Customs / Where have all the good swaps gone? Hosts needed for new ideas

It used to be there were so many I wanted to be in, I had to pick and choose carefully, now it seems there are less and less I'm interested in...

I'd start my own but don't have the time for the work involved...

Has anyone else noticed this trend? Is it maybe because of the more stringent rules/feedback with shipping on time, etc? I know that's part of why I've hesitated on some that weren't AS interesting to me, but its been ages since I did a swap on here ...
I don't think its entirely to do with the transition to the new boards either... *shrugs*

Thoughts?

I just love Opal (Opalescence) Rarity's Cat from MLP Friendship is magic...She's so sassy and fun, and the perfect match for Rarity. When I first got the Kitty that came with Snowcatcher I knew exactly what to do with her, but her shape wasn't exactly right for a toon accurate version, so I caste her, then altered the sculpt and added details.

Customs / Ace McCloud (Centurions) from private Cartoon swap w/Lizstaley (Pic heavy)

Liz and I recently did a private swap and I received the awesome Mystery Machine...

When Liz sent me her list and I researched the choices, a drawing by her of this guy, was one of the first things that came up via Google, I took that as a sign that he was the one to go with.

I knew I was taking on quite a task, but he HAD to have removable parts...I solved this by using foam accessories, so the weight wouldn't restrict anything, and sculpy for support. the "plugs" for his holes are actually coffee straw/stirrers!

I'mglad to say Liz was happy with him, and really appreciated the removable accessories.

Are they harder to come by now? I've searched on ebay several times and there's none, I didn't think they were that uncommon?

I'd like to get my hands on at least 3, but ideally 9 or more would be great, however, I'd also like to pay reasonable prices, since these were dollar items after all...so...

These are going to be for customs, so if they're prepped already, that's fine...

does anyone have any Dollar General NBT fakies?
