Pony Brag Arena / Set completers & other recent additions (pic heavy)
« on: February 25, 2012, 02:04:18 PM »
Okay, this brag is somewhat overdue as some of these 'recent' purchases were made last year... but the beginning of the year has been busy and I haven't had time to photograph ponies until now. And now I can show off all the pretty ponies at the same time!

Let's start with the oldest, from December (or November?). A pony I wasn't expecting to get this soon... Scandinavian Gusty

Other additions from December. I still need Baby Schoolbag to complete the Playschool series. Baby Berrytown is a set starter, I have a leaflet from the 90s that features these families and I always wanted them!

Big Top, Toppy and Puddles are recent purchases, my Peeks has been lonely for a long time.

Isn't he cute?  ^.^

Thanks to Roogna, I've finally got Dewdrop Dazzle! (And Tex ^ ) I once saw her in a store but was very tight on money at the time so I didn't buy her... and I regretted that ever since. DD is one of the most beautiful G4 toys in my opinion. ^^ Another G4 I've been looking for is Honeybuzz who I finally found yesterday. No pics of her yet, but you all know what she looks like anyway... ;)

Now onto the set completers!

A full set of Flower ponies, Bluebell was the last one to join the herd.

Finally! Bangles is my childhood pony and I was able to get Starlight a few years ago, but Beautiful Bows has been eluding me for years. I loooove this set, probably because Bangles was my favourite as a kid; I used to love all super girly stuff like this.

Another pony I've been hunting for so long! *happy dance* She is gorgeous, and she completes my Sweetberry set. ^__^ I don't have pics of all of them together, they wouldn't fit my homemade 'lightbox'...

And a bonus one, a custom made by the Finnish customizer Mylittlenemo, this is one of her first customs and she was kind enough to sell it to me and I love it. ^^ I don't know if Mylittlenemo has given her a name, I call her Witching Hour. (Or just 'the Cat Pony', lol.)

Customs / Hakumei - Oriental custom
« on: January 22, 2012, 05:57:08 AM »
...commissioned by none other than our very own Oriental pony lover Izrabeth. ;) I meant to wait until the pony is in her new home but I just cannot wait any longer, sorry Izrabeth.  (She's seen the pony already so no harm done there.) Hope you'll like her as much IRL.

Izrabeth asked for a pony similar to my Natsuko and sent me a few reference pics of pagodas and willow trees which I used to make up this scenery. The pony had some stains on both sides, the DS was no problem since I always knew the painting would cover it all, but the NDS was a bit trickier with the stains forming a trail from her front leg to her belly. Finally I came up with some lotus flowers, and dragonflies as per Izrabeth's original request.

She was rehaired in Black Magick, Hematite and Roasted Almond nylon hair from dollyhair.com, got a hair style like that of Natsuko's and a kanzashi made with iron wire, chain, Apoxie, beads and some pink ribbon with Chinese knotting. I don't remember the names of these particular knots but I found the tutorials on the Internet. Some of those knots I found by googling were really spectacular, I suggest you take a look if you haven't seen them before. My first tries look pretty feeble in comparison but I'm quite proud of the lower one especially, it was listed under 'advanced knots' on the site I was using.  :P

Oh, and Hakumei means 'twilight' or 'dusk', at least as far as I know... Google and online dictionaries are my best friends. :lookround:

Comments and questions are welcome and appreciated, as always. ^^
