrapped into that. What would you want to see? Have you been thinking of submitting something?

I'm back from a convention, and I had a blast cosplaying and presenting on customs! I came across a pattern I wasn't familiar with; people using Crayola Model Magic to sculpt things on customs. I had never tried it before and I don't recall it being in the category of a do or a don't. The only thing I can recall is a vague memory of someone claiming it wasn't durable enough and didn't adhere well. Someone at the con exclusively worked with it and reported he didn't have to sand and reported the nail polish he used doesn't have issues with the material. His customs were pretty nice looking and affordable. What has been your experience? Anyone know of it being a good or bad idea in the long term?

I did a very fun private army swap with Jennifer2004. She collects Bow Tie, and I had so much fun imagining her in different forms. I definitely want to do princess and TAF variants of other ponies in the future, and I also would love to army swap again one day! I'm looking to quickly purchase G1 Posey, Firefly, Twilight, Surprise, and Glory.
I'm not picky about condition, but prefer uncut hair and marks not bad enough to be considered bait. What I am picky about is price and time. I am hoping to have them by July 14th and prefer to pay around $30 total, but I'm willing to discuss. I would like to have them as an educational support for a History of My Little Pony panel, so I am on time and financial constraints. Let me know if you can help me out with any of the five.
I also would be interested in G3 Rainbow Dash, Pinkie Pie, and Twilight Twinkle, but mostly as an aside to if you already have one or more of the G1s I'm looking for.

Too often we have a bait laying around, thinking someone might use it, only end up thinking it might not be worth the time to post it in the For Sale or For Trade threads. Too often we wish we had a certain bait, only to find there are no postings, and only to feel that it might not be worth the time to create a Wanted thread
So here we are! What baits are you looking for? And is there a specific bait that you would like to sell, trade, or be rid of?

We're looking at ways to bring some extra energy and interest! There are two ways you might be able to help us: I'm revamping the "Custom information, tutorials and where to buy..." stickied thread in Customs. Some of the websites were locked, dead, or have only broken Photobucket images, so I have removed them and updated others. If I have removed your tutorial, please let me know, and I can readd it when links or images are accessible. If you have a tutorial or thread you would like me to add, let me know and I would love to give the thread more depth. Also, please feel free to let me know if there is anything I can do to make the tread easy to read or access. The other way you might be able to help? Well, it has been so long since a Custom Swap. I think there were only maybe three or four last year, and that's including the official swaps. There are requirements to be a swap host, but if you meet them and have an idea to run a swap, don't hesitate to ask us or to create a thread in Swap Talk about gathering interest from members. Quite a while ago, you folks voted on which unfinished custom I should complete, and G4 Mimic won. Next up is G4 Seapony Sand Dollar, but I wanted to finally post what you all have motivated me to complete! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginI think if I did her again, I might sand off the tongue to get it more like the G1 rather than paint the mouth details, but I think I like her! For the Holiday Custom swap, my box arrived, so I am able to post him as well. Aflame talked about loving the food and warmth of the season, and at first I had a lot of struggle thinking of what would be just right. Then I realized the Ghost of Christmas present seemed like a great fit! I started to make a robe, but it was a bit overwhelming to the look with his beard, curly hair, and holly wreath already taking so much of this space up. I created this lovely gal for the 2017 Halloween Swap. When I saw Okami_Amaterasu's favorite Halloween things, it was such a hard choice, but I so love the way Nightmare Rarity looks, I thought I had to give it a try. She is made from a G4 reboot Celestia; Sculpey was used to fill the area from the removed wings. Hair is dyed (by the seller/farmer) mohair and Blizzard DollyHair, rooted. Hair does have some hexagon pieces of glitter added. Paint is in acrylics, variety of standard brands.

I got away from customizing for several months due to a stressful move. After that, the Halloween festival and community events pulled my creative energies away. The Halloween Custom Swap has me reenergized, and now I need to decide what project to get into next. I recently started using the G4 reboot ponies for customizing due to their more dynamic poses. I've got four partly finished projects in the works; what do you think I should do next?
