Customs / G2 Heads?

Is there an easy way to get the heads on and off G2 ponies? When I was doing Sky Skimmer, things didn't go so well and I eventually had to glue her head on and give up the turning...

I'm trying to sell a custom Posey but I'm concerned that I may have priced her too high...

I'm not talking about the Buy it Now price (which I know is outrageous, but the option to put it on there was free

), I mean the regular bidding price. It's obvious that I'm an amateur, and Posey is basically... a wingless Fluttershy. Oddly enough though, I really don't want to keep her at all. Should I lower the price? If so, what to?

My restored Sky Skimmer. Before this, she was missing her eye gems, had a hair cut, and had several marks on her body.

G4 Gusty and Moondancer. Gusty has this tomboy/rock star thing going on with her hair cut... You can probably see that I had some trouble with Moondancer's neck.

Customs / A Few Quick Questions...

1. Why do you water down the paint before painting the pony? I never really saw the point in that...
2. I use FabriTac to glue the hair down, but it dries so quickly that it gets difficult to spread it over the hair, so not only do I miss some of the plugs, it also pulls the hair out with it. Can someone maybe suggest another glue to use? Or at least a better way of applying it? (I spread the glue on a Q-tip, then stick it into the head and run it over the plugs. It worked the first time with no problems, but it got difficult when I was working on my second project.)

Introductions / Uh... hello?

I'm a seventeen year old waiting to go to college, and collecting/customizing ponies while doing so (I'm out of high school due to mid-year graduation).

My first MLP was Sky Skimmer from G2, although I didn't figure out she was an MLP until several years later when I did some research. When I was about eight or so, I took a HUGE interest in G3s until middle school, then stopped and never wanted anything to do with them again. Then along comes MLP:FiM. I got hooked, began collecting all the figures mint in box, then became interested in the entire franchise as a whole again. I'm here to stay too. What the G3 commercials used to say is absolutely true: "You'll always be in my heart."

Other than ponies though, I like video games. Mostly Nintendo with some Sega and Valve. I also like studying math and science occasionally (even though I'm not good at either of them).

So... yeah. Nice to meet you all and be a part of this nice community.
