While I was taking a nap with my son (still recovering from my tonsillectomy), my husband stopped by Goodwill and found these old gals to bring home to me. I now have a Firefly, Glory, and Moondancer. And he only paid $3.

Hair is still in great condition and just needs a quick wash. Very little markings or smudging of the symbols. I say he did a great job!

I'm getting mine out this coming Monday. So just to get a better idea of what I am getting into, how many of y'all have had your tonsils removed? How was recovery?

Here is the custom pony I made for xSexyWafflesx. She wanted something simple and gory and this is what I came up with. Her pony is at the point of becoming undead, hence the normal eye that is left.

Here is the rundown:
>Painted with acrylics and sealed.
>Rehaired with Dollyhair Black Magick and Ultraviolet.
>Sculped parts done with Sculpey.
>Bandages are actually a scrubby yarn I found at Michaels.
>Stick crutch is an actual stick I found in my yard.

And since xSexyWafflesx wanted zombie stuff as extras, I found some and added some 3D stickers, skull beads, and a candy corn themed notepad/pen set.

Well first off, I now have my "gotta do a peacock custom" out of the way.

After looking at Saja's collection of peacock customs that she had posted here, I decided to go away from the traditional body colors and go with a honey brown like a peahen. Her hair is in the order of front to back, After Midnight (blue), Pumpkin Spice (orange-brown), Chocolate Pudding (brown), Deady Poison (green/violet), and Black Magick. The hair was dividing up where the outer sections were braided and the inner sections pinned up with the pearlized pins.

For the cutie mark, I found this wonderful peacock pendant. I had to carve a bit into the leg to get the pendant to fit and then accented it with some yellow-green and yellow Swarovski Elements (as well as around the eyes).

As for the clothing, I crocheted the little shoes, hat, and the base of the dress. Peacock feathers were used to make the dress train and accent the hat. The necklace was handmade as well.

So here you have it! My first peacock pony and made for the wonderful Saja.

Since I am participating in Doombunnies' Zombie Swap, I figured I would get some practice in before I started experimenting with my partner's pony and here is the result!

Done with Sculpey clay, acrylic paint, glue, and Dollyhair colors Pumpkin Spice and Chocolate Pudding. The bandages are from a yarn I picked up at the craft store to make cleaning scrubbies.

This gal has already found a new home with a good friend of mine that loves horses and zombies (and because of this might join our fandom)!

The hair is a mix of starlight, white witch, and sunlight. The helmet and aegis are crocheted. The little owl is a Littlest Pet Shop owl painted to be like Bubo from the original "Clash of the Titans."


For her symbol, it is a Medusa-clad shield with a spear and olive branch.


Not much else to say except that I had a blast trying to meld a bunch of aspects of Athena into one pony!
