Title: What paper do I use to print art?
Post by: BlackCurtains on July 11, 2022, 06:54:41 AM
Hello :)

I'm hoping some artists can help me. I have amassed a bunch of digital art that I would like to print out and frame. The problem is I don't know what type of paper to use? I don't even know how to start looking. I checked Blick Art Materials but I got so lost in the different types of paper

I know it should be archival, right? And no acid? Or are those the same thing? Help!

Edit: Okay. I found this site - Red River (https://www.redrivercatalog.com/) - and they have recommendations for the paper they sell. For printing digital artwork to be displayed long term under glass they recommend this one - Aurora white cotton (https://www.redrivercatalog.com/browse/aurora-art-white-250.html). Unfortunately the 8.5x11 is on back order. It's a good price though and you can even check by printer type if the paper will work with it. I have a Canon PIXMA TS series.

I tried to see if this paper is available anywhere else and it doesn't seem to be. So there you go!
