Customs / Custom Plushie - SS Twist
« on: February 17, 2014, 09:26:18 PM »
Experiment time!     I wanted to see what G1 style eyes would look like on a G4 body.  While I doubt I'll use them again, I think they look pretty good!

Twist was one of my childhood ponies.  I still remember the night my dad brought her home to me.  As much as I love her SS version, her Brazilian version is one of my top 10 ponies ever, so I used her deflocked/Brazil coloring for this plushie.

She's 2 types of minky, polyfil, and custom embroidery files courtesy of Karentheunicorn and Fanta (I love you ladies!).

Pony Corral / Color leaching on a deflocked Crumpet?
« on: February 14, 2014, 02:09:19 PM »
Before people get all up in arms about deflocking a Crumpet, this poor girl had practically no flocking anyway.  She was mostly down to just a rough covering of glue.  Actually, when I was just washing the bottoms of her feet in soap and warm water, her flocking just sloughed off in thick chunks!

Anyway!  In removing the glue I always use acetone first for the parts not covering paint, and I noticed in several places Crumpet's body color seemed to be leaching out into the cotton ball.  At first I thought it was just yellow glue residue on there, but there are now a few lighter spots on Crumpet's body as well.  It isn't extremely noticeable since she isn't a super-dark yellow to begin with, but does anyone else have any experience with this?  Is Crumpet just a pony I'm going to have to be super-careful with as I complete the deflock process?

Customs / Custom Plushie - Flitterheart
« on: February 12, 2014, 10:32:51 PM »
This girl was made for the LOVELY Shiromisa, who not only was a gem to work with, she also put up with my constant PM's.  ^^

Flitterheart is made of several types of minky with fully embroidered eyes and symbol.  Shiromisa requested that her eyes be made like her box art and not like the toy.  She's about 95% machine sewn, with some hand sewn piecework.  Stuffed with polyester fiberfil, as always.

Customs / Custom Plushie - Baby Ember
« on: February 04, 2014, 10:34:44 PM »
My first filly plush!   Who better to make than the first baby pony?

Ember is made of minky with fully embroidered eyes and machine stitched details in her hair.  There is some hand stitching as well, and she is stuffed with polyfil.  There are plans for the pink and blue baby Embers as well in the future.  What do you think?

All my plushies are 100% minky with embroidered symbols and eyes, with the occasional additional fabric as required by the design, and are filled with 100% polyester fiber.  They are mainly machine sewn but have some hand sewn piecework.  I would not recommend them for rough play but they are great for snuggling (surface wash only).  Here are some examples of recent work:

I can also make ponies in the body shapes of Celestia, Luna/Cadance, fillies/colts, and stallions, with alterations such as bat ears/wings.  All gens and OC's welcome!  All my plushies are proportionate to one another, so fillies are smaller than mares, etc.  Celestia is suitably tall and regal.  ;)

Base pricing is as follows and does not include shipping:

Standard mare: $80
Standard stallion: $85
Draft stallion (Big Mac etc.): $90
Fillies/colts (blank flank): $65
Fillies/colts (with cutie mark): $70
Luna/Cadance shape: $95
Celestia shape: $125

I require a $20 non-refundale deposit for materials, and I gladly accept payment plans via Paypal's gift option.  :)  Depending on the complexity of your pony, cost may be higher.  PM me today and get your own custom plush!

Like the title says, I sent an international package on the 6th that still shows as "Acceptance" today, the 14th.  It is possible it's just not getting its tracking scanned, or is it still sitting at the PO for some reason?  Calling the place I shipped it from (Postal Annex) has gotten me nowhere.

Off Topic / Custom Plushie - University of Texas Bevo
« on: January 07, 2014, 02:06:58 AM »
I'm not sure if this goes here or in Off Topic because while he IS a custom he's not technically a pony (though I did alter my pony stallion pattern to make him)... Mods??

Anyway, this is Bevo, the mascot for the University of Texas. I made him for a friend's birthday.  I altered my stallion pattern to have a more bovine profile and tweaked it in obvious ways. He's made of minky with fleece and faux fur accents, and his symbol and eyes are machine embroidered.  Despite being an Okie, I kind of love him.  :)

Customs / G1-G4 Plush Bowtie
« on: December 30, 2013, 12:48:22 AM »
Bowtie was one of Aadra310's first two ponies, so for Christmas this year I made her a plush Bowtie as her first G4 plushie.  Aadra was kind enough to photograph her for me.  :)

Bowtie is made from minky and is partially hand sewn.  Her bows were added to mimic her "Rescue at Midnight Castle" appearance.  A LOT of time and love went into this pony - I had to create her symbol myself so my machine could embroider it!  I have it on good authority that she's pretty awesome.  ;)

Customs / Plushie Twilight Sparkle
« on: December 20, 2013, 02:20:24 PM »
A friend of mine mentioned that her daughter's best friend LOVES ponies, and said her daughter had wanted to get her a plush of her favorite pony, Twilight Sparkle, for Christmas, but that she didn't like the plushies she'd seen in the store.  So, she asked me to make one for her!  I thought this pony would be the death of me, but I think she turned out alright in the end.  :)

Customs / "Here comes BULLET!"
« on: December 20, 2013, 02:13:02 PM »
Bullet is the horse of one of my college's mascots.  The announcer yells "Here comes BULLET!" and he comes out and makes a galloping run around the football field when we score a touchdown, so it's always a good thing to see him out!  :)  My boss went to the same college and goes to all our home games, so I made this plush Bullet for her for Christmas this year!  He's made of super soft minky, was embroidered on my new machine, and was partially hand sewn (because I haven't figured out a lot of my sewing machine yet, lol!).

Wanted! / WTB Bait G1 Princesses
« on: November 21, 2013, 07:33:33 AM »
I don't care how beat up they are so long as they have their gems intact.  The gems don't necessarily need their iridescent or metallic coatings, either.  I'll make a list and remove ponies as I get them for easy reference, as I only need 1 of each.  :)  Thanks guys!

Customs / How do you get a new tail into a brushable Celestia bait?
« on: May 10, 2013, 12:56:17 PM »
This is going to involve a dremel, isn't it?

The wings are out and she's completely disassembled.  Is there an easy way to get a new tail in?  I normally use zip ties but they're all too big to fit down the canal back into her body.  I enlarged the hole with a dremel already, do I just keep going?
