The Dollhouse / Interest Check: Journey Girls (AG size) clothes?
« on: September 09, 2016, 10:49:36 AM »
I was browsing around TRU's website, looking at clearance stuff, and I found this outfit pack for TRU's version of American Girl.

The only thing even close to AG size that I collect are Disney Princess toddler dolls, and I usually keep them in their original outfits. However, I am working on a custom one that'll need a re-dress, and one of the outfits in this pack looks like it'd work really well for the character I'm doing. I don't really want to pay $30 when I just want a few pieces, though. So I thought I'd see if anyone was interested in splitting it with me. :)

I want the black/dark blue vest, the red t-shirt under it, the plain black leggings, possibly the blue pants, and possibly the black shoes. Everything else I'd be looking to pass along. After tax and everything, the price of the pack breaks down to $2.50 per piece, so I'd only be looking to get  that + shipping.

Alternatively, if anyone has and is looking to sell the pieces I mentioned for about $2.50 a piece, I'd be very interested!

The Dollhouse / Disney Princess toddler dolls?
« on: July 31, 2016, 07:23:20 PM »
Does anyone know anything about the Disney Princess toddler dolls you can get at Walmart/Target? The ones like this Cinderella, with inset "reflection" eyes; I'm not sure who makes them...

Anyway; I found some videos on Youtube where someone made custom toddler dolls, and since then I've kinda been tossing around the idea of customizing some into Dipper and Mabel from Gravity Falls.

The dolls being $20 each has put me off the project, but my Walmart has the dolls on sale for $9 right now so I'm taking the fact that I could get both base dolls for what I'd normally pay for one as a sign to go for it. XD But I have a couple questions before I jump into anything.

I believe the hair is nylon, though it feels different from pony nylon. Would it take dye at all? Belle is the only doll that comes pre-made with the right hair color (and length, for Mabel), but I'm not sure her expression fits Dipper/Mabel so I was wondering if I could dye someone else to have the right color. I don't want to reroot because the heads are large and rather hard.

Does anyone know of any doll lines that can share clothes with the Princesses? I've never sewed (beyond small repairs) before, so I'd prefer to find ready-made stuff if I can. Especially a hat for Dipper; I probably *could* sew everything else if I had to, but I think a hat would be beyond me. XD

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Any interest in Pogs/Milkcaps?
« on: May 21, 2016, 03:17:55 PM »
I have no clue if this belongs here or in Toy Box; I apologize if I put it in the wrong spot!

Anyway, I found a bunch of Pogs/Milkcaps (not sure which is the proper name) in a box of stuff I bought at a yard sale, and  I'm wondering if they're worth anything. :) I haven't really looked through them yet, but when I bagged them up I noticed some that seem to be movie tie-ins; The Lion King, The Swan Princess, Lassie, etc.

Pony Corral / Sparkle Baby Firefly ; "safe" to bait?
« on: May 20, 2016, 01:52:39 PM »
I found a G1 pony at a yard sale today; Sparkle Baby Firefly! :newpony: She's my second-ever G1 "wild" pony find!

Anyway... Her body and symbol are in really nice shape, but her hair is very frizzy and her eyes are pretty scuffed up. So I was thinking about rehairing her (probably in an alternate color) and repainting her eyes.

Is she okay to "bait"? I did look her up and she doesn't seem to go for more than $5 when in great shape. I know it's ultimately "my pony, my choice", but I just want to double-check that she's not sought-after or valuable before I do anything with her.

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Anyone know of a forum for Pokemon toys?
« on: May 19, 2016, 03:45:27 PM »
Does anyone know of a Pokemon forum that's similar to the Arena? I have a bunch of Pokemon stuff that I'm thinking of selling, but I'd like to get a better idea of what I have/what it's worth before I list it.

I'm a Pokemon fan myself, so I'm not *totally* clueless; I know what Pokemon/character everything I have features, and all that good stuff. But as far as what's actually worth something I'm lost. XD

I'm a long-time garage-sale girl and purveyor of fine "stuff", and as it's gotten to the point where I can barely see my floor, I've decided it's time to downsize the stash a bit. XD

--- F.A.Q. ---
Feedback
In addition to my Arena feedback, you can also check my eBay feedback; I sold there for years before I got sick of their fees. My eBay ID is the same as my Arena ID.

