I have some overdue brags that I really wanted to post... I've been winding down buying ponies as the fair is quickly coming up, and so these gals were like my last major purchases/trades as of late... My first super exciting, most awesome Columbian pony ever arrived!! Baby Bluebelle I assume (?) with pink hair (well, kind of coral) and her crazy Columbian eyes. I don't know how Love Story evaded me for so long, she's my second favorite in the set - and she's finally here to join the group! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd one other little bit of awesome, I finally was able to snag some of those lovely little pony books from overseas as well, I've never had them but drooled over them for so long, and finally got some for myself! Hey all, I need some help with my Party Gift Pack/Birthday Pack accessories... I'm trying to figure out what I need for my Tutti Frutti set...  Somewhere along the way I picked up that there was a yellow blower, and darker green blower, that did not come with the US sets. Now I have the wiki photos which show her with what I can see as 4 cups? And 4 blowers, but none of the MIB photos on the wiki show the yellow blower. And on LadyTwilight's page, it's showing that the only differences between the accessories are that it was a darker green and yellow blower versus the normal colors, but this is not what the Wiki MIB photo shows at all. So, was there a difference between the Euro release Tutti and UK? Wasn't there a difference in like, how her mane lays on her body?  I seriously am so confused right now, lol... I am surrounded by cake and plates and blowers and I don't know what they all go to!!  Also, some people show photos with 6 plates, some with 4, some with 5 invitations, some with 4, or 6... How many paper invitations were there with her? Am I correct that the balloon for Tutti was a bit darker green than the balloon for the US Party Gift Pack? Does Tutti have a sticker? So anyway, am I confused as to what the darker green and yellow blowers belong to? Basically, if I was a stickler for accessories (which I am), how many -different- sets of Party accessories are there? Even if the ponies were the same? I'm just getting super confused, lol  I really appreciate any insight. I'm still checking other sites, been on Ghost of the Doll and a few others but, I'm basically getting the same amount of info... unless I'm missing something major! Thanks!

I wanted to ask the Nirvana community on their opinions on dealing with Greek ponies... moreso in the sense that, many of the Greek ponies that are say, readily available on eBay or the Arena may have bleeding/bled out symbols, or chopped hair, or missing tails. Now, what I wanted to ask is... what would you do to restore these ponies, if anything? -Would you ever think about retouching the symbol? -What about rehairing the mane? -Any special idea about replacing a tail other than using a donor tail from another MLP if possible? I'm looking for advice as I've wanted to expand my Greek herd but, many of the ones who would potentially be in my price range would need a bit of TLC. More likely than not, if a perfect Mint one ever came across and I could afford it, yes I would sell it, but of course, I -ALWAYS- disclose any work done like repainting or rehairing or replacing a tail (for a Nirvana). -How would restoration affect the value? ---- Lets say only restoring the hair, ignoring the symbol issues. Thank you all for your opinions and advice! I appreciate it and hope my poor little Cotton Candy and Moonstone can soon have a new friend!

