Title: Do factory curls have (hair) product in them?
Post by: kingluke on October 29, 2021, 08:44:35 AM
Hello everyone,

I received a lot of ponies today. Some have really neat curls, but also a lot of hairproduct in their mane.

My question is, is that how they came or have they been restyled?
The following ponies have this hair: Applejack, mm Windy, mm Mirror mirror, seaflower and baby wiggles

I want to give them a spa day but I'd like to be sure before I do anything.

Picture for clarification

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,

Luke

Those don't look like factory curls. I have a few ponies with some curl and their hair is soft, no product in them.

Factory curls are usually set with heat, not product. While Seaflower is very pretty here, if you look at MOC photos, you can see her hair is not curled in that style.

G1 factory curls don't have product in them. But a lot of sellers restyle or curl the hair.

Some products are fine but others can make the hair brittle, so it's worth keeping that in mind.

those are not factory curls, looks like someone slicked styling product all over it.

That was indeed the case. I washed it out easily thankfully :)
