The Arena's 20th anniversary is coming up! :blink:
How would you like us to celebrate it?

Would any drawing contest be nice? The subject would, of course, be the 20th anniversary of the Arena.
Or how about a photo or drawing contest where a new forum logo / image would be made?

This just reminded me that in three days I'll have my MLPA 10 year jubilee... and I never thought I'd remain active that long. Just wanted to sell my childhood ponies when I registered :lol:
This place has become much quieter over the years with the rise of social media and "other" pony sites. Maybe some sort of chronological look back?

Make custom ponies with a 20th anniversary design and have a contest to vote and the winner gets a special prize.
Or do a new arena logo.
I know this sounds really crazy but how about everyone has a clean slate or not.

20 years of the Arena. Oh heck, I am old :) I remember when the Arena was just some new upstart site and the Trading Post and the mailing lists were still the dominant forms of communication.
...It's 25 years for me this August since I first came online and found what was then the early pony community O.o. Wow. Thanks Loa. Now I actually feel really, really old...

Agreed, spice up the logo! Custom contest is always fun.
I'd like a clean slate on my signature strikes, yar har de har har. I stopped having a siggy pic after photobucket bit the big one and kinda miss having one, but don't wanna risk the wrath of Bertha.

Wow, nearly 20 already?! How time flies! I'm so glad the Arena is still around, I don't mind that it's a bit quieter these days, you just can't get proper discussion anywhere else these days.
I'd love to see old screenshots!!!

I'd like to see some things from throughout the 20 year period. I just don't know what format that would take. Maybe some of the most popular threads from each year or something? Maybe some data analyses would be cool, too.
Art contest or custom contest could be cool, too, I would most likely participate.

wow! I feel so old!! but I think come competitions would be ace :) customs, drawing, puzzles :) I would say custom swap but I dont know how many would sign up for it as postage is crazy expensive now :/

I agree with throwback photos, older posts, maybe a coloring contest? I'm honestly glad the Arena is here, and it's amazing that it's that old! <3

i vote for coloring contest!! all these ideas do sound fun but some i'd probably be unable to participate in (custom contest, etc)

Wow... I refuse to believe the Arena has been around that long! Noooo! how crazy :D And I certainly agree that it's worthy of celebration! I do like the idea of some sort of contest!

I joined MLP Arena in 2006 - but I was collecting MLPs for my granddaughter long before this.
GD fell out of ponies - onto Braatz Dolls etc.etc. - I went on and on and on and collected thousands of Nirvanas, all USA releases and bought, renewed old returned to glory - dirty tired ponies - My hobby
Now I am OLD.
Now I am Retired - and selling off my huge collection - it was fun and I love it and learnt a lot.
What to do for 20 years MLPs?? Photos of collections - 2- 2000! Whatever! Sets, singles - favourites.

Photos of Collections! YES! Although I have a youngin so all the ponies are in boxes or else the tot will claim them. She already claimed all my custom paint test fakies, including the headless and disembodied heads that don't match the former. Maybe I will photograph her collection because I find it so hilarious.

Oh my! Time flies! I also remember the magic in finding this place. The Arena was a huuuge part of me getting into MLPs again. I really only wanted to know how to clean and take care of my childhoods, and then my sister found the Arena and it was done! We both got hooked :heart:
