Had to make this thread again :) What happened with your pony collection in 2022? Did you add any, downsize... get any grails? Any ponies that got away from you? Let us know! :frolic:

Here's who joined my herd this year:
Retro Rainbow Applejack
Retro Rainbow Rainbow Dash (FINALLY managed to get my hands on these two! The last two I needed from the set, naturally they were two of my most-wanted! Still don't know what gen to consider this set XD)
Tattle Tales G5 book set - Izzy, Pipp, Sunny, Zipp - and then they re-released the figures as a Busy Book, so now I have extras. x_x Still need to figure out what to do with the doubles.

So counting doubles, that's 52 additions to my herd! (53 if you count the plushie) Wow, more than I realized. Though granted only 7 of those are brushables.. mostly stuck to collecting "merch" this year. But still, dang.

I'm amused that my last pony of 2022 ended up being a Blue Belle, just like last year :p

shipping prices pretty much stagnated any collecting I did, or ponies I was able to sell. 
When it costs twice as much as the pony is worth to ship it, you just can't participate.

i did find two boxes of MLP and related merch that I forgot I even had. 

husband helped me pack up the kid's toys and put them in storage.... including my childhood ponies.  she doesn't care, i don't like having to keep constant dust off them, so off they go.

I don't know if I can remember, it wasn't a lot, but my memory is bad ^^;

I got a huge box of bait ponies for free
I was gifted a custom
Got another custom from a swap

I bought the Retro Applejack

Got some pony stickers

Umm... I think that's it. I'm not actively buying anything but I want the Applejack Hallmark ornament. Guess that will be my first pony goal of 2023.

I bought my first pony to add to my childhood collection! A G2 clever clover.
I really like the monochrome and purple ponies and wanted to have one of the "boy" ponies even though g2 didn't have a separate mould for them like G1.

I bought a big bundle of G4s and some more G2s that have not arrived yet.
A celestia TY that I found in a shop on a family day out. (She has the eyes that both face to the side, I love how silly she looks from the front! :lol: )

Next year I don't plan on buying as many ponies. When I do buy more I'd like to buy replacements for my childhood G1s that I no longer have. And to complete my set of G2 princess ponies!

You're lucky to have so many G5s! The small book figures are very sweet. :)

I don't have a full list but i did rebuild some of my collection and add some new ones. I finally got Brazilian Heart Throb and Brazilian Sugarberry. I'm not sure if i'll buy more this year though. but every time i say i'm done collecting i end up buying more :lol:

I finished my Halloween G3s, got some rare G2s, increased my Butterscotch collection, bumffed up the comic collections, got a couple of Argies & a much-wanted Euro baby, & added a few HQG1Cs. A slow, but good year all-in-all

I think I bought two ponies last year to add to my collection. My Little Prime in april to celebrate that I got a new job and Highflier in late summer, early autumn. I also found a couple of ponies in the wild that are still lying on the floor in my pony room.

I definitely can’t remember them all but my most proud possession is my Takara pony Milky! I saved up for her with my birthday and Christmas money and got lucky when I found her!

This is why I'm mostly just collecting whatever I can find in shops these days - international shipping prices are horrible :(

I can’t remember!  They years blur together!  I know I got Blue Bonnett custom, I finished my baby School Ponies.  I got Jazzy and Hip Hop roller skating ponies. I got one of the pony club newborns.  I’m sure there’s others but I forget.  I got an Argie Moonstone, but can’t remember if that was this year or last year.  I’m gettin old.
And I added Rep the lizard man to my collection too!

