Title: Ponies, Price Checks, and Advice (G1-4) (Image heavy)
Post by: Taffeta on August 12, 2022, 02:24:26 AM
Hi all.

I'm on a sorting crusade at the moment. I've not traded/sold ponies in a few years because of university and COVID. These ponies are what's left of my trade box stuff, and they've been sitting under my chair for about 4 years waiting for me to do something with them.

So...I'm trying now.

Most of them are probably not worth a lot, but I need to rehome them. Some general ballpark price estimates on all and any would be appreciated. I prefer to sell through the Arena - I don't use facebook for transactions, and ebay's fees have driven me away from using that (though I have a lot of feedback there).

This is what's in my box. Advice, price suggestions, even offers all considered. Note I will not do longterm holds on anything, as I need space. I do like to ship internationally if I can but shipping will be as cost according to RM. I've not shipped anything since before Brexit and COVID so have no idea about international rates atm. I'm in the UK, UK offers are fine.

@BrightRabbit, if you read this, I still have baby starbow in my box and if you still want her after so many years, send me a PM. I'll send her to you :)

Some important notes:
Melody is missing a wheel. Her headset is intact but missing its ribbon.
THe set of Sniffles and Snookums as twins is in poor condition, fading and tail rust.
Bow Tie is missing a tail and has some plastic damage
Some of the baby ponies have tail rust or trims.

A lot of the ponies are not in mint condition, most all are played with albeit some only lightly. Many are pretty common I think. Possible exceptions are Melody, Paintingtime and Buttons with the large button symbol, who are in decent shape and semi-htf (Buttons is a movie star pony, she's not deflocked. In the UK we had both types of symbol on Buttons).

There are two play and care set (European) baby Lickety Splits. One has her bottle and comb and is in great condition. The other is a bit more played with but ok, no accessories.

The G4s are in a range of conditions, Spitfire, Holly Dash etc are great, a couple of the little Fluttershys are horrible.

Windy and Firefly are also in nice condition albeit a lot more common :)

There is one fakie.

Flutters are wingless, frizzy and faded.

The books are all in used, read condition, some have some marks on the pages, none are missing pages as far as I can see. I also have some G1 annuals if anyone is interested albeit these are heavy o.O.

I also have a bunch of accessories but I'll deal with them another time.

I would like a plain, small brushable Fluttershy (if she's horrible enough but her body is still good she can become a Custom), & one Euro Baby Lickety Split please. Willing to buy when you get price ideas. PM me please

So many babies! None are what I'm after though and I already have the AJs you have there.

Good luck selling :)

@PBW - one of the little fluttershies is the power pony whatever, her hair is horrible though. The other is messy hair-wise, I don't remember massive flaws. I think she has the original sad eyes...I'd be happy to throw one/both little fluttershy brushies in with the baby Lickety if need be, if I get a price estimate for her (unless you want to make an offer). I am so out of the loop on selling that I am not sure what prices are like right now for anything.

@DracoKat, I have scales and can weigh ponies before agreeing a deal, so that is an option (you would know the exact rate). I've been shipping overseas since 1998, so it's not an issue for me - but I always recommend getting a quote first.

Sorry not to have more orange to offer, BC xD. I'm kind of disturbed by the number of baby yoyos I've accumulated.

If people want to make offers feel free, or drop me a PM. Really hoping for some PCs but willing also to work out deals/bundles/whatever if it means I can send these off to new homes.

The G4 that I'd consider selling alone are the wingless Celestia in the first post, Holly Dash, and the Rainbow Power Cheerilee. I believe that snowglobe Twilight is also a bit sought after as well!

My unprofessional "just what I would pay/sell for them as an American"

First pic
-FS Pinkie, RD, Fluttershy, and Spitfire all go together. $20-25
-Light up Rarity. $3 ish, shipping probably kills on her.
-FS Rarity, I don't think I see her often, probably more like $10-15
-I consider that Pinkie Pie with the beads to be essentially bait/freebie since she's missing her pieces. Maybe a customizer would like her.
-3" Celestia, I don't remember how much she goes for now, probably $10-15 even missing wings
-$3 for the rest of the 3 inches in the first picture. Fluttershy looks older so could probably get more. Powerpony Fluttershy maybe $5 also

MOC minifigures were very common here in the US and sold at dollar stores. I'm not sure how the distribution was over yonder, I don't see them as having much value.

Holly Dash $15-25, maybe same for Cheerilee, they may have gotten more expensive since I was last looking for them. Mane-iac probably $5-15, those guys usually sell for me but I don't think I would pay $15. Snowglobe Twilight has such few listings usually, probably $20. Cadance sells for $8-10 for me, Shining probably $15. Snowglobe AJ $5?

I'm a bit out of the loop lately with piecemeal pony prices, I've been too invested in myself. >< Also not sure how many folks on here are interested in buying G4, but that's what I'd regard them as in my head when I was more actively selling online. I couldn't see the flaws on the Fluttershies, but assuming gently used/no major flaws, those are what I'd normally see.

I've been overspending recently or I'd spring for that Cheerilee. :P Best of luck with the sales and the move!

If my budget wasn't so tight right now, I'd be interested in the story books.

A sorting crusade! Armed with plastic brushes!

@TRTL - thank you :D I'll probably take that as a benchmark and work down to try and get them moved.

Pinkie Pie has her beads xD They're in the plastic tub, I'm not sure if it's visible in the photo. I don't know if she has all of them though. She came in a bag of stuff from a carboot sale but there seem to be a lot there.

The FS Rarity's hair is not in good shape, so that is probably a factor.

If people are interested in seeing more detailed pics of specific ponies it will take a little while; while it's hot here I can't use my PC because it heats up quickly when its on charge and its battery is not reliable.

I don't think the mini figures are worth a lot either, I can't even remember how I got them but might just donate those?

It seems to happen from time to time, but it's not helpful.

Both baby licketies are now on hold pending sale, as is the normal fluttershy. I'm going to do a proper trade post for these when I can do some more detailed photos. Question for people giving price checks - do you think for the more common/damaged ponies, doing bulk offer prices would help??