In the interest of full disclosure: my eBay account has been restricted due to "poor seller performance"; I had one buyer that was a bit of a buttmunch, and since I was only selling a handful of items a year my star rating dipped below what eBay deems acceptable. I have tried to restore my selling privileges, but it looks like I am permanently restricted from selling there.
Holding Items
I don't mind holding something for a few days; believe me, I know the feeling of finding something I want/need but not having the money right then.

But at the same time, I've had issues doing holds on other sites; it seems like nine times out of ten, the buyer leaves me hanging. So I'm going to limit holds to 72 hours. I will consider longer holds if you can give a date/time you'd have the money.
Shipping Costs
Unless noted, the prices I have listed DON'T include shipping; please ask for a quote! I charge actual shipping/tracking cost + packing supplies, rounded up to the nearest dollar.

Since most of the stuff I sell is rather small, my "default" is to ship in a padded envelope. I am more than happy to use a box if requested, though, so if you prefer a box just let me know when asking for a quote.

For US packages, I can ship via Priority or First Class, whichever you prefer. ^_^

For international packages, I much prefer to ship via Priority because it's trackable; so many horror stories lately with untracked packages. That said, I am not opposed to shipping via a cheaper method, depending on the item (and the buyer's feedback rating). So feel free to ask.
Shipping/Handling Time
I *try* to get things mailed out quickly, and usually do get them sent out within two to three days. That said, my schedule is a bit hectic, so to be on the safe side I'm going to say that I ship within a week of receiving payment.
Payment Methods
Paypal is my preferred payment method. I prefer a minimum order of $5 (before shipping) due to the fees, but I'm happy to work with you for smaller orders too.

I will also happily accept money orders from US buyers. Please note, though, that if you pay via money order your item will not be shipped until the money order is received.

If you have any questions that I didn't cover here, please feel free to PM me!

-- Allergy Alert --
I have several cats (mixed breeds, both long- and short-haired) and a dog (a Husky/Malamute mix), all of whom like to "help" with my various collections, so there is a strong likelihood of items purchased from me having cat/dog hair or dander on them. And unfortunately, my items do NOT come from a smoke-free home.

If there's anything besides pets/smoke that is a concern to you, please feel free to PM me and I can let you know if the item you're interested in has been exposed to whatever your concern is while in my possession. Please note, though, that 90% of the stuff I sell came to me secondhand, and I have no clue what it might have been exposed to prior to my getting it.

--- On to the Sales! ---

Rather than list things out, I'm just going to link to my Flickr albums; I've taken pictures of everything that I'm selling. Because I'm on a bit of a listing spree, I've only taken one picture per item; if you need additional pictures of anything, don't hesitate to ask! ^_^

A quick note; I've been having some trouble with my Flickr not displaying albums when you click the direct link; if they're not working for you, try going to my album index. They *should* come up from there.

---------------> Pokemon

I have tons of Pokemon stuff from my childhood that I'm looking to sell!

Figurines
For the most part, all my figures are all in what I would call fair shape; they are well played-with and have some paint wear or marks, but the majority are intact. Any that aren't will have that noted if you click the picture.

First up, some TOMY figures:

TOMY Pokemon
TOMY Trainers

These are all stamped/marked TOMY, so as far as I'm aware they're the real deal. That said, unless they're seriously off-looking, I honestly don't know how to ID counterfeit ones, so if you're interested in any and have concerns, please feel free to direct me on how to tell if it's a real one or not!

I do have multiples of several of these, so the one pictured may not necessarily be the one you receive. If you're choosey, please feel free to request pictures of all the ones I have available of a certain 'Mon; I'll get them to you ASAP.

Asking prices for the TOMYs are included in the picture titles. I priced the 'Mons based on this guide that I found; the prices in the guide are for mint, so since mine certainly don't qualify as mint, I put them at 40% of the guide's price.  I am open to haggling on these, especially for the more expensive ones.

Next, some figures that I suspect are knock-offs:

Knock-offs?

