Have a few US of her and a white Tootsie.
Starting from the very beginning of MLP this year. Will continue to dedicate the first few days to birthday ponies in celebration of those born within that month.

I'll pass, neither green nor white Tootsie have ever appealed to me. Though now her song from the UK tape is in my head x)
Never seen that Peruvian Tootsie before, she's lovely!

I have a regular, a white HK...possibly a white Italy...and a BF. That's probably it.
Green is the standard version for the UK as well. It's not just a "US" release. So she's pretty common here in that form :)
The white ones came from the Netherlands.
I was never massively interested in having her as a child because I saw her at school sometimes and I knew she was in a pose that as a kid I disliked (I don't mind it now).
But she was a cute and prominent comic character and she did have the song as well, which is also now in my head too :D So I never disliked her.
I remember LM giving me a masterclass on her name a few years back xD.

This girl has somehow eluded me in over ten years of G1 collecting. :lol: I'm not going out of my way to track her down, but if I stumbled across her I'd definitely buy her.

I have 2 standard versions; one from childhood. My daughter has the BF version. She's one of my favorite ponies from my childhood collection; definitely the one I'm most sentimental about.
To this day, I still don't know how to pronounce her name. Is it Tootsie like Tootsie Roll (the only place I have heard this word) or Toot-sie, like a horn toots? My sister and I always said the latter growing up, but I think I'm wrong. We still call her that in my household...my son calls her the fart pony.

Well, you can always dismiss it as a UK pronunciation if you like ;)
Though I think the prevailing theory is it comes from tootsie roll somehow...I don't know for sure.
I guess Tootsie is another one with a non-matching name and symbol. I never thought of it before because 'Pollipop Latch' is so ingrained in my head from childhood xD.
I also discovered a spanish one in my cupboard that I forgot to mention earlier ;)

Tootsie is... fine. I do like her colors; It's always great to see green ponies. I just don't think they go particularly well with the lollipops/candy theme.

I'm really freaked out by her name now you mention it. Simply because I had no idea what it meant and never really thought about it! How could I not notice how odd that is! I'm sure I've had tootsie rolls though, I think someone sent them to me in a swap. Yum yum.

I don't like green Tootsie, nor that fact that AFAIK she's named after Tootsie Pops. (I googled around to see if "tootsie" was ever a generic name for candy; doesn't seem like it. The guy who invented them named them after his daughter.) Tootsie Rolls are my least favorite Halloween candy.
For people who don't have Tootsie Rolls locally, they're vaguely chocolate-flavored nougat:

That's really odd that they used it for a pony name...I would think it would be proprietary, since it doesn't seem to exist anywhere other than in connection with that candy brand.
A woman I once knew referred to Tootsie Rolls as 'fake chocolate'. She hated chocolate, but could eat Tootsie Rolls because it was like a chocolate substitute.
