Hello Everyone!
I bet some of you remember me talking about me restoring Brazilian Shady around this time last year.... well I did however paint her and then I took a long pause in customizing and restoring ponies....
Maybe I wasn't that good enough... :cloud:
or
Maybe I was too upset of a good paint job gone horribly wrong because it was a very Hot and Humid in the house making my paint very sticky? :what:
Yeah I'm guessing the second one also... only I didn't realize this until a few weeks ago... So I'm not giving up on my restoration project... I now have hope for it again...
and here is a preview of what the pony looked like back then and what the pony looks like now and a pic of what the Brazilian pony should look like herself from MLP Wiki
P.S She does have the black spots showing threw her paint cause the paint is so thin but I'm going to work on that tonight to see if I can get rid of that...

That's a nice smooth paint job! I'm sure she'll look great when you're done with her :)
-
Thank you BC!!!! I got really lucky with her, cause after I used the paint stripper most of the Pink absorbed into her body so I used just used 2 coats of pink paint and Wala she turned out like this... as for the black spots they are slowly going away.
I painted the whites of her eyes last night after I posted this.... can't wait to get her done!

She is looking much more like herself! :D
Love pkw xxx

Thank you pinkkittywinks! I can't belive how long its takeing to work on her thankfully she is my pony so I can take my time with her... I'm learning from her that is for sure... I think the finish that I'm using don't like florescent pink so its fighting me and becoming sticky when I use it.... So Instead of stripping her and reusing the finish I dumbed baking soda on her and let her sit there for a while I was so flustered I was like "Take that" but hey I think it worked she isn't so sticky anymore  so I gave her a bath and she is a lot better but not quite 100% but I think another bath in baking soda or powder will work. She has half of her symbols on.... I need to add the white to it... then seal it again... then rehair Can't wait to finish her up!

Sorry I can't help you with the hair sizes but wow you did a great job! I hope the stickiness stabilises for you. I have had ponies who were sticky and then stabilised after cleaning.

Thank you Raindrop & Artemesia's Garden Soo Much!!!!
Yes the sticky stickiness is much better than it was & I went to the Nirvana Pages of MLP Arena and found a pic of Brazilian Shady's hair
https://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,399771.0.html
So she looks just like the original SS Shady That I have So that puts her at
Bangs Mane Tail
2 1/4in 4 1/4 6in
That's the same with Cupcake as well so I will have to edit my Hair Length Guide.

I Hopefully If all goes according to plan, I will have pics Tomorrow!!!!

Thank you Everyone for your kind words

Well done for not giving up, I have also had problems with paints and finishes not 'behaving themselves' etc. But you can use the same method next time now you've figured it out! Hope to see the next one too! You matched the colour so well there. It's not all that common a shade of pink.
