Powder and Trickles!

I could never give up my childhood ponies, but I did want Powder and Trickles in my collection.  and well, mine were pretty beat-up. 

I've decided to set aside my childhood ponies and replace ones that I want as collector pieces (like, I won't be getting another Soda Sippin' pony for My Collection as I never really liked her, but my childhood one will always have a place with the other childhood ponies!)

my Powder and Trickles were in the worst condition out of all my childhood ponies, and one seller had them both in beautiful condition so I decided to take the plunge. and they just came in today! here they are next to my childhood toys for comparison:

Powder's not horrible, but she's dingy despite a couple baths and I didn't clean around her symbol well because she's lost a lot of glitter there already.  new!Powder is a totally different color!  and her hair and symbols are so perfect!

my childhood Trickles has had pony cancer since the early 90s at least, and despite a few treatments she's still getting worse with time :(  new!Trickles doesn't have 100% perfect glitter on her symbols but otherwise she's so minty, a completely different color once again.  I can barely believe they're the same character!


my childhood ponies just don't feel like part of My Collection proper, and separating them out from My Collection has made my whole herd "feel" better to me. they're my toys, not my collector pieces, you know?