Most of these guys are either not marked at all, or are marked simply "China", though I believe a few are actually marked TOMY. They are about the same size as the TOMY figures, but all have things about them that seem a little "off" compared to the TOMYs, making me question their authenticity.

Make an offer if you're interested in any of these!

And finally, some bigger "action"-type figures, made by (I think?) Hasbro:

Action Figures

These are all about 6" tall. Most of the Pokemon had parts that launched off; those pieces are sadly missing now.

I was thinking $7 each on these? More than open to offers, though!
Plushies
Pokemon Plushies

I'm still in the process of adding descriptions to the pictures with more details as to age/brand/etc. Most are Hasbro, and are from 1999/2000. Please feel free to ask me if you need more info on any of them!

These are currently make-an-offer. ^_^
Burger King "Pokemon: The First Movie" Toys
BK 1st Movie toys

These are all well-played with. I don't have the PokeBalls they came in anymore.

For pricing, I was thinking $2 each?
Burger King Gold Cards
BK Gold Cards

Both the outer balls and inner plastic card cases have been handled quite a bit; my brother and I couldn't resist showing these off to friends. XD I don't recall ever taking the cards themselves out of their hard cases, but I'm going to err on the side of caution and say that they have been handled a bit. So they might have a few fingerprints or dirt.

All are complete with their Pokeballs, all the pieces of the "stands" inside the balls that hold up the card, and (with the exception of Charizard) their COAs. I'm 90% sure I actually do have Charizard's COA somewhere in my totes of Pokemon stuff, but haven't found it yet.

I also have the boxes for all six cards, though they are a bit beat-up. Charizard, Mewtwo, and Jigglypuff are in blue boxes and Pikachu, Togepi, and Poliwhirl are in red boxes. I believe the blue-boxed ones were the initial release, and the red were a "back by popular demand" thing?

For price, I was thinking $10 per card?
Trading Cards
Oh god, so many cards! I seriously have thousands. XD I collected heavily from 1998 through 2009 or so.

Rather than even attempting to list them out, I think I'll just have anyone interested in cards PM me with their want lists; I'll let you know if I have any of what you're looking for.

For pricing... It really depends on the card, but judging by a search of sold items on eBay, it looks like most run in this general price range:

Holo Rares- $4 each
Rares- $2 each
Uncommon- $0.50 each
Common- $0.50 each

Again, though, this is just a rough idea; some cards, particularly any featuring popular Pokemon like Charizard, Venusaur, or Blastoise, will likely be a fair bit higher.

I also have Topps cards, so if there's anything there you're interested in let me know!

More Pokemon stuff to be added; I'm still working on sorting through and deciding exactly what I'm going to part with. If there's anything specific you're looking for, let me know!

-----------> Littlest Pet Shop

Vintage LPS
Hasbro LPS

All of these guys are played-with; the vintage ones are my childhood toys, and the newer ones were picked up at yard sales. If you need more pictures of any of them to judge condition, please let me know! I only have the pets themselves; no accessories/playsets.

For pricing:

I couldn't find exact matches for most of the vintage ones on eBay to get a price idea, but it looks like single pets with no accessories generally go for $4-5 each. So I'll set that as my asking price. More than willing to negotiate, though!

The Hasbro ones I ID'd using this site, and then looked them up on eBay. The prices listed in the pic titles are what I figured the average selling price to be. By all means, feel free to make lower offers on them; the prices are just there as kind of a guideline. ^_^

---------------> Disney

Lion King/Lion King 2 plushies
Lion King action figures

I have quite a Pride of TLK plushies that I haven't added to the album yet, so if there's something particular that you're interested in, please feel free to ask if I have it! I think I have a few other figurines and such, too.

Other Disney plush

I have a bunch of 101 Dalmatians plushies that I didn't get pictures of yet but am willing to sell; let me know if you're interested in them. ^_^

I also have a bunch of random Disney figures and toys; if there's something particular you're looking for, just ask and I'll tell you if I have anything related to it.

---------------> Other Toys

Vintage toys

Highlights for the vintage stuff include: Rainbow Brite, Pony/Bunny Surprise, Strawberry Shortcake... And honestly, just a lot of random 80's/90's stuff. XD

Misc. plush

Neopets, Hamtaro, Skelanimals, etc.

