Title: Made a pony a home, just in time for Valentine's Day

Okay, I have had this project sitting around half-finished for YEARS but I was determined to finish it by Valentine's Day this year.

So one day I was at Goodwill and I found these wooden boxes that had been used to hold specialty rum. The top slides on / off and they have protective plastic on the front.  Perfect for collectibles.

First I took off the rope handle and painted them white with acrylic paint.

Then I cut paper to fit the walls / floor of the box and used the paper patterns to cut out thin cardboard from a cereal box.

I glued fabric--from cloth napkins also from Goodwill--over the cardboard.

I hot glued them in and for a final touch, hot glued a new ribbon handle.  (Just for show, I would never dare lift it by the handle, lol.)

Finally a home for prototype SS Heart Throb!

Ah! That’s lovely! I love making miniature displays and ‘rooms’ for collectibles

Aw! When I saw the picture, I thought, that must be protoHT xD. I'm glad she has her own little space now :D

Oh wow, a happy Valentine's Day for Heartthrob indeed!! :heart: And wow, a prototype!!! What a cool find, and what a cool way to display her!

My only (potentially unfounded) fear; is the fabric color fast? And if you are not sure, might I suggest a dainty white paper doily for her to stand on! ;)