So, I have two birthday related brags. One, I am so embarrassed because I don't know who this came from /even though the return address is SO FAMILIAR TO MEEEEEE/ it's killing me and I feel so awful for not being able to say THANK YOU to this person specifically!!  But this pony was the ONLY PONY THING I got for my 30th birthday, which, all in all, was a pretty crappy birthday (not to do with ponies or anything, to do with... life) and so this came on Monday which was my actual birthday and... it really just brightened my day beyond belief! MODIFICATION!!! My LOVELY Moonbeam is from Gabumon!! Thank you SO SO much!! It's She-Ra Crystal Moonbeam! One of the ones I was missing too! So awesome, so many thank yous!!! I am so sorry I'm such a terrible address/name/person!!  visitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnd then, I finally was lucky enough to purchase one of Ambar's customs... She came a few days after my birthday but is so stunningly beautiful in real life... Okay so I haven't been buying off eBay much lately, not because of anything in particular, but not much has been drawing my attention. Anyway, the other week I lucked out on a small lot with some ponies that... were not "bait" condition in the auction, but some of them did have cancer marks. None of them really had a ton wrong with them, and what I saw in the multiple auction photos was "okay by me". I mean, I'm a rehairer and a customizer, so if worse came to worst I could always use them for that purpose - BUT from what I was buying I was not planning on using them for these purposes. SO. I got them today. Wonderful. They were wrapped in newspaper. Now the ponies all have ink stains from the newspaper on their bodies. Three of the ponies are white ponies. It's only NOT obvious on the single, darker purple pony. On the pink one, also obvious. I know for a fact that some of that might come off, but I also know that sometimes it will NOT come off. I don't want to go ahead and try to clean them yet because I want to know... some advice on what to do. I do not want to send these ponies back. It's a hassle for me... and a bummer. But I am really disappointed. Should I contact the seller by message and bring this up? Should I leave some sort of... different kind of feedback? Should I try to clean them first? At this point I don't know what to do. I'm disappointed. This person has an "mlp" themed username and over 200 feedbacks, how is it possible they're shipping ponies loose in newspaper?! I just... die inside when I open a box to see that...  Anyway, any advice on how you'd handle the situation would be appreciated!

Just a little simple 'nother custom from haha She started as Sundance, with a cut neck seam. She as turned into Port-o-Bella, and her mane and tail were all made from recycled original G1 hair, which gives her that "aged" look. Because her neck seam was kinda funky, I wove a pretty little ribbon around it and adorned it with a gem, just for some zazz. visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginAnyway, she's simple (again, like my customs are... ) But I think she turned out cute! Okay so, I have had success in soaking a pony in a hydrogen peroxide solution diluted with water, in a container in the sun, in order to whiten a body. Butttttttt that pony was a bait, with no symbols, no eyes, and no mane or tail. I've also been reading as many restoration tutorials that mention Hydrogen peroxide as I can find, but usually the details are rather limited, or not specifically how I plan on trying to use h2o2. Now I have another pony, specifically a Rainbow Starshine who I desperately want to try to whiten, even though most of me believes that it might be a lost cause. I don't want to remove her hair if possible (I mean, tail, yes I can remove her tail) - and I don't much mind what happens to her symbols because she's in such poor shape that, I might end up retouching them. My general hope was to be able to use a h2o2 bath like I did for the other bait... But I have questions!  The hair is the biggest thing, I just don't want to have to put any extra money into her by rehairing her if I kill her hair. I'm not as concerned about it feeling really brittle afterwards because I know how to deal with that issue, but will it bleach out any of the hair colors if left in the sun? The pink, the yellow, blue or green? Is there a better thing I could potentially use to whiten this Starshine? I've also read certain things about a diluted bleach solution but that chemical -seems- too harsh for my taste. She will not whiten with typical surface cleaning, she definitely needs like, a big-time soak. What about OxyClean? Thanks everyone!