It was all newer stuff for me... I try to thrift G1 - G3 ponies to save on my wallet, but that might change this year LOL

From Christmas alone I got:
- G4 Trade paperbacks: Holiday Memories & Magic of Cybertron
- G1 basic fun repro Tootsie
- G5 amazon exclusive Royal Gala collection (that big set with a bunch of one-off characters)

Outside of Christmas I picked up:
- G4 book Goodnight Baby Flurry Heart
- G5 alicorn Sunny / Twilight Sparkle set
- G5 Jazz Hooves
- G3 Garden Wishes
- G5 comic issue 1 & 2
- A few more G4 comic issues


Eek! guess it's not much after all...  :yikes: I'm going to be investing in a billy bookcase and risers soon to move my collection out of the lawyer cabinet that they are starting to outgrow a bit,

My herd has increased exponentially since my husband reunited my with my MLP toys back in May. 
I already had Peachy and was able to acquire a Pretty Parlor for her.
The G1 I have added: Majesty, Sparkler, Firefly, Minty and most recent, Surprise.

My collection at the end of 2022 actually expanded. I got the free pony box from someone on here, and some members know of the new pony sets I got in the summer.

Congrats on your ponies everyone!

I can't tell one year from the next anymore.  But I think I got Wiggles and Sunspot at the beginning of the year?  I know I got collector's pose Bow Tie from Artemesia's Garden and I couldn't be more grateful.

My husband and I also put together a book shelf for my ponies and I am in love with it.

I had a few significant pony infusions:

I got an upgrade MO Dabble and a mint TE Quackers for my birthday.

I got a lavender Woosie, an actual 80s carnival prize mirror, and some other G1 merch from a friend who was selling at the SoCal pony fair(I was unable to actually attend due to being a high risk household).

For my anniversary, my husband got me one of the Lil Litters rabbits complete with accessories.

For Christmas, I got MIP Argie Cool Breeze, the purple Argie Dance ‘n Prance Argie Baby Posey, the G2 painter(complete), Flutter Pony Tropical Breeze with wings, and another complete Lil Litters bunny.

Throughout the year, I also got some random accessories.

I added quite a lot of retail displays and posters this year. They are probably some of my favorite pieces in my whole collection.

I also really got into HQG1Cs, with a handful from multiple conventions and a Christmas Mimic custom made from one.

I was able to get some rarer ponies, like Rapunzel, Mommy and Baby Pony, and Baby Up, Up, and Away.

I almost completed my pony friends, just missing Oakley, Baby Stripes, Baby Lucky, and Baby Leafy. All of which I almost got. I was able to get Cha Cha, Nectar, the kangaroo pair, Edgar, the sheep pair, and Cutesaurus. The others I had the year before, I think, or at some point in lots.

Managed to get vinyl records for three pony generations: G1, G4, and G5.

Proudest achievement was getting the 67 G4 single brushables in the original packaging completed!

Should also say that getting one issue done of my pony comic printed was also a nice achievement.

Was most satisfied with the New Zealand coin, because I had been waiting for an official coin for forever.

And, in general, worked on the plush, G4 cards, Basic Funs, animation cels/sketches, keeping up with G5 merch, enamel pins (including the VRC), G1 ponies, and starting my collection of G1 puzzles, G1 comics, and Takara fakies.

I doubt I'll buy much this year so I wanted my pony collecting to go all out last year!

I didn’t add much to my collection in 2022, but most notable for me were:

Finishing my G1 US collection (last few ponies in the mail)
Adding more original G1 stickers to my collection, including Yr 3 adult sea pony puffy stickers that I’ve been wanting for years (under 10 puffy/flat pony stickers left on my list)
Adding some scarce G1 merchandise, including roller skates in original box, Cotton Candy cassette player, and a htf Euro sheet set

My next goals will probably be completing the pony lines exclusive to U.K./Europe, and getting more cool G1 merchandise.  :)

It is! They are hard to photograph together but I made a post somewhere on here (https://mlparena.com/index.php?topic=404002) and the Trading Post (https://www.mlptp.net/index.php?threads/g4-brushable-singles-set-of-67-complete.118590/) with what pictures I could take. I thought it took me a year and a half, but it was closer to three years from the very, very first, just a year and a half actively collecting the set. I don't have the room to properly display them all but thankfully they all fit in one large box!
