Pony Corral / Buyer's remorse!

Last night I bought two things on Ebay. And I feel so guilty. Now they were only $6.00 and $12.00 with shipping, respectively, and I have wanted both of them. But I couldn't help feel guilty like that $18.00 could've put gas in my car instead of buying small plastic toys. I'm bringing my lunch every day this week, so I can't feel too guilty!


What's the most you've paid for a pony and felt guilty?

I found blind bags today at Meijer. I spotted them shoved in a basket on an endcap. I couldn't believe they were there, I wasn't even looking for them. This was in Cincinnati. They were $1.99

Ponyville is growing on me. I only have two, one was a gift, but  I saw a little Wysteria one at the thrift store I was at a few days ago, and now I want to go back and retrieve her.   I'm still eh on the anthro ones (though it'd be cute if someone customized them into the Tales girls!) but the regular ponies are darling.


Has anyone ever customized them? It seems like they'd be good for customizing, especially the ones with removable hair.     What have you made?

Who are your favorites?

Also, this whole post was a distraction from packing for my upcoming move, so post pictures if you like so I may be distracted further.  :)

I can't find it on Ebay anymore but somebody had made and was selling a G1 Luna. She was so gorgeous and I saw her twice on Ebay, but I didn't bid because I feared I couldn't afford her. Is the artist here? Did anyone else see her?

Pony Brag Arena / First thrift store find (in Ohio)! - NOW WITH PICS!

Today I left a little early from work, and wandered on down to the grocery store because my partner is sick :( and I saw a thrift store I usually pass by, but today I figured since I was there and they were open for once, I'd check for ponies.


I've not found a single G1 since I got here 2 years. In Florida, found them all the time.


But today, I found a whole box!  (Of ponies, not G1) I'll probably go back tomorrow, but today I left with..

Then I went back again, to see the other G3s they had and I decided to take a chance on this $5.00 bag they had stuffed full. I saw a Starsong mini and that was it.. but I'm glad I got it, because look what was inside!

Pony Corral / Show me ponies in your decor/merging ponies into your decorating space

So we're moving (sigh) and I'm giving up my office/pony room.  In a year, it never fully came to fruition, and the new place isn't 3 bedroom, only 2, so my partner has to get the office, I believe.


I'm forced (:)) with the task of merging the ponies into our decorating. I'm carving out myself an office in the living room probably, with the use of a screen or something. But I don't want the ponies to detract from this whole decorating scheme.  (Serious business guys)



So, please show me pictures of your ponies actually used as decoration.    Maybe I can find a happy medium with them.

Off Topic / Cincinnati people!

I know we have a few Cincy collectors here. I live on the NKY side (Cintucky) but I am moving near Hyde Park in May. I'm really excited as I will be closer to a lot of good areas - Oakley, Mt. Lookout, etc. I was wondering if you could rec good stores (thrift and other), places to eat, even cleaners etc. Thanks!

And if a Cincy person wants to maybe hang out one day for lunch that'd be cool!

I've really been wanting to make some jewelry. I have a few ideas of necklaces I want to design, maybe even a pony symbol or two to try to sculpt, but I wanted to know if anyone made jewelry and if they had any tips? 


I mainly want to attach certain charms on to jewelry, and maybe eventually join chain in between charms..


I know people here are ridiculously creative so I thought I'd ask!

All solved!  Today Princess Celestia I learned that you should always notice and inspect things when they arrive in the mail and cherish every piece.

I bought a pony from a user here who shipped her relatively quickly. My fiance gave me the package one day after she picked me up from work.  I opened the bubble envelope, and pulled out a bubble-wrapped pony. I saw that is was purplish and had a button.  I figured it was my pony I ordered.  I went on to the next package, the Princess Peppermint I got from another user  then I ran a bunch of errands, threw the bubble wrapped pony in its bubble envie in my shopping bags of shampoo and extra cleaning stuff, threw that stuff in my office/storage room (which has very little and is cold and dark, so I don't go in there in the winter right now) and put the pony in her package on the desk.   I've been sick lately and working extra so I forgot about her.I sent the user a message thanking her for the pony. Flash forward to last night, I'm looking for more cleaning stuff, get out the envelope and decide to set up some of my recent purchases on the shelf.It's the wrong pony.  The user sent the wrong pony and I didn't notice and now I feel like an absolute idiot.The user who sent is really nice and I sent her a message asking if maybe she was mistaken, meant to send it to somebody else. .... And I feel like it looks like I'm trying to pull a bait-and-switch here, but I'm not. I have perfect ebay feedback and on here and the trading post.  And since I'm pretty public online with my real name, etc, I wouldn't want to run any type of scam or cheat somebody because I'm in a variety of communities and that could hurt my reputation.What should I do?  :blush:

She is too cute to not brag about! I have a few more brags (nothing big) but it was a late dinner tonight and I didn't get a chance to take pictures (I would've taken them while the arena was down, but I was waiting on mail!) so I will update it later. 

I stole this pic from Kaerfel, who made her. She's on her way to me but I just can't wait!

Now I have a decent sized Luna Army. Small but growing.

Plush Luna, baby plush Luna, Shine Bright Luna (just got her!), Fashion Luna, and regular Luna.