More to be added! I'm still sorting. XD

Everything here is make-an-offer at the moment.

---------------> Video Games

Everything has been tested and works fine! ^_^ These games were all purchased in the US; I'm not sure if they will work in international systems.

I am DEFINITELY open to lower offers on any of my games! I looked them all up on Gamestop's website to figure prices, then subtracted a bit because I no longer have boxes/booklets/accessories.

DS Games

Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team- $8

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Model horse ID help?
« on: April 29, 2016, 01:47:57 PM »
There was a local townwide garage sale today, so of course I had to go. XD I didn't find any ponies, but one sale had a TON of  toy horses that I scooped up. Can anyone help me ID them?

Here's the herd. Most of them, judging by the stamp on them, are Grand Champions, but there's also a Breyer, a couple of Kid Kore, and a flocked one that (as far as I can tell) was made by Battat.

Thanks in advance! ^_^

EDIT: Okay, thanks to you guys pointing me in the right directions, I think I've got all of the Grand Champions ID'd! Yay!

I'm totally stumped on the Breyer... I looked on the "identifyyourbreyer" website, but I can't seem to find this guy or anything in the same mold. Halp?

The Battat guy kind of intrigues me. I've seen Battat brand horses before, but the ones I've seen are in scale with American Girl dolls. This guy is much smaller, the same size as the Grand Champions/Breyer. Even Google doesn't seem to find anything this size.

The Kid Kore ones, from what I'm finding on Google, are basically fakies of GC? Ah well. XD At least the adult one has pretty cool markings.

If anyone is a bit more knowledgeable about the market for GC/similar horses and knows what these guys might go for in well-loved condition, please let me know; I'll most likely be selling them. :)

Off Topic / Anyone having issues with Purina Cat Chow?
« on: March 05, 2016, 03:57:04 PM »
I wasn't sure where exactly this belonged... It didn't really seem to fit in WYP. I apologize if I put it in the wrong spot.

Anyway; is anyone having any issues with Purina Cat Chow making their cats sick? Half my crew has been puking since I opened a new bag of food yesterday and I'm wondering if maybe there's a bad batch making the rounds.

I don't think it's a matter of the food just not agreeing with them; we did switch straight from the green Indoor variety of Cat Chow to this blue Complete kind, but we do that quite regularly and have never had an issue.

This particular bag has a new design that I've never seen before, with kind of a "spring" theme; daisies, butterflies, and a quote about "Spring reminds you just how alive life can be". It also has "Available at Target" on it, which seems odd; I did buy it at Target, but literally EVERYWHERE sells Cat Chow.

The food itself seems to be the usual "Complete" variety Cat Chow; it doesn't look or smell any different. The cats are eating it fine. They just all seem to be puking afterward.

I'm also wondering if it's perhaps an issue with how it was stored in Target's stockroom... Makes me skeptical about trying one of the Indoor bags I got from the same store at the same time.

So, yeah; anyone else having issues? Either with the Cat Chow brand or with any dry pet food bought at Target? My specific store is Amsterdam NY, but I imagine if it's a storage issue it could be happening at a warehouse or something prior to getting to the store.

UPDATE: I went ahead and opened one of the Indoor bags, and they seem to be doing much better on that. So I'm guessing it's an issue with that one bag of Complete. Should I contact Target regarding it, considering I threw out the receipt and can't prove I bought it there?

A lot of you guys recommended changing food brands... I would love to try them on something higher quality, but with the number of cats I have I go through 35-40 pounds of dry food a month. :ack: So I don't think I could work anything too much more expensive into my budget without having to put myself on an all-ramen diet. XD Are there any brands that are both good for the cats and a bit easy on the wallet?

Off Topic / Clothes from Disney Store ; good quality?
« on: February 12, 2016, 05:45:15 PM »
I had no idea where to put this; I apologize if I misplaced it!

Anyway; I know there's tons of Disney fans here, and I was wondering if anyone had bought shirts or other clothes from DS before?

