The Avatar Exchange! I am going to try one more round, and based on participation this determines if this whole thing continues past this round. So ... there you go. Basically, this works much like the ATC swap, with the exception of mailing - whether your artwork is traditional or digital, it will all be delivered here! Each round you'll get a secret partner (who you will keep secret until you reveal the avatar) and will have three weeks to deliver an avatar based on your partner's form. Guidelines:
-You should deliver two versions of your icon: a 150x150 version for use here at the Arena (under 60k, please) and a larger, un-cropped version. If you do pixel ponies, the second can be waived as a larger version may not exist.
-If you have a current adoptable, please do not use the lines from it to complete this trade. On that note, you should only use original (by you) artwork only, please.
-Please deliver on time. If you have not delivered on time for the round, your ability to participate in future exchanges will be suspended until you make up your part.
-Artwork should abide by Arena standards of content, of course.
-Please don't use DeviantArt to link to reference pictures or host your final avatar. Sometimes DA messes up and you can't view the image. Try a free service somewhere instead, please.
-Your sign-up post should contain the word cheer somewhere in order to signify to me that you've read the rules.
-Do not reveal your partner before you're done! If you have any questions, please message me and I can PM your partner.
-Post your finished avatar to this thread when you are finished. You may post the avatar up to three days before the deadline, but no earlier, please.

The way this game works is simple.
How it's played:
Something must be inserted to the vending machine, of course, for it to work. I will be inserting the first quarter. Then the next user will tell me what I get from the vending machine. Then it is that user's opportunity to insert something (it can be anything, not just a quarter!) The next user tells you what you get and inserts something. And on and on. Forever.
Example!
Me: I insert a quarter into the vending machine.
Member 1: You get a bucket of chicken.
Member 1 still: I insert some gravy into the vending machine.
Member 2: You get a bunch of caterpillars.
Member 2 still: I insert an American Express card with an unlimited balance into the vending machine.
Get it? Remember to keep it clean, but also the more absurd and random the better!
I'll get the ball rolling.

 Valentine's Day Art Contest! I am proud to announce this year's Arena Valentine's Day Art Contest! This will be a fan-favorite competition. Entries will be voted on by the community, and there are prizes for the winners in each category! The three categories of the Valentine's Day Art Contest include: -G1 and G4 pony couples: exactly what it sounds like. A mixed-gen couple (any two ponies!)
-Pony wedding: This may be from wedding sets, G1 through G4.
-Chocolate!: Don't want to draw love? Draw something chocolate-themed; after all, it's the REAL reason behind the holiday! -For each category, you are allowed to submit one piece. You may enter one piece in each category if you wish, or just one piece in one category, or one piece for a couple of them - however you wish, just one piece per category. -All artwork must be original. Do not use vectors and/or line work which were not created by you, and do not trace other pieces. If we notice it, your piece is disqualified. -As you probably already figured, your pieces should be Arena appropriate content-wise. -Both traditional and digital pieces are accepted. No preference will be given for one media over the other. -Submissions must be no less than 400x400 pixels, and no greater than 2000x2000. Please size accordingly. Save in a high enough resolution to give your work clarity, but not unnecessarily high to create a heavy, cumbersome file. -Final submissions should be sent to me via PM by the deadline date. I will upload them to an online album, but I will not use them in any other way without your consent. -Do not leak finished pieces before the submission deadline! You may post teasers if you wish, but don't give the whole image away. If in doubt, ask the contest organizer. Please put teasers under spoiler tags. -Deadline for finished submissions is Wednesday, February 13th at 9:00 PM EST. Voting will begin immediately following the deadline and last until Sunday, February 17th at 9:00 PM EST. I'm totally hooked on this game, but I need to add some friends! It's not on Android yet, but it's available on iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch. It's good clean fun with fighting and capturing cats - think Pokemon in a vague sense. It doesn't require in-app purchase to play (totally easy to get through the game without them) and the graphics are so cute.