I haven't bragged in a while, but I have picked up some random "YAYs!" for my collection recently... First just to start off with this past weekends flea market finds - where, if I find anything MLP that's not overpriced or covered in bite marks/ink marks, I'm pretty happy... I came home with 6 G3s, a DG baby, a BB (sadly no card...), a little Pinkie from...a book I think? and a G2 McDonalds pony that was free because "it was a fakie" (This is pre-spa, don't judge, haha ) visitors can't see pics , please register or login....and I also came home with my... like new favorite random horse EVER.... my new HORSEZILLA! visitors can't see pics , please register or loginSadly, I did not find G1 Peachy at the flea, she's just in the photo for size comparison. And Goldilocks is just photobombing. So, for my "real" brags about my G1s... first, I finally completed my MOUNTAIN BOYS!! Still need some of their brushes... (and stickers? LOL yeah right...) and probably upgrades to some of them, but who cares, right?! Well, that was PERFECT for me because I am totally a "single fish in a tank" person, my last was an Oscar who was 14" and he also would kill almost anything. So, I went and "adopted" him, and actually ended up with two fish, as he apparently had a "friend" Killifish who he will NOT eat, and so, I ended up with both of them. They're doing very well in their new home and I am excited to be their new fish mommy. Hey guys! Took me a while to... share this guy, as I'm pretty intimidated by how amazing all the artists here are... but I wanted to share my newest custom... He started out as a Sweetheart Sister (Lovin' Kisses) who had 3/4 legs chewed up and missing most of both of her ears, which forced me to do my first "major sculpting" in a while. I decided to turn him into a "male" by adding fur to the feet, and remaking his ears. He was then given an FBR in bright dark blue, symbol of Fleur de lis painted, and rehaired in a blend of red/orange hair. If he looks familiar, that makes me so happy, because this bro - who I've now called a Bigheart Brother instead of Sweetheart Sister - is the super awesome LANCER from the Tales series!! Okay I really appreciate everyone who ever posted a clay sculpted wing tutorial, as they are SO impressive and I still have yet to master them completely... HOWEVER, I now have a new project that I'd love to try and tackle, and it is going to require me to create wings that are probably... 12-14" in length. Each wing 12-14" in length, maybe 4" at widest? That's just a guess at this point because I have to sketch it out to see how big and what I need... but... I don't know how to like - scale up the wing tutorials I've seen... I need some advice on the materials and ways to sculpt something that would end up being so large and so heavy? I'd like to sculpt them so I can paint them easily, so I'm probably not making the really neat like "film" type wings, I'm going for "bird wing/pegasus wing" look. Can anyone recommend some beefy materials that I could use to build a base and how to... start scaling up on the sculpting? Should I do a base, bake it, do feathers on one side, bake 'em, etc? Do it all at once? Ahhh So overwhelming! But if I can learn, it can make my vision come to life!! I'm sorry if this doesn't make sense I just have no idea how to progress with a big sculpt project, I haven't really done anything so... intense since like, high school art class. So, it's been a while. Thank you all for anything you can help me with!

I opened up a Sundance that I got recently, and the first thing I noticed was that she was... er... "leaking sticky". Yep, that's right. Though there was nothing very visible on the inside of her body that looked like staining. She was badly discolored all over but, anyway. Here's the weird thing... I pulled out her tail and I see this? visitors can't see pics , please register or loginvisitors can't see pics , please register or loginIt's like this... weird green "glue" - its ridiculously sticky. And the weirder thing is, there's none of it on the side of the washer that would've touched her body, it's on the "backside" of the washer. So... does anyone have any idea what this is? I've never seen this type of substance before...

I had a nice pony mail day the other day... and I just wanted to share...  visitors can't see pics , please register or loginA friend of mine that I hadn't talked to in forever spoiled the heck out of me ( and won't give me hints as to what I could potentially thank her with...grrr you! ) when I got Sunburst and Baby Splash in the mail! Those two are the start of a new "family" in my herd... Mr. Sunburst is a single dad right now, looking for Mrs. Right but taking good care of Baby Splash! Then I got this amazing custom from gotbunny - Sandune! Okay sorry for the semi junk photo - I had some questions about these Pony Jewellery sets First of all, they came with one of each shape barrette - correct? So I know I'm missing like all the butterfly shaped ones... etc. But I wanted to know - was there certain colored ones that came with the certain specific boxes? Okay I am not the biggest customizer out there but I am really loving how each time I do something, I think my skills improve (thank you to all of you who have given me the ole "Practice makes Perfect" pep talk! ) But my friend loved the way I was rehairing ponies and whatnot, and he and I met while we were both going to school at Purdue University. He was working on his BS, I was working on my MS... so it's his Alma mater and he bleeds black and gold, ya know? So he asked me to make him a pony for Purdue, and here is what I came up with...