I found this awesome shirt that I'd really love to get. The price is quite a bit more than what I usually drop on clothes, though, and while I don't really mind paying that much for it because I do love it, I'm wondering if the quality matches the price.

I'm one to wash and wear a favorite shirt two or three times a week; would this be likely to hold up to that? Also, do DS's shirts tend to run true to size?

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Does anyone recognize these dollies?
« on: January 25, 2016, 06:06:52 PM »
I found these two dolls at Salvation Army today, and I was wondering if anyone could help me ID them?

First up, this little... I honestly have no idea what she's supposed to be. Her fur colors, ears and little round floppy tail suggest she's a lamb, but her face and hands/feet look like a monkey. I think I'll call her a Lamkey. XD

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

She's about 14" long. No body tags, but she does have "(C) Animals Plus" stamped at the base of her face plate, along with a year that I THINK is 1975 but might be 1977.

Second, this little orange dude that for some reason reminds me of Rainbow Brite.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

He's about 6 inches tall. No tags or markings at all. There's little orange ears in his "mane", so I guess he's meant to be a lion. Or at least, dressed as one; I didn't realize this until after taking the picture, but his mane is actually a hood and folds down to reveal a human head with Kewpie-style molded hair tufts. I'll add a picture of that later. I thought maybe he was from some sort of make-your-own-doll kit because of the lack of tags/markings , but he seems professionally-made.

Any ideas on who/what they are?

Toy Box & Games Cupboard / Never mind; donated them!
« on: December 15, 2015, 05:43:33 PM »
Donated to Salvation Army. :)

I picked up some vintage 80's puzzles tonight at a rummage sale, hoping to resell them on eBay. None of them seem to be selling for more than a couple dollars, though, so I don't think they're worth bothering to list after fees and everything.

They're nothing I want myself, so I was going to donate them to Salvation Army. But I know a lot of you guys are interested in 80's stuff, so I thought I'd see if anyone might be interested before I donate them.

Here's a picture of what I got. In order, there's three featuring Masters of the Universe, one featuring Centurions, one featuring Defenders of the Earth, and one featuring GI Joe.

visitors can't see pics , please register or login

The Centurions and Defenders of Earth ones don't appear to have ever been opened, so those are (I assume) complete and undamaged. I haven't checked the others out to see if all the pieces are there and intact, but for what it's worth I've bought puzzles from the same rummage sale many times over the years and have never gotten one with a missing or damaged piece.

If anyone's interested in them, just shoot me a message. ^_^

The Dollhouse / Rapunzel Rescue Mission!

I found this poor little Rapunzel at Salvation Army today:

It looks like the poor thing has never seen a hairbrush in her life! I couldn't resist the challenge, though, so I adopted her and brought her home for some intense hair therapy.

Does anyone have any advice on getting through her hair? I soaked her head in conditioner for a while, which helped, but it's still SUPER hard to comb. I worked on her for a good half an hour, and only got one tiny chunk of her hair done.

Price Check Archives / PC on G1 Ponywear, Accessories, and Combs?
« on: November 21, 2015, 03:44:33 PM »
Sorting through my totes the other day, I found a bag of G1 stuff that I thought I'd lost three moves ago. XD Anyway, I don't really collect G1 or accessories, so these will be going up for sale. I'd like to get an idea of what to ask for them before adding them to my sales post, though.

Here's what I found. Sorry about the yellowish tint in the pictures; the lighting in here is horrible. Everything looks to be in pretty good pre-played-with condition. Peachy's just here to model the clothes; no need to PC her. :P

My mom listed some of my Pokemon cards on eBay for me, and we seem to be having some issues with a buyer.

The registered address, or whatever you call it, on the account the guy bid and won from has a US mailing address for shipping... But he wants the cards shipped to Australia. I don't at all mind shipping internationally, but I seem to recall reading about some issues other Arena members had with sending the packages to a different address.

I'm getting my info second-hand, as my mom is the one actually talking to the buyer, but from what I understand, the address on the ebay account is somewhere the buyer lived/stayed while in the US, while their main/home address is in Australia.

I'm just not sure what to do... The total order is pretty expensive; around $300 before shipping, so I'm really worried about possibly losing seller protection if something were to happen.

Any advice?
